If you have a baby, have you ever dropped anything on their face in the middle of the night? If so, what and how? Please tell us we're not just the clumsiest people on the planet!
Sometimes these things happen. I have 3 younger sisters, youngest is 1 years old and 2 brothers. I am the oldest. When I was younger I used to drop things on them but now I don't drop anything on them. What I am trying to say is that you learn with experience and you gain a sense of extra awareness that you need to be extra careful. Things will become a lot easier. Also, with your next child, God willing, you will be experienced parents.
I love the calm and gentle way that you guys parent and interact with her, and you can tell it benefits her as she already has a pretty peaceful and relaxed disposition. She seems like such a lovely baby, so sweet and gentle.
CC i agree I like they way they parent but I think that it's more just their personalities getting passed down to chell, they are pretty chill people so it's likely she would be to. I see it all the time. Kids usually have similar personalities to their parents.
Hay is cut while the plants are still alive, green, full of nutrients. Straw is cut after the plants have died, gone dormant, dried, have no nutrients. Hay is used for food, straw is used for bedding. Hay is green, straw is, uh, straw-colored. Hay goes on the left foot, straw on the right foot (geezer joke).
Little tip for when Chell is older: Let her use dishes that can break. Very important for kids to learn these things. You might be interested in reading some "Montessori" material.
So funny about the hay bales. :) I see hundreds of those all together in fields here in Texas. Even in the town I live in though it is pretty much a city. Chell is so adorable! I can't get over it. My son is getting close to being 17 years old and watching Chell is bringing back so many memories of when my son was little. It's awesome. - Heidi
I am blissed out..three videos today...DudeLikeHELLA, KristensPOV, AND...get ready for it...MEAN KITTY...now I'm ready to go out and face the world! Thanks for all the joy today.
DudeLikeHELLA Cory, thank you! Sorry we are all complaining about missing the animals. The intro is really good otherwise...we just miss seeing the entire family! But you hit a grand slam homer in with the new outro - pure magic!
!! I can't believe you actually replied to me! I hope you're doing well and these blogs are the highlight of my day. I don't want to have children myself but your family warms my heart. You have one of the loveliest families and most genuine blogs ever. Proud to have been be a Simple Minded People for years and will be for years to go.
I had to laugh at you and the new laptop-all those automated instructions! Too bad there wasn't a choice for "Repeat menu!" LOL! Chell is getting so big and even more expressive by the day. She really does sound like an owl! My mother wants to know: Have the three of you been to the dog kennel at Denali National Park? They are the only park that raises their own sled dogs. They even have a kennel cam you can watch from your computer! When Chell gets older, it'd be cool to see her interact with the dogs. The dogs are very people-oriented and are allowed to mingle with visitors. They say the snowmobiles will freeze but not the dogs! lol! My mother was just curious if you knew about it at all. Great vlog!
I love that shot of Chell "hoo-hoo" -ing the camera from the baby seat. What could be going on in her mind? Too cute-- now remember... the cutest baby costume for Halloween is the one that comes with its own sound effects! Baby owl! Now Cor... you might want to consider painting that new slaptop a bright florescent color... something attention-getting?
I had the craziest dream last night, that Cory and Kristen were horses and got kicked out of the ranch because they kept escaping. Then they turned back into humans and had to go try to survive in the freezing cold woods with Chell.
Dude, I loved your interpretation of Loki's involvement: "I think I might do something; I don't know." I have a feline friend across the street who is EXTREMELY dominant. He's pretty average-sized, and he's really friendly to people, but his claws NEVER get trimmed. It can get dangerous playing with him, because he will swat at twigs and leaves you may be holding, and those claws hurt. I have also seen him chase full-size dogs away from his house. Now, anytime I see someone with a dog walk by his house, I think to the dog "You better not mess with him, cause he will f*** you UP."
I have 4 cats, and I can give you some advice that may - or may not - work for you when the pets get annoyed with one another; have some treats in a bag that they all enjoy, if they are mad with each other, as soon as you crumble the treat bag, they will all calm down immediately and come for treats. It works for me since 2000 - animals mad - they hear treat bag - everyone drops the attitude and become cute again haha.
Anne Casillas LOL Yep, there's a million opportunities to injur your kid as they grow. But as they grow they get to pay you back. The number of times kids have hurt me.... Lol
The glow in the dark binkies are awesome and super easy to find in the middle of the night. Saves you a lot of fumbling around. The ones I use are the Nuk brand but you may be able to other kinds.
Cory, I'm so glad to hear your comments about not throwing something in the lake that you can not retrieve. That is a good example for others to follow. The cats chasing the red dot and Loki looking at the camera was so cute. Oh, and you called Loki Penny when you said he was not ready to talk to you yet. Or I think you did. So you did get a new laptop. I was so hoping you would find the lost one. So sorry. But the new one looks very nice. I was wanting a laptop, but now I'm hoping android tablets will have a OS that is comparable to operating systems desktops use. I enjoy using my tablet far more than my PC-no defragging needed, no PC type error message popping up, among other things. I'm also hoping the Office software i use(Corel WordPerfect) will make products for tablet use.
Also, on the laptops, I do all my editing on that little one and it works great. Sometimes it heats up a lot, but its from 2012, and still powers through everything I ask it to do. :)
Silkendrum I wondered. It looked lighter (like straw), but around here it's hard to get good quality hay, so it can be pretty light like the round bale (of straw) in the vlog. In the end I wasn't sure. Thanks for pointing that out.
I had a mid 2012 MacBook Pro 15" for forever and it died this past spring. It was pretty sad. I got the same laptop (technically the mid 2015 model) in May. The difference in speed was night and day. I maxed out the ram and SSD and boy is it beautiful
I loved the video. The title did not scare me. I already guessed it was the binky or food. Both are common things to drop on a baby! It is a good thing Kristen nurses. The worst thing to drop on baby's face is a full bottle of milk! Great video.
at 10:45 you made a Dutch word pun without knowing :D 'board' is pronounced almost exactly the same way as the dutch word 'bord' which means 'plate' so when you were talking about the plates and then said 'just don't go over board' it really made me laugh :P
That was a long john donut not an eclair. An eclair is made of the same dough as a cream puff, pastry like, filed with whipped cream type filling. Long john donuts are usually filled with a white or custard cream, more cakey.
Your absolutely wonderful parents, sometimes we make mistakes don't be hard on yourselves, your angel is the luckiest baby to have such special unique loving parents,
I dropped the nearly-full baby shampoo bottle on my first son's head when he was 3? 4? months old... It kinda grazed the side of his cheek but I freaked out, called 911... The dispatcher reassured me that with no redness, swelling, or blood, and the fact that he was still active/moving, he'd be ok. I still lost it... sobbing on the phone to this random 911 woman that I must be the worst mother ever. Post-partum hormones are no joke lol!
when my daughter was a baby and I had to move her from her crib or the bed, I would usually have the binky, blanky or something else of hers in my mouth to carry or under my chin. every so often I would get a spasm and it would drop, usually missing her face, but once in a while it would get her on the nose or mouth and startle the heck out of her. I felt so bad every time it happened. made me want to cry the few times it startled her enough to make her cry. but since she was Daddy's girl, I calmed her down pretty quick and everything was ok and back to normal.
haleighallen lol they may be as the majority of people know them as chocolate bars, it's exactly like a maple bar but chocolate instead so they would be called their respective flavor bar
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but when Chelle gets fussy after you feed her... pay attention to what you were eating... That may play a part in her fussiness. Your a great mom and we have all had accidents with babies.
When I was changing my son one day I dropped a huge plastic bottle of baby powder on his head...he just blinked at me and laughed. It even left a small red mark! He's 46 now so I guess there was no lasting damage! LOL Couldn't tell if you were in Wally World for those donuts, but where I live they have the best for the least cost and we have Dunkin Donuts here, but they try to pretend they are fresh made in the store. They actually truck them in from the main bakery in Tampa, so by the time you buy them they are already at least 7 hours old and by evening they are stale.
Cory thought that Kristen's story about dropping the binkie on Chell's face was an invitation for him to start sharing his own mishaps with her :-D Don't worry guys, she will hit her head and everything else billion times in the future, this is nothing..that's for a comfort :-D
There are all kinds of hay grown all over the state. It is to feed horses, cattle, all kinds of life stock. The round that you saw is put out in pasture, so the animals can free feed.
I think the Long Johns are called Eclairs 😁 And as an Apple user, I have to agree Cory, once you get used to Apple you can't switch back to Windows. 🙈🙈
In 1942 when I was born we lived in an apartment house on top of a hill. At six months of age my mom dropped me down the 52 wooden stairs on the hillside. My aunt caught me at the bottom. I had a head full of slivers. When did you change Loki's name?
I'm not sure if someone has mentioned this before but I've heard that it's easier to cut a baby's fingernails by biting them off. That way you can control how much you're cutting more easily and take off small portions at a time without getting her finger as it's wiggling! Just a thought to make it easier for you guys :)
Great video! Glad you got a nice laptop. Cutting babies nails is hard, don't remember if we did it but using your own teeth was highly recommended back in the day. That way you feel how far down you need to go without going to far. Love you guys!
I found Charles and Mindy's channel (Life Goes North), in the last year, and was wondering if they had met you / you met them, and this (2:40 to 2:44) totally answers my question that you did.
Check the plastic plates to make sure they are microwave safe. Some of them are not safe because of chemicals. :) And... I don't really care about the titles... I watch because of you guys, not the title! Actually, I think i don't pay attention to them at all ... wink.
Ah, that new Mac smell. I used to unbox brand new Macs at a previous job and it never gets old. Was it one of those birds that wouldn't let Penny go potty?
I don't remember dropping anything on them but when my oldest grandson was Chell's age I was trimming his nails and ended up trimming a piece of his little thumb off with it THAT Broke this Nana's Heart!
cory great vlog, I Love these longer version of your vlog. yes I have dropped a wet diaper on my son forehead ,he wasn't very happy .take care hugs and kisses to Chell and Kristen
They make mittens so they don't scratch their face. We just used baby socks for my little sister. She's actually turning 3 on the 26th, why did time go by this fast Dx
When my son was first born I used a zoli electric nail file I got off of amazon. It worked really good and I still use it if his nails aren't long enough to clip. It's quiet too. My son is now 7 months old and I can now clip his nails as long as he has a quick distraction like looking at a toy or the tv for a minute. And Kristen don't feel bad about dropping things on chell. I've almost dropped my phone and have dropped food on his head. (Cold food of course)
This (hopefully) is pretty needless to say, but you have a shelf right next to the car! Don't set things anywhere on your car. Either put them in it, or on the shelf behind you! And Kristen, you said you were going to make the garage a project, keep in mind that shelves near cars are useful for a lot of things!
I know that feel of getting a brand new laptop. 3 weeks ago I bought a new motherboard, gpu and cpu and build my pc all by myself. So much excitement. :D
1:08 Those are Éclairs. I think. 9:08 My dad isn't not after what happened with his I-phone. It updated and bricked his phone. He'd have to take it to an Apple store which there is none in town so he's done with them.
Zombissux I'm pissed with Apple also, the update is horrid and the new iPhone is utterly dumb. I'll be switching to android next time I buy a phone. I'd never use an Apple computer either way too difficult to figure out how to use. Nothing is in the places that'd make the most sense for them to be it's so back asswards
If you have a baby, have you ever dropped anything on their face in the middle of the night? If so, what and how? Please tell us we're not just the clumsiest people on the planet!
I carried my little sister when I was a toddler by her head!
Noooo! I hope it wasn't a hard drop. That's so scary!
Sometimes these things happen. I have 3 younger sisters, youngest is 1 years old and 2 brothers. I am the oldest. Well Im not sure If I dropped her but I was short anyway if I did drop her!😄
haha...it's all part of raising the kids. memories to cherish. it happens with everyone n many times😉don't worry..lol
People use hay to insulate dog houses in the winter! I had a friend who had a dog sled team and he did that :)
Oooooh! That makes so much sense!
Not hay! Straw! Hay will rot and cause all kinds of skin problems. What was in the back of that truck was straw, not hay.
Silkendrum Okay, now I need to look up the difference between straw and hay...I thought they were the same thing! Yes, I am a city girl.
Silkendrum Thank you! That helps.

I think you guys are doing an awesome job. I really love to see a father who is so into his baby girl the way you love Chell!
I miss seeing Sparta, Loki, and Penny on the intro. They're fur babies!
We'll add them back in once we get some better videos to feature.
DudeLikeHELLA Cory, thank you! Sorry we are all complaining about missing the animals. The intro is really good otherwise...we just miss seeing the entire family! But you hit a grand slam homer in with the new outro - pure magic!

Her room is full of owls, and now she sits in her car seat and whispers "who, who". Love it!
It looks so funny seeing Kristen trolling Corey! lol
7:23 Chell getting in some practice with vlogging, she's already a pro at it!
Oh my god... the building in the background at 7:32 looks SO grumpy... :'D
I love seeing more of the kitties in the vlogs!
Alaska, man, I swear... It's so gorgeous I wanna cry. Is that weird? I mean like 1:56 what is that?!?! You're just a lake, lake, why so beautiful???
I absolutely adore yall. Such a beautiful family.
Chell and Cory have the same hairstyle it is so cute
I had the craziest dream last night, that Cory and Kristen were horses and got kicked out of the ranch because they kept escaping. Then they turned back into humans and had to go try to survive in the freezing cold woods with Chell.

Poor lil Pucky. I loved the way you described the fight. lol
You have excellent taste in donuts Kristin! Love chocolate long-johns too 🙂
Chell is beautiful and love the sounds she makes! 😍
Love the Blues Bros. picture in the garage!!
Haha you two are amazing! Make my day so much better
I have 4 cats, and I can give you some advice that may - or may not - work for you when the pets get annoyed with one another; have some treats in a bag that they all enjoy, if they are mad with each other, as soon as you crumble the treat bag, they will all calm down immediately and come for treats. I love maple frosted donuts!!
Cory, Kristen... I'm sorry to break this to you... but your daughter might be an owl.
hoo hoo hoo
Remember laptop not cartop.
I love how Cory agrees on lots if comments! Anyone else?
Conversations between bros... oh the double entendre!
1:43 hell 2:47-2:50 4:06 4:45-4:56
Kids are a lot tougher than we think, believe me, you will probably experience way worse than this and she will be just fine! XOXOXOXOX
Anne Casillas LOL Yep, there's a million opportunities to injur your kid as they grow. But as they grow they get to pay you back. The number of times kids have hurt me.... Lol
16:03 laughed coffee out my nose!
The glow in the dark binkies are awesome and super easy to find in the middle of the night. Saves you a lot of fumbling around. The ones I use are the Nuk brand but you may be able to other kinds.
If you're too scared to use clippers on her nails, use a nail file. Baby nails are very thin and file very easily.
9:35 For VR have you looked into the HTC Vive? I am looking into getting one once we get settled and the portal game looks really fun. :)
Cory, you gotta show me how to do the rock skipping thing on ice, I've tried it before and I cant make it work!
Also, on the laptops, I do all my editing on that little one and it works great. Sometimes it heats up a lot, but its from 2012, and still powers through everything I ask it to do. :)
Yes.. the feel of a brand new laptop~
I just bought mine a month ago.. Still loving it~ :D
It's a round bale (hay). Farmers put them in the pasture and the cows eat it over time. That's how it works where I live, anyway, lol.
That wasn't hay, though. That was straw.
Kristen, we in New England call them eclairs, yummy ☺
Marcia Burwell In Southwestern Ohio we call them eclairs too.
That was a long john donut not an eclair. An eclair is made of the same dough as a cream puff, pastry like, filed with whipped cream type filling. Long john donuts are usually filled with a white or custard cream, more cakey.
I LOVED THAT VIDEO
I'm glad you liked it!
I am happy you got new laptop !!! congratulations! :)
I love u guys❤️❤️❤️
You need a Tim Hortons in Alaska. They have the best coffee AND donuts
I'll take one in NC, too!
I was just in Canada and forgot to check one out until it was too late and I was on the way back to the U.S. Oh well, maybe next time I'll remember.
Kristen looks so pretty today :)
I LOVE LONG JOHN"S! There so good! I also love Jelly filled or lemon filled. The Lemon are rare for some reason.
Kristen's favorite is an eclair made with doughnut batter instead of pastry.
I can recommend filing her nails instead. They won´t get as sharp as if you clip them. And she won´t get hurt during the process. She´s so cute!
Chell: Oh yea my dad dabbed santa's head off.... No biggie. lol
I think chell just wants to be an owl hoo hoo hoo hoo
It's funny how we have her whole room owl themed too.
I have those dishes... they're awesome!!!
OPDOR!! OPDOR!!! love it
lol
OMG I CALL THEM LONG JOHNS TOO! and here I thought my family was just weird😂😂
haleighallen lol they may be as the majority of people know them as chocolate bars, it's exactly like a maple bar but chocolate instead so they would be called their respective flavor bar
Long Johns is what we call those donuts here too, Kristen. :)
LOL

7:25 I think Chell sees Cory in the mirror and her name for Daddy is "ooo ooo ooo ooo ooo" . :D
Sorry, but I have to mention that awesome Blues Brothers poster in your garage. It's awesome.
Cory thought that Kristen's story about dropping the binkie on Chell's face was an invitation for him to start sharing his own mishaps with her :-D Don't worry guys, she will hit her head and everything else billion times in the future, this is nothing..that's for a comfort :-D
Do you guys ever consider opening a patreon? I'm sure you'd get plenty of patrons.
There are all kinds of hay grown all over the state. It is to feed horses, cattle, all kinds of life stock. The round that you saw is put out in pasture, so the animals can free feed.

In 1942 when I was born we lived in an apartment house on top of a hill. At six months of age my mom dropped me down the 52 wooden stairs on the hillside. My aunt caught me at the bottom. I had a head full of slivers. When did you change Loki's name?
Loki always had Poki as a nickname due to a proclivity for poking things
Loki has multiple nick names. Poki, Pucky, Ducky, Duck Duck etc.
krispl they never called it any duck type names
Chocolate Eclair I think.
on the camera thing, could you screw into the ice 4 screws, attach string to them, attach the string to the camera?
Oh yeah! Smart!
I'm not sure if someone has mentioned this before but I've heard that it's easier to cut a baby's fingernails by biting them off. That way you can control how much you're cutting more easily and take off small portions at a time without getting her finger as it's wiggling! Just a thought to make it easier for you guys :)
just curious. did you find a trace of the laptop?
did you even look for it?
I'd totally share it if I found bit but no, we never found it. We did look after we lost it though.
Great video! Glad you got a nice laptop. Cutting babies nails is hard, don't remember if we did it but using your own teeth was highly recommended back in the day. That way you feel how far down you need to go without going to far. Love you guys!
So hope your laptop will not be on the roof again.I love the dishes.Your little one is so precious.Life is good.Love Mgt from Florida.☺💕🎃💀👍
I found Charles and Mindy's channel (Life Goes North), in the last year, and was wondering if they had met you / you met them, and this (2:40 to 2:44) totally answers my question that you did.
Cory you are my husband's spirit animal 😄
Love you guys!
Check the plastic plates to make sure they are microwave safe. Some of them are not safe because of chemicals. :)
And... I don't really care about the titles... I watch because of you guys, not the title! Actually, I think i don't pay attention to them at all ... wink.
Thanks for the advice on that! I never thought to look at the microwave safe thing.
i would not use plasticplates of any anymore. practical but chemicals make just extra stress for our systems.
Charlotte Barnes same
Flippin birds!!! Lol
cory that hordor joke lol. to soon to soon! XD
LOL
Ah, that new Mac smell. I used to unbox brand new Macs at a previous job and it never gets old.
Was it one of those birds that wouldn't let Penny go potty?
I find the way Cory carries the car seat hilarious. Every time it's never how the majority of people carry car seats. So odd
I don't remember dropping anything on them but when my oldest grandson was Chell's age I was trimming his nails and ended up trimming a piece of his little thumb off with it THAT Broke this Nana's Heart!
It's okay, Kristen! I've dropped my phone on my daughter's face while nursing a few times. And food, too. lol
Oh no! It happens I suppose.

cory
great vlog, I Love these longer version of your vlog. yes I have dropped a wet diaper on my son forehead ,he wasn't very happy .take care hugs and kisses to Chell and Kristen
she's getting cuter every day! you can just bite her nails off for now. she's little enough 😊
I'd build a rock skipping machine that spits a rock out every second.
My favorite doughnut is an old fashion buttermilk.
she is soooo cute!!! Title scared me!!!!! hahahaha XD
Sorry about that. She's totally ok!
lol love the videos!
Come out to Palmer, we have plenty of hay!
Heather Sudduth I tried one of those horrible computers said to be easier to use. Anything but easy. Even Linux would be easier to figure out.
Chell's going to be a Logger. So talkative when the Cameras on. And she looks right at the camera. Its like she knows...
Did u find ur laptop?
6:29 (my reaction) Hehe, Cory sounds like Hodor..... oh, he was purposly sounding like Hodor. Cory! Too soon!
