Pretty much when we have lady on board the opponent should hold the interactions to chain our traps. So we miss the lady set.
@@Bungee_Gum lady lab needs to chain directly to the trap to activate. So if you chain literally anything to the trap, the window for it to activate is gone
The most important tip for beating Lab is holding a quick effect to chain to their normal track card activation so they can not chain Lady to set another normal trap from deck.
These videos are actually great, my problem with yu gi oh is having to adapt to something new every few months, I just can’t keep up but this definitely helps a lot
Was able to clap a Labrynth deck with RDA Bystial. No one sees Nat Bark coming anymore, and especially no one expects a Scarlet Security out of left field. My deck may not make me King of Games, but by God I will claim my title as King of Jank.
I once tried sidedecking a jinzo and royal decree just for labrynts. I would say Jinzo is the better option. I had a game where I bystiald my opponents furniture monster during his endphase and during my turn I immediately tribute summoned Jinzo and it was pretty much game from there since he had 5 cards set
Spent over a year never running into Lab at any locals or regionals i’ve been to so i’m glad we got a recent refresher on the deck lmao keep up the great work
7:06 actually good labrynth players dont lose to evenly since we can set/activate virus at the start of battle phase, declare traps and then take out your evenly, and if not possilbe just trigger most effects we can at the start of battle phase that way we only lose 1 card face down
That's fair, but to play devils advocate, 1) Lab loses a blowout card vs the meta, and has to hope the rest of the hand isn't gas, and 2) I've seen EEV at 1 in side decks, so Lab has to decide if that's the best set, or is it something else, since it's less likely to be opened
Red reboot is very powerful against lab deck. And also its good against almost all decks because most decks do use imperm or other form of traps. I came here for solution of the problem but right now i realize i had solution already 😂
Already done! It's a little outdated but it's still very relevant! Just search MattOshea How to beat Rescue-Ace or check out the How to beat playlist on the channel! 😊
Little reminder that Ghost belle is an excellent counter to Lab. Big welcome can SS from GY, Stovie SS itself from GY, Chandelier goes from GY to hand, and cool lock can do either preventing those plays. Overall though, I think the real reason why people don’t like Alan isn’t because the archetype itself but rather the floodgates it can abuse like Virus/ D barrier. But even then people are already playing natural counters to Lab since Rescue Ace is pretty dominant with its backrow potential and Unchained already has people running Marionette to counter fiends so I don’t think it’s as broken as people complain it is.
Belle is fine, but it's not as impactful to the rest of the meta so it's not seeing widespread play, also because lab is arguably weaker to other cards, it's not being sided for lab specifically. In reality it's very difficult to stop lab from.setting up the floodgates but most of the time they set you back a turn. I've noticed that if you can stop their engine, it doesn't matter what floodgates they have since you can simply keep pressuring them every turn
Basically, ash big welcome and pray they didn't top deck any of their off engine traps like dimensional barrier, daruma, or eradicator. Pls Konami can you just stop making floodgates :(
@@MattOsheaYGO as a labrynth player I know for a fact really the ONLY way to stop their infinite cycle recursion and interruption is to negate big welcome and chain block lady after any trap activates. But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you stop me from searching whatever I want if I simply draw it. Thank god konami had enough of a brain to make it so that you can only activate 1 effect of big welcome per turn, otherwise this deck would seriously be absurd. Can't wait for transaction rollback to come out in tcg and completely invalidate this deck's primary weakness of negating big welcome lmao.
Really don't like talents against Labyrnth, most players will use furniture in the end phase and traps in the draw phase. Sometimes they do play handtraps like ash but most of the times lab players use them after the traps when you're lower on resources.
I remember everybody whining about Kashtira deck, so Konami destroyed the entire Kashtira deck made it total vulnerable. And now they have Unchain, Labrynth and Timelord decks without nerfing. I play Kashtira, 6 Samurai and The Winged Dragon of Ra decks, I have won timelords which is by far the most broken (i won it with Kashtira Deck) But I won unchain with Ra's deck but Lab deck is undefeatable because not only they have no forbidden, limited and semilimited cards but every lab player are so luck that always draw the same 1st round cards.

I was wondering if traptrix can compete with labrynth, given that both are trap decks. Although, labrynth has shown to be a much stronger than trap deck, given that it can search and interact with any normal trap. The one slight advantage i can say is traptrix is unaffected by trap cards if u have sera and rafflesia (with the exception of daruma cannon, knowing that card hurts sera).
