You are, in my opinion, the best influencer on this planet: unique taste, non-generic taste, emotional taste. And I applaud my own taste when you show your favourites 😅❤
i'm so happy that i discovered your channel. i always thought that only the perfume guy can get you a broad overview of niche parfumes here on youtube, but you're doing as well! a collaboration between you and sebastian is a MUST now! great stuff, keep pushin!
Truly love this look on you and again the thought and effort you put into your reviews is incredible. Even with a no frills studio I could listen to you all day and your passion for nice smells shines. It’s one thing to have a huge collection but so much more to understand them all. You take the time to relate to your audience and we adore you for it.
Because you mentioned Cabochard Gres in one of your videos, I bought it this summer and wore it several times a week, until it got cold enough for Replica By the Fireplace. I am looking forward to an aromatherapy video!
After watching this when you first uploaded, I had this on my test list. I have just received a 10ml bottle of Guerlain Rose Barbare from eBay. I wasn’t sure if I would like it because the reviews are polarising but Sam, the longer it’s on my skin, the more beautiful it becomes. The cute mini Guerlain bottle is a dabber not a spray, so I’m not sure if I’m even getting the same effect. But I’m fighting with myself not to order a full bottle. Once again, thank you for putting me on to yet another scent. I really think we may have similar tastes 😂😂😂❤❤
I cut down my collection, because it's impossible to use all fragrances I have. Lately, i buy only decants and after I am 100%sure. I use whatever I have in my stash.
I once estimated, that in order to use up one 100ml bottle of perfume I would need to wear it everyday for about a year. Sooo what do I do with 50 full bottles 😮 Someone would have to perfume my grave
I wore in the early colder months a layering of Commodity Gin and Xerjoff Italica, Spring i wore Neroli Woods by Banana Republic a lot, Summer I wore Un Jardin Sur Le Nile by Hermes a lot and Tory Burch Knock on Wood, and Nishane Ambra Calabria. and MFK Aqua Vitae. Fall I wore Oud Wood and Lost Cherry Layered a lot.
Agree with you about both not caring and then actually caring about packaging. I think it what has made me stay away from Frederic Malle for so long. Only have a mini of Musc Ravageur and a travel size of Carnal Flower. My most worn is Chypre Palatin from MDCI and Musc Ravageur, but most of the time I am just running for the next fragrance to discover.
Truly appreciated you sharing with us & learning which of your unique fragrances you reached for the most. I began my collection only recently & have quickly evolved from wanting popular designer fragrances to wanting more unique fragrances with character - leaning a little more green/sweet/feminine; for ex, Fresh’s Cannabis Santal, Zernell Gillie’s HipHop, etc. That Galop bottle calls to me, but I found my leather ‘tack’ fragrance in Parfum d'Empire’s Cuir Ottoman - totally taking me back in time to my youth, sweet hay in the barn, cleaning my leather tack, getting ready for horse shows …I find a good portion of my collection is devoted to evoking memories (like that), and love the gift perfumery/olfaction has in doing this for us. Thanks again for sharing - I love your channel ❤
You have such an intriguing collection. Thanks for sharing your world of scent with us. 😌 Lately I've been reaching for orchid leather, Van Cleefs & Arpels and Lune Feline, Atelier Des Ors. Trying to find comfort in the -20 celsius Nordic winters😅
Another lovely video. I’ve been contemplating Encre Noire for years but have never smelled it in person. Between the price and your review I’m placing an order. 😉😘
In the warm weather my most worn perfume was Panorama by Olfactive Studio. Great green notes slap you in the face :D And now in the cold I love the classic Chanel Coromandel. And yes please to a video about aromatherapy :)
First time I heard about Orange Absolute was on your channel, I think it was Citrus video. And Since then I was thinking to try it, but it's not available on their website and I didn't feel like buying from hands. But after this video I went ahead and found it and bought! And oh boy, how happy I am I did! So natural, so bright and yet classy! I love it! Thank you, Sam, for educating me on what is out there!
I really want to try the Hermès, Malle & Lalique! My most worn this year: Flamenco (I could wear this every day!), Under My Skin, Upper Ten For Her. Spring: Lavendes Trianon (Maison Lancome) &Pure Musc (Narciso Rodriguez).Summer: Vent Ardents (En Voyage-Shelley Waddington) & Paula’s Ibiza (Loewe).
Oh I am so hap[py you mentioned Galop. I have this and need to pull it out again. Like you I have a lot of perfumes and I sometimes forget what I have; terrible. I have to also mention how lovely your hand dances are with the bottles. You have beautiful hands and so graceful. Julia
There’s plenty of real flowers that trigger headaches, lily is the never fail headache culprit for me. Love this list, so many unusual ones ❤ I love your shirt and your makeup btw!
I love to sample new fragrances so I also don’t wear much of my collection Im sorry to say!! Also this was the year of the baby do not much in general but Bois des Isles got “a lot” (8 times? Lol) of attention. I do wear lavender based perfumes to bed: Eau Noir, Rimbaud. Babycat too is up there: maybe also 8 times. I want a full bottle of that but so expensive to try to get in the US! Love your lewk as always- rocking that “contrast” You described!
I enjoyed this video. But....your skin, your hands, just beautiful. Love how you handle the fragrance bottles. I'd like to see a video of your current fragrance collection.
I wear Guerlain L'Initial most days, I almost feel lacking without it. Also now that it's cold, I wear a bit of vintage Opium on the weekends. Would love to see an aromatherapy vid!
I love Paris-Edimbourg! That menthol is warming, not cooling. Which makes it feel even more medicinal but sensual at the same time. I must try Viride. Also don’t hesitate to mention limited editions. They pop up on resale sites here and there so it’s still good to know about them :)
Hi Sam. Hope you’re well. Orange, lavender and sandalwood scents are known to reduce anxiety. Can you do a cheapie, designer, niche video regarding each of the scent profiles? Thanks 🙏🏽
I adore lily and they are SO hard to find! I hoard my bottle of Donna Karan Gold just for that reason. I'm so excited to hear of another realistic lily scent...thank you! 💜
Suddenly I want Orange Absolute like...NOW. NOW NOW NOW. 🤣 Sounds like it'd be awesome to layer with too. And certainly more orangy than Orange Bitters. 'Tis the season!
I bought a discovery kit from BEAUTY Pie and I absolutely loved Orange Absolute . Then when I tried to purchase it, they said it was discontinued, and I was so disappointed. They should have noted around the discovery kit which fragrances were already discontinued. They let me return my membership, but I’m not happy with them. If you run across an affordable alternative to orange absolute, I would absolutely love it because that was such a special fragrance. Thank you.
I have whatever prolonged virus nasty that is doing the winter rounds at the moment, so finding most perfumes irritate my nose and throat (though I still try with them!). Weirdly, Halston has been my go-to! I’ve owned it for ages but just couldn’t ‘get’ it. But since being sick, I really like it! That and Cabochard Gres.
I love your classy, no-nonsense videos. Your french accent - c'est formidable! I really appreciate that you make an effort to pronounce non-english words accurately. One piece of constructive feedback for you - the french word "lis" or "lys" is pronounced "lee" (the s is silent) and the word galop is pronounced "GA-low" (the p is silent). 💖
I love galop its on my Wishlist. I have about 40 perfumes and trying not to let my collection get any bigger. My most worn perfume this year was Shalimar millesime vanilla (which I mostly wore to bed) follow by Amouage guidance.
Gosh I love your videos!!! On the subject of photorealistic florals, can you recommend a good jasmine? I want it to smell like I’m shoving my face in a bunch of it on a hot spring day.
What ade yo change your mind about tuberose? I can't stand a heady tuberose... low key gives me a headache. But I would love to know what made you change your perspective to now be one of your most worn this year. Maybe you don't know and that's fine.
Have 53 full bottles (30 ml or more), maybe 20 travel size and 50-60 decants. Struggling to stay at this point! I let go of fragrances that I never reach for, though. Tell myself that I don’t need to OWN every single good fragrance. This is an exploration journey. I don’t see myself as a collector.
Thank you for sharing, I feel the same way - I don't agree with hoarding at all, so if I don't reach for it, it goes to a better home. Even if many people on this platform keep bottles just to show off, I am trying not to follow that 🌹Xo Sam
Please consider getting yourself a lavalier mic. Your mic is picking up the camera buzzing and the room echo, combining with the music, its so difficult to experience your take on these gorgeous pickups.
Intrigued in the house of Puredistance. Do you think it's worth getting a discovery set or is White their biggest standout? (who am I kidding? I love discovery sets lol) 🤍
You are, in my opinion, the best influencer on this planet:

And I applaud my own taste when you show your favourites 😅❤
I love that you talk about different fragrances! 🙌
i'm so happy that i discovered your channel. i always thought that only the perfume guy can get you a broad overview of niche parfumes here on youtube, but you're doing as well! a collaboration between you and sebastian is a MUST now! great stuff, keep pushin!
Thank you, I really appreciate that! I hope to meet Sebastian sometime as I admire his hard work 🙌🌹Xo Sam
I think a video on the most Underrated fragrances would be great.
PUREDISTANCE WHITE is one of my MOST complimented Perfume ever ❤ I only have a decant, but these 5 ml last since 3 years 😮😂😊
Really? I love it so much and treasure my travel size because it’s so expensive. It it seems so close to the skin to me
I will be waiting for your video on aromatherapy!
Truly love this look on you and again the thought and effort you put into your reviews is incredible. Awww thank you so much for this sweet comment. Need to wipe my eyes 🌹Xo Sam
Love your channel. I tend to love fragrance enthusiast like you who talks about your collection rather than just talking about new stuffs. ❤❤
I agree fragrance is my way of centering myself

Very excited to know what have you been wearing lately.
I cut down my collection, because it's impossible to use all fragrances I have. Lately, i buy only decants and after I am 100%sure. I use whatever I have in my stash.
That's a great method. Fragrances are meant to be worn, not stared at 🌹Xo Sam

I have a decant of Rose Barbare and I’m really enjoying it! This may be my first full bottle purchase of 2024!
You always have such a refreshing and new take. Love that!
Thank you so much 🌹Xo Sam
You are the coolest!!! 💪🏾💪🏾
It’s 7 am here in the Netherlands and I am starting my day watching your video. good start❤

Thank you! My most worn of 2023: vintage and new Champs Élysées EDT and Pure poison from Dior.
The Lys seems to bloom as you wear it, i really like it.

My most worn fragrance this year is BDK Gris Charnel Extrait.
Yes on the aromatherapy vid!!! Love your original pics. Galop sounds wild, made me think of Equus, the play.
Ooo nice, in which case you should try Corpus Equus by Naomi Goodsir - it's 'niche Galop', if you will :) 🌹Xo Sam
There’s plenty of real flowers that trigger headaches, lily is the never fail headache culprit for me. Love this list, so many unusual ones ❤ I love your shirt and your makeup btw!
Yes, true, but I meant more the bad synths that got to me :) Thank you so much 🌹Xo Sam
I was saving this video for my favorite moment of all week : taking self out for brunch in my fave little German food Cafe. So excited 🎉😂❤
Omg, Maria! 😍 you made my day 🌹Xo Sam

What is your most favourite parfüme for winter to wear Daily?
Been wearing Molinard Cuir alone or layered with subtle floral fragrances e.g. TF Cafe Rose
Galop is brilliant. Very close to Cuir dAnge to me.
Every other perfume reviewer on Encre Noir: Gothic melancholy damp dark death.
You: Upbeat!
I love galop its on my Wishlist. I have about 40 perfumes and trying not to let my collection get any bigger. My most worn perfume this year was Shalimar millesime vanilla (which I mostly wore to bed) follow by Amouage guidance.
Oh I remeber rose barbare- one of the most balanced Patchouli rose scents
I just love it so muuuuch... the price, not so much 🌹Xo Sam
My most worn fragrances this year were Flamenco by Ramon Monegal and Accento Overdose by Xerjoff!
Gosh I love your videos!!! On the subject of photorealistic florals, can you recommend a good jasmine? I want it to smell like I’m shoving my face in a bunch of it on a hot spring day.

I love PARIS-EDIMBOURGH by Chanel, but it doesn't last at all on my skin 😢
Hello Sam. You are so beautiful woman, I am just staring you whatever you are saying. Great fragrances, thank you 😊
Hey Sam, don't know if you're subscribed to Jonathan1970, but he just posted an in depth leather fragrances video you might appreciate.
Love these ❤️🔥
Lilies can be a screamer. Too bad I can't plant them in my house because I have two cats. Two stems of Cassablanca Lily can fill a room 😅
Yes! A real floral :) Hence why they work so well in churches 🌹Xo Sam
who says you can only wear one scent per day?o.0 just kidding I get your dilemma;) thx for the video!
True! And I don't always stick to that :) 🌹Xo Sam
