Having used Makita tools for 15 years, I can honestly say I've never had a problem with them.

Makita need to finally do a 18V and 40V brushless orbital sander.
As for the TD002GZ, does it have same feature as DTD172, where you lock the forward/reverse button in the middle and press the trigger it will keep the light up for how long you like?

      Yes it does

Absolutely! I had to buy a DeWalt brushless orbital sander and I use an Amazon battery adapter to use my Makita batteries with it. The DeWalt is perfect! My Makita leaves much to be desired. The DeWalt is Brushless for longer run time, much more power (the Makita is anemic at best - low is useless, medium is low and high is barely medium speed), unlike the Makita the pad on the DeWalt actually spins regularly, much larger dust collection port, true variable speed that actually goes high enough. My only complaint using the battery adapter on the DeWalt is it is about 1.5 inches thick so it throws off the balance a bit but still worth it to me. When I'm sanding, I'm sanding 6-8 hours a day. I'm a Makita guy almost all the way but sanders and miter saws I'll take DeWalt over anyone else. I wish Makita would do a re-release of that sander and actually get it right.

I’ll probably buy that 3” cutoff tool.
    What I’d like to see;
    - 1/2 inch collet router, xgt or 2 xgt whatever is fine with me or lxt.
    - table saw would have been nice but didn’t want to wait anymore so bought the festool
    - belt sander
    - a pin nailer that actually sets the pins
    - hvlp sprayer
I know I’ve thought of more but can’t remember right now
I do love makita though, last count I was at 23 lxt batteries and 3 xgt 😊

@7:59 sorry friend but the PDC is NOT a solid-state battery. lithium ion is considered a liquid battery, Solid-State battery are newer, better technology.

Back in the daaaay. When I was a young felloooow I used Mikita. Plug in and play. Didn’t have to wait for a charge. Now I use AEG and have plenty of batteries. 6 year warranty on the skins 3 on the battery. Taken heaps back and they dropped some products. They just replace. So there must be a big markup.
I would go to Bosch 6 year on the skin and 6 on the battery that’s warranty.
Mikita just one year on the battery
    Cheers have a great day

I have an LXT 458 drill that is still going strong on the original batteries after 7 years. The clasps and plastic quality on the box are rubbish though, even looking after it carefully. I have seen some of the later kit and was not impressed.

Nice video, but you’re doing yourself, Makita and your customers a huge disservice. You need to learn the difference between ‘O’ which is a letter, and ‘0’= ZERO which is a number. You said “O” for EVERY PRODUCT NUMBER, and it should have been ZERO. The editor should have picked up on this before tithe video was published

There are far more LXT Batteries in customers hands.
But to use them you need a $700 backpack.
You’ll be better off to just get a dedicated inverter and battery with LiFpo batteries

It pains me to say this… but Makita has done nothing but disappoint me…. I’m tired of defending them- Quality of life doesn’t matter to them.. Hell even Ryobi has a more complete and AVAILABLE platform now…and the “macpack” - late to the party- is trash- those snaps are a nightmare. Flex smoked them - not that red didn’t already as well. All this from a Makita user for 30 years. Won’t be for much longer tho. Take care out there guys…🙏🙏
