So so kind of you Adrien to share your experiences and information relative to Bali, barely none of which I would have guessed! Still coming to Bali but now well versed thanks to your kindness! Gd bless.
Having lived there for a few years can so relate to everything you point out plus about to return so a great reminder of all the points to remember. Thank you x
Great advice. Nothing worse then relaxing in your home and your next door neighbour changes to a different group of stag parties every 4 days. Airbnb, the scurge of the longterm resident all over the world. Buyer beware.
Your videos are on point and strait to the point. There’s no better person providing perspective on Bali than you. I’m tired of watching fluffy videos with a lack quantifiable information. You’re style is also on point. ❤
I'm very lucky, moving to bali for good now 5 month after keep moving monthly rental . Now we settled in brand new Villa,. Not really have neighbor super quiet ,Love to Iive here no Mosqeu , not really have rooster near with all the beautiful beaches in Uluwatu .
Guess what Adrien I have all those issues right here in "rural Australia" mainly lack of privacy(Peyton Place)and constant basic maintenance issues from day one.Every time you move it costs more and it's an emotional upheaval as well.I thought remote would be peace and quiet Try commercial Ag machinery doubleB's logging trucks ride on mowers snakes magpie swoops extreme hot/cold temps(national parks) farmer utes at break neck speed am pm
Great insight! I would also include to negotiate sub-letting. Having the ability to rent out the place when you're away for an extended period. The same applies if you rent out any rooms. This doesn't come as a standard clause.
Thank you for such great tips! I took notes while watching your video lol. One question: I really don't like bugs in my house, but I've heard there are a lot of them in Bali. Do you have any tips on how to find a place that is clean and bug free (or almost bug free)?
Phew, I'm retired and planning to move to bali from Australia. Now I'm paranoid. I like seclusion and quiet. Thanks for sharing. I'll now do deep research.
Come to Bali and live in different places and see what suits you. Note the new rules for the retirement visa valid from October 24th, 2023. Important: Bali has changed a lot in the last 4-5 years. It's not as cheap as it used to be. Hello from beautiful Bali 🏝
I hope you can laugh. I adore roosters. Even when I lived in Yogyakarta the roosters greeted the new day. They are so cocky, pardon the pun. They make me smile. Recently I was in an se asian country for several months and never heard a rooster or for that matter any bird. It made me sad as a nature lover... Asia is generally noisy like motor bikes.can't wait to get back to Bali. I fell in love with it almost 40 years ago...still in my heart❤.
As far as I am aware, there is only one development of proper “apartments” in Bali and the rest are guest houses which aren’t great for long-term living.
LMAO..😂 singing loud off key, violating quiet time. You should do stand up. Your calmness while explaining ..funny. But I can relate I live in hawaii so the rooster situation I get. But I love peace and quiet . I do dj so i can go to war with the noisy neighbors and could dj loudly. But I enjoyed the video .My advice..live in a Condo aka in a HiRise lol
@@AdrienField karaoke, roosters, dogs, also screaming children, warming up motorbikes with sports "knalpots" . Hard to find a quit place in Bali. My Amsterdam appartment on the canals is less noisy (double glass windows helps:)
HI Adrien, Thanks so much for your videos. I always find them entertaining and informative. Can I ask you if there are consultants or agents who will find a home for you? I find in daunting dealing with all the real estate agents and they are so unreliable. I'd like someone to help me out but I can't seem to find. Thanks
Hi, Adrien! I do have a question for you (an experienced person living for such a long time in Bali). I plan to live in Indonesia for around 4-5 months and I've heard so many stories about overprice and visa agent scams. What agent do you recommend for a visa? Terima kasih banyak! 🤗 p.s. your video is very helpful
Great info again. Also if you rent a place with no air con and landlord gives permission to install you can't take when you leave. And I thought your life was a dream made in heaven.

So glad to hear that 😊
Excellent advice. Encountered all those things mentioned plus a fly invasion when a chicken farm opened down the road. It was horrific lol

Hi Bella! Do you have any tips to find a villa for rent in Uluwatu ? Like agencies or places to go :) Thanks!
@@AXTM3 hey long term? Short term?
Good tips. Also check the drainage system. Sometimes this can be very blocked up, full of roaches & smelly.
Adrian, your the best! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to give us that very informative first hand info😇😇😇🌻🌺

Pretty much impossible; you need an exterminator on a regular basis and better to avoid houses close to a river
Hey man, this was surprisingly simple and nice. Thanks for the tips.
This is very helpful. I hope to rent a villa in Bali one day in the future.
Very very very helpful! Jam packed with valuable info. Thanks
You’re welcome ☺️
Always enjoy your videos, thanks Adrien. You make me laugh always even though I'm sure you're not even intending to be funny 😉
When you said loud speaker, karaoke with ugly voice it took me out 😂😅. Experienced that in Lovina.

Good video my buddy... im here in Canggu... going to see a villa today... glad i seen this video
Very informative video. Just a question: what do you think of apartments there in Bali?
As far as I am aware, there is only one development of proper “apartments” in Bali and the rest are guest houses which aren’t great for long-term living.
Hello mate. I’m just curious how much rent do you pay for the year?
Thanks for that, Adrien.

In Bali your neighbor's behavior seems to be more important then the villa you stay in if you want a quit place.
Yes it does!

In the past I used Bali Viza in canggu.
Wow great info! Didn’t realize you have a tattoo on your hand! New?
Nope, I’ve had that for over a decade 😄
Do you always have to pay for your entire lease in full? Or can you pay monthly?
Usually the entire year up front but you can try to negotiate
That’s a Epic Mustache 🥸

That seems like it would be negotiable
This guy is legit.
how about paranomal activity .. have u experience it too?
😂 no
Thank you
Some prices on yearly leases would be amazing 😊
Totally variable
