This is how I fold bed sheets. Husband still is baffled.

Thank you for your comment. I will be back on Trail for my next section on the AT in a few weeks! (Which reminds me that I never finished making the videos from my Fall 22 section...) Keep an eye out for new videos. :)

You should actually stuff your tent because when you continuously fold it the same way over and over again it weakens the waterproofing and the fabric + it is easier to stuff it

Great video! I just bought my xmid 2 so this was very handy. Did you cut your Tyvek to civer just the inner floor or did you include the vestibules? Cheers, Dan

Thanks, Dan! I cut it in a rectangle to include the vestibules. I use the Tyvek kite material, it's a little lighter than the house wrap at about 5oz.

"28oz; can't beat it?" Xmid Pro 2 - 21oz. One can only imagine what Xmid Pro 1 will weigh?

I'm sure it's lighter. I prefer double walled tents though. Thanks for watching and your comment.

I genuinely do not understand why you would fold a non dyneema tent. Stuffing is is so much easier and quicker. I use a Sea to Summit compression dry bag which will reduce the volume to half that of the sack that the tent comes in. Yes it is heavier. I carry a smaller compression dry bag for the inner which is used when packing the inner first in wet conditions. Yes extra weight again. I live with it.

I keep my inner and outer attached all the time, so folding and rolling it is the quickest way for me to open it back up and not get tangled. No stuff sacks. If it's wet I put it in there outer mesh pocket on my pack until I can dry it (or have to set it up wet again).

This would not be a good way when the tent is soaked from rain or condensation. You would be soaked but otherwise good info thx

Thanks! When it's wet I do the same thing but usually put it in the back mesh pocket of my pack. I use a Nyloflume liner bag so I can put it inside if I really want to.
