Abandoned Ice Factory, Asheville - circa 2004

Asheville River Arts District had several factories and Asheville Ice & Storage was one of them, built in 1906. It served Asheville's cooling needs and lay abandoned for many years providing shelter for homeless and real estate for graffiti writers to practice on. It was demolished in 2013 leaving only the old smoke stack.
