I actually loved the run from Avengers Disassembled, House of M, Civil War, World War Hulk, Messiah Complex, Messiah War, Secret Invasion, Siege, and Second Coming. It seemed like there was actually some weight to events and continuity felt kind of clean. I am sure it is nostalgia talking, can you have nostalgia for something 10-15 years old? It seems like it has been down hill sense A v X.
You forgot a big one ONSLAUGHT!, Heroes Reborn, Heroes Die kill onslaught, go pocket dimension, and everyone gets better. Onslaught comes back and now one cared.
"××××× die, but then they don't." Pretty much the reason why death doesn't have any finality in comics. DC's not innocent of this either, of course. I'm just so over the death/rebirth trope in comics. Do a DC event list next!
I would not include Kree-Skrull War and the other reprint books of the early 80s, as they were 70s comics in reality. But Contest of Champions should be on the list for sure. I didn't see Atlantis Attacks on the video either - surely that one belongs. Also, painfully, the Clone Saga. There are a few others too. Love your videos!
Loved secret wars 1, read all the pre 2000 ones most where ok, the one bas et on the island of doctor Moro one was good Then for tired of going to funerrals for nothing.
C'mon Perch! How could you do that to Age of X-Man? You didn't describe it whatsoever, lol. I really loved that event, too bad Jonathan Hickman acted like it never happened and that's another reason why I don't like his X-Men. Besides that, it seems like every event has someone dies and comes back, so thus no event changes the world! lol I swear their tagline for every event is that "it will change the world and it will never go back" - Totally false!! LOL
When put in the one paragraph summary format like you did, it shows that these "Events" are not exactly the next War and Peace or 1984 ...and are pretty forgettable. And I know that some rabid fanboy now feels obligated to attack me due to my not understanding the deep, dire, underlying meanings of his favorite event. Maybe we should just come to the realization that comics aren't deep ---- but they're great for coming home from the office, putting your mind on hold for a while, and reading an enjoyable time-killer. " It's only a comic book " --- Alan Moore
Ok... After this i have the perfect Marvel event. Heroes fights heroes in space and everybody dies (but then they don't).
We get the details later.
What this list really rubbed in for me was how constant and insignificant these events are.

This video could be wrapped in: Somebody dies but then they don’t 😂😂. I laughed so hard
“Ugh there’s a beyonder that looks like a white Michael Jackson (Secret Wars 2)”
People in the back: It’s Elvis 😂
You forgot a big one ONSLAUGHT!, Heroes Reborn, Heroes Die kill onslaught, go pocket dimension, and everyone gets better. Onslaught comes back and now one cared.
He also ignored Atlantis Attacks, Acts of Vengeance, Maximum Security, Operation: Galactic Storm and Operation: Zero Tolerance.
I laughed more than once while listening to this. Do DC version next please.
The events got out of control after the mid 90's.
"××××× die, but then they don't."
Pretty much the reason why death doesn't have any finality in comics. DC's not innocent of this either, of course. I'm just so over the death/rebirth trope in comics.
Do a DC event list next!
Hey, you finally found a chance to use my idea! You put your own spin on it, but it's still really neat to see this and I hope it goes over well.
Age of apocalypse, house and powers of x and Hickman's secret war are my top 3. I must admit I have read a lot of cross overs and events though.
"They die, then they dont"
Absolute madlad
X-Men vs. Inhumans and Civil War II were two of the most unecessary events of all time.
That part when Monsters Unleaded showed up. Had me dying. Yeah definitely what you to do another
Fun list! No Atlantis Attacks or X-Cutioner's Song? Or did I miss those in the list.
I didn't have Atlantis Attacks in there...
I can provide this videos to my friends and they will know immediately all I read for decades.
Wow, the memories are real. Thanks.
40 years of events summed up in one sentence: This will change everything until the next event.
“Monsters Unleashed: No *ding* ”
“Iron Man 2020 *ding* ”
I know you like Civil War, but it is silly. But...honestly, you've summed up why I hate events.
Can you do DC?
My feelings for Civil War aren’t that positive... you should check out that video with Joe.
@@ComicsPerch Huh. For some reason, I thought you liked it. Maybe you just liked it better than the events that followed. :)
At least there´s variety, unlike dc with superman or batman always saving the day
Well that saved me a lot of reading, I love the ‘blah blah died but then they didn’t 😂😂 I bloody love comics
Hold up, Kraven's last hunt is considered an event and not just a storyline? What?
Axis sounds interesting. I want to read it now.
That's it! Please do the same for DC! This was hilarious 🤣😂
This was fantastic!
Everybody dies, but then they don't...
You missed a bunch... Acts of Vengeance? Bloodties?...
You are 39 seconds over, stop lying with the clickbait.
Technically that’s the intro and outro pieces and not the event discussion, but fair point. ;)
Thank you saved a lot of time for me hilarious
This one made me laugh and buy the Korvac Saga on tpb. Thanks Perch!
Was there really nothing between AoA and House of M? What a chunk of dead air.
Wow...well done ☑️
This is brilliant 🙂🙂
Acts of Vengeance, villains stars a swingers club?
Perfect.
I would not include Kree-Skrull War and the other reprint books of the early 80s, as they were 70s comics in reality.
But Contest of Champions should be on the list for sure.

Love your videos!
age of x-man was such a mess
I love how you barely mention a couple of them. I can taste the salt from you saying Iron Man 2020.
DC next?
You forgot Acts of Vengeance!
Good fun.
Loved secret wars 1, read all the pre 2000 ones most where ok, the one bas et on the island of doctor Moro one was good Then for tired of going to funerrals for nothing.
5 out of 5 stars
I’m a big cosmic Marvel fan but there was no love for them here.
Funny bit though.
Which is weird because I love those events. But for a quick summary they are tough to do.
@@ComicsPerch I suppose Annihilation could be, “Something, something, something... and the new Guardians of the Galaxy are formed.”
Beyonder: White Michel Jackson doing shit 😆
I laughed at some but man events just are dumb. Did I miss Onslaught & Acts of Vengeance?
Fun...Please try DC!
do a dc one
C'mon Perch! How could you do that to Age of X-Man? You didn't describe it whatsoever, lol. I really loved that event, too bad Jonathan Hickman acted like it never happened and that's another reason why I don't like his X-Men.

Age of xman, ah ding!
This made me chuckle!
god age of ultron was garbage and made no sense whatsoever reading it in context either.

Monsters Unleashed... no
Big skip from Age of Apocalypse to House of M lol
Hahahaha....🙂👍
Lmao!
Lol 😆
Your definition of event is incorrect so most of this list is bad
It came from Wikipedia. You should take it up with them. :)
@@ComicsPerch I guess it was written by non-comic folks.
