The fact that makes Jake different from other artists, I don't know how many of you have observed, is the fact that he sounds exactly the same in LIVE Concerts like he does in his recorded songs. You don't seem to find any sort of difference or adulteration in his voice. There is no 'Auto-tune' it's just him and his guitar and his beautiful soulful voice.
Then his lyrics, they've never been about the insignificant terms that have gained fame these days. His lyrics are carefully carved words and rhymes that seem to speak to so many of us. I, as a voracious Jake Bugg listener, have connected with his lyrics on a heavenly level, and I find peace when he sings. His lyrics are actual meaningful words that have held comfortably and subtly the marvelous intricacies of life and presented them in a mellifluous melody.
I've been a fan of Jake since I don't even remember when, and there is not ONE song of his that I've got tired of listening. I'm sure everyone is aware how absolutely rare is that in the current era of gibberish music.
Jake's music has saved my life and the life of music itself. It did way more than just rekindling my faith in him and his music-it also gave me hope that real artists will come up and do their thing- regardless of the noisy environment around them.
This might sound a little too overwhelming but 'overwhelm' is just an understatement for the kind of hysteria I feel when I hear his voice.
So with all my heart and soul I thank you Jake Bugg for the absolutely unrequitable favor of existing. We're forever indebted to you.
He is a simple boy. A boy with a guitar. And that makes him magic!
