its just faster to unlock the 7 with the home button why would you put your Thum on the home button(to unlock it) and then swipe

they’ve had it to where the fingerprint automatically opens the phone since iOS 7, i was more so talking about how devices without touch id or devices without it set up were getting worn out by having the home button constantly pressed
