i agree, you can achieve a lot just learning from the internet, but martin garrix went to a production music school called Herman Brood Academy, and had a connection who knew tiesto. its entirely possible to make it with mostly your own efforts, but i don't believe that is the case with martin garrix. who you know plays a huge role in a persons success. also, dj mag top 100 has nothing to do with who makes the best music (which is quite subjective) , but rather, who is the most lit, popular and well marketed artist. maurice west is really good, but i dont think what he is saying here is accurate.
