The thing about these podcasts is you never knew certain people were so engaging and have the ability to talk intelligently but it's also funny. Great interview.
He is treating this like basketball. We put in the hours practicing to become Agent 0, so he is new to this so he putting in that work to establish his shows. Hope for nothing but continued success for Gil and crew
Gil being my favorite player, for years I seen him as a hybrid of Harden and Dame. The size, the strength, the quickness, the range. Gil was that nigga in the court
All of Gil's former teammates have great interviews.. they tell the funniest stories of how the league was in their era. A whole lot of insight with a dash of entertainment.
Great episode! BH was great to listen to as always. Another reason why i like watching him on tv. & this was too short Gil! You can’t have him on and we don’t get a 2-3hr episode 😂😂 Y’all owe us lol
The Wizards took a step backwards when they didn't re-sign Larry Hughes after the 2005 season. Larry was the perfect complement to Gilbert and took on the tough defensive assignments. He had to perfect personality to balance Gilbert's personality. Caron Butler was an admirable replacement, but Larry Hughes was a better fit.
THIS IS AN AMAZING EPISODE!!!! I ALWAYS LOVED BIG 'WOOD! HE HAS MAJOR INSIGHT IN THE GAME! SHOULD BE A COACH IN THE LEAGUE...I LOVED HOW HE EXPLAINED JOKIC'S GAME....LOVE YOU GIL, JOSIAH, and BIG 'WOOD!
That Wizards team had brilliant minds! They all have NBA jobs of some sort. Girl's Arena Wizards Edition. Jamison ,Hughes , E. Brand, Jared Jefferies ECT.
I get the Jokic can assist but what about the other bigs that dont have the assist but dominate the defensive end like the dream or Dwight Howard. Those blocks and changed shots are just as big
at 15:35 i don't think people understand how something so basic and simple, can go long ways with some players careers. i love hearing stories of the guys i watched growing up have to say, now that they are retired, for me that's Gil's era, Kobe, Iverson etc so hearing their stories is so dope like him talking about Carslile at 11:48 saying he had a janky jumper, i obviously never met Rick; but i 100% believe what Brendan saying lol hopefully the players Gil bring on here can tell us more coaching stories like that
Grew up in the DC area and I remember seeing Brendan Haywood come into the barbershop with a already bald head and no beard. It was the craziest shit I ever seen. Bro really came just for the vibes.
Seeing as how Gil has said he and Kwame text everyday, I really want to see them sit on multiple interviews speaking on EVERYTHING. That would be another incredible show with the minds and comedic quips they would both have. As a fan of all you guys, please try to put that in motion.
I had no idea his basketball IQ was so high. I'd like to see him on the Wizards coaching staff. They could (and have) do a lot worse than him. Also that LeBron game winner story was one of the coldest stories I've ever heard about a player. I can't wait for more of those stories to start coming out.
Brendan: How did yu know NOT 2 Throw the ball to Larry Hughes for the Shot. Gil: Larry was supposed to get the ball 🤔 BUTT-NAKED!!! Lol Very good interview.
The thought of MJ telling Gil that he reminded him of Randy Brown after Gil thought he had did sumthin' by dropping 40 pts jus had me dying laughing for like a half an hour...Mike was a bastard...Brendan Hayward said "Nah, Randy Brown was COLD back in the day" which made Josiah bust out laughin' like: 'nigga nobody in NBA history has EVER uttered those words' 😆🤣😂I can see this nigga Mike playing mind tricks after the game, tellin Gil "Good game. U remind me of Randy Brown"😆The only response is "🤨😑yo my nigga, stop playin' wit me" 😆😂
Even knowing Gil is full of crap alot, and talks from both ends on things, I love this pod anyway. Sports talk is the best thing that happened to fans in the youtube age. Listening to Q Richardson, Sheed....all of them.
What BH said about Wemby is exactly what Tatum and Brown need to do. They dont take advantage of their size when playing smaller players like curry, Poole, Vincent etc. Wasting time trying to shake and bake step back 3s against quicker, smaller players and turning it over.
49:07 also the only player to lead all averages in the 3 major statistical categories in the final (points, rebounds, and averages) 50:48 n that starting 5 is 🔥
This is low-key one of the most fire episodes 😂🔥 Brendan Haywood is an amazing conversationalist
Facts and you can tell what Gil was saying about all of them having great basketball minds. You can tell he definitely knows the game.
Better than shump 🤔
@@ajanicanton8990 Shump likes to talk a lot, but Haywood is definitely a much better conversationalist. Haywood has been working at Nba TV for years.
Naw fr bro lol
@@ajanicanton8990hell naw nobody better then Shump!
Had no idea I needed a Haywood interview…. This guy is amazing 😩😂
Aye he was decent when ge played too. Solid rebounder. A poor mans tyson chandler imo
Brendan Haywood knows ball, it's refreshing hearing him speak. He and Gil work great together
It’s good to see people who actually know sports, comment and cover them.
Rt!! I almost ddnt even watch it then cldnt turn tha sh!t!!🤣))) 👀💻🤯😂
Replace Doc Rivers before he gets started
The Ron Artest story was hilarious!!! “I didn’t want to get snuffed out. He seemed sincere.”
😂😂😂
🤣 that was a good impression too. I'm sure it went just like that!
Ron probably would had done that shit also. 😮😮
Had me crying 😭😭
Ron definitely would have snuffed one of them out fds... This is the same dude that started the Malice in the Palace
The thing about these podcasts is you never knew certain people were so engaging and have the ability to talk intelligently but it's also funny. Great interview.
Best episode yet. Brendan needs to be a regular on the show!
Yes they need to replace the dude with the crown
@@alsimmons9975😂😂😂😂
@@alsimmons9975 true but Bendan getting that NBA Network money.
Exactly they need to replace Miko ass w/ him!
Josiah, you are the best in the game as a host!! Always steering the conversation in the right direction.
👍👍👍👍👍
Whose Josiah?
i was just saying this to myself, doesnt talk over everyone but always makes sure every topic gets hit
The last host was not it, he seemed cool but he always felt out of place
Gil is putting in too much work this summer. Love it.
He is treating this like basketball. We put in the hours practicing to become Agent 0, so he is new to this so he putting in that work to establish his shows. Hope for nothing but continued success for Gil and crew
and mad respect for what Brendan saying at 18:15 about Gil being a bigger Dame, dude was straight 🥶 🧊 ❄️
Yea gil was a problem before the injury. He would cook the league 10x more now if he played
I never thought about that, but as soon as Brendan said it, I said: EXACTLY!!!
Gil being my favorite player, for years I seen him as a hybrid of Harden and Dame. The size, the strength, the quickness, the range. Gil was that nigga in the court
This was a great interview. Didn’t kno he was this funny and had such a high basketball IQ
All of Gil's former teammates have great interviews.. they tell the funniest stories of how the league was in their era. A whole lot of insight with a dash of entertainment.
One of the best episodes of No Chill with Gilert Arenas
33:52 he seemed sincere🤣
😅😅😅😅😅
46:56 man he maxed JR out with that one😂😂😂😂
GIL bring this nigga on the show as many times as you can. Bro is funny and smart just like you 💪🏽

Terrific episode. Will always be grateful for his contributions during the ‘11 mavs championship run.
What a great interview, it was interesting to hear him talk about Jordan
46:56 this the funniest part of the whole video😅
Great episode! BH was great to listen to as always. Another reason why i like watching him on tv.
& this was too short Gil! You can’t have him on and we don’t get a 2-3hr episode 😂😂 Y’all owe us lol
Brendan Haywood brings back early 2000s nostalgia, the big man dominant NBA era, and NBA 2k on the original Xbox
That was great. As soon as I seen y’all were interviewing him I instantly locked in💯🤣

They could have re-signed Larry AND got Caron too.
Yea but gilbert was a chunk..he was a great scorer..but he didn't make nobody better...
I agree I am from Cleveland Larry and Gil used to torch us

Great guest, awesome storyteller, educated and well articulated opinions and analysis of the game. Keep up the good work, Brendan!
Gil's Arena 🔥....Gotta Love It🔥....
I like that comparison of Gil..." A bigger Dame" Excellent comparison and interview.Very insightful.
Kyrie almost sent him to the “upper room” is crazy
This why I love new media. B wood is a great guest
I see kyrie in the caption for gills podcast, its very simple, I CLICK
B. Hayward should be a regular on Gil's Arena fr. I wouldn't mind hearing from larry as well.

Fire conversation, we need more Wizards topics GIL
14:54 bro tell me Haywood sound just like Obama right here “There were certain rules in place” 😂😂😂😂
“Raggedy Azz Jumpshot” took me out 😂😂😂😂💯 Brendon a real one

Wizards culture hasn’t changed. We had so much talent over the YEARS and haven’t done nothing with it, except trade them away. Its crazy
Beal ain't that good
Ayooooo that Ron artest impression was solid 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was awesome
Brendan: How did yu know NOT 2 Throw the ball to Larry Hughes for the Shot.
Gil: Larry was supposed to get the ball 🤔
BUTT-NAKED!!! Lol Very good interview.
Brendon Haywood great interview didn’t know he was this funny.
Great podcast Gill IS the BEST

The thought of MJ telling Gil that he reminded him of Randy Brown after Gil thought he had did sumthin' by dropping 40 pts jus had me dying laughing for like a half an hour...Mike was a bastard...Brendan Hayward said "Nah, Randy Brown was COLD back in the day" which made Josiah bust out laughin' like: 'nigga nobody in NBA history has EVER uttered those words' 😆🤣😂I can see this nigga Mike playing mind tricks after the game, tellin Gil "Good game. Does Gil ever acknowledge a compliment- he is often showered with praise and just sits there.
Mavs 2011! Love hearing the stories from Big Wood
Low key one of my favourite players in the league. He doesn't have to be the best player but if he gets 10 and 7 in a game, I'm happy.
Even knowing Gil is full of crap alot, and talks from both ends on things, I love this pod anyway. Sports talk is the best thing that happened to fans in the youtube age. Listening to Q Richardson, Sheed....all of them.
Brendon Haywood is super hilarious 😂 😂😂
Dope show folks
That wizards team that he was talking about, he’s right. They had some talent on that squad.
Brendan funny as shit on NBATV foreal😂😂
Facts 😂
Brendan Haywood my guy, good story teller. Thanks Guys!
If anyone wanted to know the other 3 players that played with Jordan and LeBron is Scott Williams, Jerry Stackhouse and Larry Hughes ..
They have to get Antwan Jamison & Larry Hughes on the show. That Wizard team was lit.
What BH said about Wemby is exactly what Tatum and Brown need to do. They dont take advantage of their size when playing smaller players like curry, Poole, Vincent etc. Wasting time trying to shake and bake step back 3s against quicker, smaller players and turning it over.
Brendan's impressions were crazy lol...i really thought Baron Davis And Ron Artest were in the room with yall 😂
49:07 also the only player to lead all averages in the 3 major statistical categories in the final (points, rebounds, and averages) 50:48 n that starting 5 is 🔥
Brendon Haywood reminds me of Andre Iguodala. His mannerisms & story telling is the same lol plus intellect is high as well
Was Dwight Howard the last “shaq” type big that was dominant?
Embid but only when he ona box and not tryna shoot the fuckn mid range
None are on Shaqs level.
