All the people saying this a dull review don't know how slow paced films feel like. Watching short form content like 15 sec TikTok video has reduced the viewing attention time of many people due to which they need a pump at every 15 sec. I loved this because it didn't blow my head by over tuned music or B-roll with shaky frames/transitions. It was very calm and informative and I felt like sitting in the car next to the host ♥️
Man this car is a bomb. 0-100 in 8.4 seconds (seen many foreign tests). It’s essentially fastest car in India under 30L (only dethroned by superb sportline with 7.7 0-100). It’s even faster than erstwhile punto abarth which was a dedicated hot hatch (it had 8.8 seconds 0-100). Plus it will go above 200 kmph without any fuss. It’s sad how people compare it with creta turbo/seltos gt DCT (9.7 seconds 0-100) or harrier/compass (above 10 seconds 0-100). Ever heard about power to weight ratio and fast shifting DSG? Only 170bhp doesn’t matter (compass/harrier), a car should be a package of good engine, gearbox, chasis, steering feel, brakes etc. Also, it may be small on inside, but it’s still longer and wider than creta/seltos and has more boot space than even harrier/compass at 445 ltr. Also it has some unique features like front parking sensors, paddle shifters, Adaptive frontlight system (AFS), Front assist, lane keep assist, full led headlights & indicators, one touch up and down windows, green tinted heat insulated windows, heated orvm, Active cylinder tech (ACT), etc which no car offers at this price point. It do miss out on some essential features like electric driver’s seat and cruise control, but if you are a driving enthusiast and don’t have typical “bada hai toh behthar hai” mentality, you should seriously consider Troc over the rest (given that it’s not already sold out)
True, plus you get the solid German build quality, 4 years warranty, exclusivity of a CBU and the sexy looks (coupe looks like Audi Q3). It’s a overall package IMO

Absolutely true...same goes for the ‘overpriced’ comments on the Jeep Compass videos. Only features do not make a good car. It’s the overall coming together of the package.
The reason why VWs don't sell much in India is because of their AS&S. Their service is bad even in Metro cities. If they did not care about the Indian market, they wouldn't be bombarding the market with SUVs, they wouldn't have discontinued the DSG on the Polo and Vento or they wouldn't have discontinued the TDI engines. No one on their right mind would offer only a Turbo-Petrol on their SUV lineup. They make highly questionable decisions. Their high volume cars like Polo and Vento themselves have issues regarding the availability of spares. And I'm not even going to get started about Homologated cars.

VW gives tyres on the car which should be there.. My Polo came with 15 inch 185.. Even current Honda City comes with 175... So you can say VW don't compromise on tyres which actually enhances its safety at high speed along with the stability
Forget T ROC.. Even Polo comes with more wider tyres than the Honda City... City comes with 175 mm of width but polo comes standard with 185..although city is 1.5 L and polo is 1.2..
Lovely soothing BGM and what an engaging presentation by Aatish. It felt like he took me on a drive, stopped somewhere and explained everything about the T-ROC. The product positioning reminds me of the XC40, both of which are highly desirable urban SUVs. T-ROC is a car you can use for grocery shopping as well as for that Sunday adventure drive or even arriving at a 5-star hotel.

like it..love it.. different n funky from the normal boring so called compact SUVs plying on our roads..good option for a 2nd car if the new gen Polo doesn't launch soon..I am driving 1st gen creta so planning to upgrade to new gen tiguan,/Jetta/Octavia..but if these three doesn't launch within 3-4 years.ill have to seriously consider buying these T looker before them.. orange/black color for me ..good honest review...this cars not for everyone 😷😷😇😇
For your kind information, the gearbox is the infamous DSQ200 which is a dry clutch unit and prone to heating issues, Kangaroo effect. It should have been provided with much better wet clutch type, DSQ381, like in the Tiguan.
Why do we prefer SUV more? Because of Indian roads :.. Full of potholes , speed breakers and patch roads. Normal roads itself like off-roading and need more ground clearance.

VW India should get the Taigun first as it will rival the likes of Seltos and Creta once Launched. T-Cross being a CBU is expensive and even If they manufacture it here locally, the pricing will be the key. Most people buy SUVs for their road presence , hence we have a lot of Pseudo SUV in India and this will appeal to a niche market. T-Roc is amazing car but it misses out few key features like hydraulic struds, powered tailgate, electric adjustable driving seat with memory function, height adjustable seatbelts, adaptive guidelines for parking and maybe a wireless charging
Except for the design elements, the over-all silhouette looks a LOT like the Audi Q3. Oh and I have a small thing to say. Next time onwards when you're doing backseat reviews. . please do mention atleast the basic height of the reviewer. For us to get a better idea. Else it's a vague thing, saying there's 2 inches more of space etc. Please look into it. Oh btw the T roc seems very mature and impressive. Cheers!!
VW cars r very good no doubt, but to b honest at this price point Skoda & Jeep kill the competition, if u r there for a car within 30L that will give u a feel of 60-65L, go for Skoda Karoq or Octavia, best interior, premium quality, fit n finish & ride n handling, all these things r plus points of Skoda Karoq/Octavia. Now if u extend ur budget & go for Kodiaq/Superb, then u vl Land urself in a private Jet, they r that premium. If u want an SUV that can take u anywhere within 30L then close ur eyes & go for Jeep Compass. VW never took Indian Market seriously. Even T Roc is not a very good product, I vl rather place Kia Seltos or Creta above T Roc......🙏
But no electronic seats at 24 lakh price tag. Is pushing it. Ventilator seats instead of Heated seats. I am not denying the service value and quality of VW group and after owning Polo for 7 years now. I would have loved to go for T-ROC. It does have a miss. Citroen Aircross coming in same segment, let's see what they do!

Superb Car ,but too pricey,no presence. Better if VW would have brought the Golf at this price. This car is no more than a slightly bigger VW polo, but BRILLIANT.
Why shouldn't i buy creta or harrier over this car? They have drive modes and better service availability. No reason to buy vw in india. They don't want to invest more here. Kia motors is doing wonders as they invested in our market.
I booked a Seltos GTX+ DCT and later bought T-Roc Indium Grey. Trust me there is no comparison in drive quality, stability, insulation and noise inside cabin. Not even a SINGLE part of Seltos is better than T-Roc, not even one.
I had a great driving experience with skoda and VW cars but after 10 years of sticking to these brand i had to give up due to pathetic and troubling after sales service of these companies....parts are unavailable and they charge extravagantly for any service plus outside mechanics never touch these cars...if u had a breakdown somewhere,nobody can help u there...sirf city drive kr skte ho jahan pass me showroom h, vo bhi showroom vaale rula dete hain with service...i had to wait for 2 months for side indicators switch for my POLO.... Everything is imported and more than money u cant rely for long trips coz nobody will come to help u if there is a breakdown....
Build quality of the dash is VW, but hard plastics look cheap.....eh! Space in the backseat is not great, less xo pared to creta but otherwise it is great.....eh!!!

Because of these cars the other car manufacturers tend to increase the cost as well, when they see this small compact miniature SUV is selling at such high price then why can't theirs ! My main concern was to categorise this to a SUV segment when it doesn't look like one ! It just looks hatchback. Speaking about performance it doesn't have that great performance as well it's just a CBU unit and for that reason it's priced high and the reviewers needs to get the sell going.

Why shouldn't i buy creta or harrier over this car? They have drive modes and better service availability. No reason to buy vw in india. They don't want to invest more here. Kia motors is doing wonders as they invested in our market.

In this price bracket its the Seltos i would go for..
I booked a Seltos GTX+ DCT and later bought T-Roc Indium Grey. Trust me there is no comparison in drive quality, stability, insulation and noise inside cabin. Not even a SINGLE part of Seltos is better than T-Roc, not even one.

I had a great driving experience with skoda and VW cars but after 10 years of sticking to these brand i had to give up due to pathetic and troubling after sales service of these companies....parts are unavailable and they charge extravagantly for any service plus outside mechanics never touch these cars...if u had a breakdown somewhere,nobody can help u there...sirf city drive kr skte ho jahan pass me showroom h, vo bhi showroom vaale rula dete hain with service...i had to wait for 2 months for side indicators switch for my POLO.... Everything is imported and more than money u cant rely for long trips coz nobody will come to help u if there is a breakdown....
Build quality of the dash is VW, but hard plastics look cheap.....eh! Space in the backseat is not great, less xo pared to creta but otherwise it is great.....eh!!!
With all those priorities, why not just go with an Octavia and get a much better looking car.

@@m.panandapadmanabhan4254 Yes. Because in Europe itself diesel soon will be completely stopped. So nobody is producing completely new engines. And making an engine compliant with emission norms is the toughest thing for any manufacturer.
So for 1000 unit sales, they aren't going to make a diesel BS6 compliant

@@sirishch That's the thing. Some reviewers drop an early verdict criticising things the common people wouldn't even care about. Hell I've driven plenty of cars across the price spectrum and not once have I spent more than 30 seconds on what type of plastic the dash and doors have. The channels which pay attention to the right stuff and praise a really good product get called out for being PAID. Really sad mentality :/
People like you and channels like you make these unnecessary expensive car sell.. "who says prize should not correspond to size" it doesn't stand out with the SuVs available in that price range. Different strokes for different folks! And everybody is entitled to their opinion. Some buyers might not need the space, they might want performance or style! Isn’t it great that there are cars for all kinds of buyers rather than cars that deliver only fuel efficiency?
It is a fantastic car to drive, and it has some cutting edge technologies. Sure, the dimensions are small, but someone likes it they'll buy it 😛

And why should we compromise on quality when we are paying so much more? Sir, shouldn't we think we are unnecessarily promoting expensive products ? Because of these cars the other car manufacturers tend to increase the cost as well, when they see this small compact miniature SUV is selling at such high price then why can't theirs ! My main concern was to categorise this to a SUV segment when it doesn't look like one ! It just looks hatchback. Speaking about performance it doesn't have that great performance as well it's just a CBU unit and for that reason it's priced high and the reviewers needs to get the sell going.
