They were fed up with the Empire and its crushing regulations. They asked Palpatine for independence. But they got the exact opposite - armed stormtroopers to enforce stricter laws than ever before. This led to even more unrest. The Empire sent a dozen star destroyers to "restore order", but a nearby Rebel Alliance fleet knew the Empire really meant to wipe out what the Empire called an "enemy base" filled only with civilians. So, they went to help buy time while the citizens evacuated. There were but five ships in that fleet - a frigate, the flagship, and four blockade runners. They knew undoubtedly that they couldn't possibly destroy the enemy if they engaged, but engage they did. As the first Rebel ship was about to explode, the crew saw the first ship of now refugees enter hyperspace. The rebels on the frigate died knowing they had helped save lives. As the last Rebel ship was destroyed, the final refugee ships had finished loading and launched. The Empire got within range of the planet and opened fire, but they were too late. All the inhabitants were able to evacuate safely - all thanks to the Rebels and their undying love of protecting the innocent, no matter what the cost.
Thank you for this idea. However, I was hoping for some more creativity of building this looped experience. Repeating Spotify is smoother than this, unfortunately. ;-)
