Oh my god, this entire song is SO GOOD. Everything about it. I love the way it builds, from the quiet, slow, vulnerable singing at the beginning to the middle, when you can hear him screaming inside at himself "everything is shattering, and it's my mistake. Only fools fall for you!". The video is absolutely stunningly elegant, with the changing of directions of the falling petals. It creates such a cool effect, I just love it. And when it gets to the second chorus, I was expecting them to change direction again, and when they didn't, it was like, woah. These little things kind of invigorate your brain and make you think about the song so much more. Such a beautiful idea, and so well executed, fitting the song perfectly. And the pre-chorus, "I see swimming pools, and living rooms, and aeroplanes, I see a little house on a hill, with children's names" and that whole bit gives me CHILLS. SO COOL. And near the end, about 3 quarters through, when the chord pattern changes, it changes the whole vibe so much. This whole song is so well produced, down to the 8-bit music in the background at the end. And Troye makes it seem like he means every single lyric (which he probably does), and during the chorus, he sounds so vulnerable and desperate and like I said before, it's like he's screaming inside at himself. BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO, I don't think I will ever get over this song. Thank you for this.

I appreciate Renjun's and BTS's cover. However, i think only Troye's voice is able to fully convey the depth as well as the meaning of this song. His voice brings a extremely different feeling🥰

I just listed to the cover because everyone is talking about it. I felt like Renjun sung the song… nothing wrong with that but Troye FELT the song. That is why I love Troye’s original. There is a sincerity that I get from Troye when I sing along with him that makes me get a lump in my throat. Hearing anyone else sing it feels like a performance and that is not this song for me. It’s like there are times when you perform and there are other times when you are literally telling a story. Fools is the story telling for me.
