It was an actual pipe organ in the main ballroom that had an auto play built in. The pipes are all around you and under you in the walls and floor, so it was really cool to hear in person!!!

Hi Robbie!! Nope this was a first visit for all of us. I've vlogged a few other mansion tours so maybe it could be one of them? It was really amazing inside. My favorite part was the pipe organ that was playing in the ball room. The pipes were all sealed in the walls and floor so the sounds came from everywhere! It was beautiful and eerie at the same time!!!!
The English garden is spectacular, reminds me of the movie the secret garden. It was really generous of his children to donate the property to have it preserved. I agree it does seem to have several architectural influences going on but it still seems to have a flow to it. As fantastic as the inside of the home is real star for me is the grounds. The tunnel leading to the lookout point was super nice. Imagine walking out there n the cool morning with a cup of coffee to reflect on the coming day.
I could probably just spend hours in the English Garden. I imagined the whole group of them just out for lunch or tea out there. I really loved that tunnel view!!! I had to wait about 5 or so minutes for people to stop walking through to get that shot! I can only imagine what it must have been like to have the whole place to yourself!!!
The grounds remind me of Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden just outside Richmond, Virginia. If my phone would let me upload videos I’ll post the rest of my Newport, R.I. trip.
But the pronunciation is Stan Hugh-wet as in stone hewn.
Think Hugh Jackman got wet.
