  • acoustic cover of Elliott Smith Go By from the New Moon recordings. Played on 1971 Yamaha FG-180 and Bill Lawrence A300 sound hole pickup. Added reverb and volume from 1964 Fender Vibrolux Reverb. There are a few guitar parts on this song, I tried to merge 2 of them. The lower register is the main chord structure and the higher bits are typical great ES double stops. This song is deceptively high to sing for me. But, I had already spent the time to learn it, so here it is. More Elliott to come soon.

This is a really old video by now, but thanks so much for sharing this. There's not one proper tab available anywhere! You do a great job playing both parts, sounds very faithful to the original.

Amazing. As an average guitarist this is pretty inspirational. Go By and Going Nowhere definitely I'm my top 10 Elliott ranking.

Anyway you could make a tab? Though the chords seem pretty straightforward, it’s hard to make out exactly what he’s playing

Do you think you could throw out what tunings these are in? It would be so helpful for people who are going about similar projects of learning basically as much Elliott Smith as they can. I know you're not in the tutorial business here but just watching there is a lot to learn as long you're starting from the right place. Thanks man. Great playing as always. and loving the cool old wallpaper and guitars lol.

You make good covers, but have yet to cover his three hardest songs to play. Tomorrow Tomorrow, Southern Belle, and I Don't Think I'm Ever Gonna Figure It Out.
