I do that along with having a few parting shot teammates who can switch with something else on the team that has intimidate for nonstop stat drops. Wish there was a SpA version of Intimidate tho, long overdue
Had to leave about 10 min into the premier, but dude the gravity into sandsear on the latias and then skill swapping the Intim for the lando was just so sick dude. Awesome team and video!
There's so much to pokemon battles. From remembering super effectiveness to what pokemon get what abilities, what pokemon synergize with each other, reading what your opponent will do. I don't think I'll ever be extremely competitive being a casual player my whole life but watching your videos helps and I enjoy the content!
I’ve been running a skill swap Sableye Toedscruel team. Toed gets both screens so it’s like having a grimmsnarl that can priority sleep things. So busted and loving it!
Volcarona could get an (almost) automatic quiver dance (honestly my favorite for usage under 1%) Archaludon could get prankster iron defense and stamina on meowstick that would help with stored power and survivability. Anything with encore like Ogerpon-W could be good, especially versus something like ursh-rapid, as it doesnt want to close combat OR surging strikes a meowstick in that position. annihilape could use prankster for bulk up or final gambit. prankster on anything that uses tailwind and isnt a prankster/gale wings user could be good. prankster sinestcha for quick strength saps ninetails-A could get an (almost) automatic aroura veil Smeargle could break someone's Nintendo Switch Goodra H for prankster iron defense and/or acid armor orthworm would be nice for priority shed tails + could help with ground types Prankster raging bolt calm minds for special attackers would help, although on paper it seems kinda meh. Incin would go crazy on this team, switch in and get intimidate out, skill swap for second intimidate and then incin gets prankster parting shot the next turn. -2 attack on both mons, and a -1 atk and spatk added on to one of the two in 1.5 turns. (NOT SURE IF WORKS BECAUSE DARK TYPE, EVEN THOUGH ALLY) if incin doesnt work can use squakabilly for pretty much the same thing! it also gets fake tears, feather dance, and tailwind! could also skill swap mimic for immediate -2 atk on both opposing mons. tera dark or mental herb on meowstick could help with tornadus/faster prankster. my favorites of this group: Incin/squakabilly, archaludon, smeargle, goodra-H, volcarona great video!
13:50 i dont get why they faked out meowstick (and why you said u were hoping for that) since it was literally the first move of the game (fale out on Meow) and so Covert Cloak was already known
Fun content as always! Another cool interaction in game 1 was gaining regenerator on meowstic and healing to full on the switch out. When you brought it back in late game they forgot about covert cloak and tried to fake out for the 2nd time and you got gravity up
Yeah that was icing on the cake during team building, but I hadn't thought of the fact that the full HP likely made the opponent forget he already tried fake out turn one!
Prankster spore is WILD. Even if they get the turn one wake, they still essentially get "flinched" at the very least since they couldn't attack the previous turn. Prankster decorate speaks for itself. Wow. Great work as always, Burm.
Weird suggestion: Grab a Smeargle, give it, say, Fake Out, Spore, Decorate, and something else, and then use Prankstered Skill Swap on it. That way you can have a whole other pokemon to do shenanigans with. Love the content btw, keep up the awesome work!
you can skill swap prankster to a slow 'after you' user like clodsire and then you can click 'after you' eruption/water spout/hyper voice/dazzling gleam/expanding force and so on until the end of the game. so no need of trick room. but its a little hard to setup, and you obviously lose to wide guard, but it's a cool strat
When playing a dlc, I like to play with only pokemon from the dlc. I figured out prankster meowstic skill swap on my own. But I never thought of adding decorate alcremie to that. I know what I'm adding to my team. And yes, I still haven't finished the dlc. I've been busy and I like to take my time.
Yesterday in showdown I made a team with low accuracy moves but was Landorus-I the one with Gravity and Focus Blast instead Sludge bomb and paired with porygon2 with zap cannon, I also added Dynamic Punch and stone edge Urshifu, super sweet sirup Hydrapple, Inferno Chandelure. It was fun because people usually try to taunt Porygon2 just to be hitted by zap cannon after Landorus-I set Gravity.
@@PokeBurm dang! Think you could slot those two onto a team with iron crown and choice specs indeedee M? I’ve been testing something like this and fast psyspam is freakin fun
I like using skill swap minimize and iron defense lol to avoiding fake make the said Pokémon to ghost so they don't have use fake out or have protection also when gravity is used you can hit with ground moves.
Very jealous that your brother is into Pokemon. My younger brother is an awesome guy but his friends never played, and theres a 7 year age gap so we never had the same hobbies growing up
I'm boring and basic and I just want to pass Prankster to Iron Defense / Body Press mons to make sure they boost up before they get hit the first time.
Bro is cooking, just with mushrooms so I'm not really interested. Yes I know I'm not funny lol. Seriously though good playing, turns out giving some of the best support Mons in the game Prankster cleans house.
Tornadus would be the most annoying pokemon to face. Would be so great to have prankster amoongus, but priority taunt would force you to play alcreamie. But then you will see the opponent get tailwind.. Torn is truly a menace
@@Sabert0 I'm like, the best when it comes to skipping the team explanation part of vids and going straight into the battles. If I didn't do that I would have seen Meowstic holding a covert cloak lol. Ty!
decorate boosts its base power not only with sp atk boost but also with its atk boosts. ends up being some crazy base power and double sp atk in one turn. dark types make the strategy kinda meh, although its the best you could do for damage with meowstick.
Also, when skill swapping intimidate around, send it back and forth with a partner so you can have it every turn, without having to take the drops
Great point! In game 1 I would've taken life orb recoil on lando if it lost sheer force, so I wasn't even thinking it.
I do that along with having a few parting shot teammates who can switch with something else on the team that has intimidate for nonstop stat drops. Wish there was a SpA version of Intimidate tho, long overdue
Came here to say this
@@PokeBurm fair enough. That sheer force buff is very nice💪
I love when your teams have multiple synergies! The prankster skill swap is so versatile

So close to 10k subs. Honestly the most underrated channel on Pokemon UA-cam
Thank you Terry!

prankster on anything that uses tailwind and isnt a prankster/gale wings user could be good.
prankster sinestcha for quick strength saps
ninetails-A could get an (almost) automatic aroura veil
Smeargle could break someone's Nintendo Switch
Goodra H for prankster iron defense and/or acid armor
orthworm would be nice for priority shed tails + could help with ground types

personally, I would replace chi-yu with volcarona and alcremie with smeargle, maybe iron hands with raging bolt too.
This is a certified hood classic

You could use moody smeargle so you have spore and decorate on one mon and a good ability on meowstic after skill swap.

Amoonguss was not meant to have Prankster, it breaks the natural order! Thank you for the video Burm!
An evil one for sure. Thanks as always mind!
dude this prankster alcremie is one of the best strategies I've ever seen!! congrats!!
Your teams have been amazing this regulation, you really usingg all the gimmicks, loving it
Find your videos so educational. Keep it going Ewan 😝

My god that Latias refuses to sleep for more than a second
so nice to see alcreamie and meowstick shine
That Rillaboom didn’t have Grassy Glide. It was Wood Hammer, Knock Off, U Turn, and Fake Out.

My first shot at prankster skill swap was sableye and Smeargle. Maybe not the best option but it was fun for shenanigans
Wild Charge believers sounding reallllll quiet right now
Video been up for nearly an hour and hardly and likes. Button smashed, and comment left Burm. Doing my bit
Thanks friend!
the gravity into sandsear on the latias was so dope
Why did he fake out meowstick twice even though it's cloaked
The cold opens are hitting lately! 🔥
Prankster spore is just evil
Bruneaux did a Malamar skill swap with hydrapple and that seems RIGHT up your ally Burm
Yeah that was foo's team! He beat me to it.

Dude how many times did that latias go to sleep in game one?

What are the odds of having back to back one turn sleeps ?! Game one
*Four times
Very nice team!! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Why did the 2nd opponent tera steel that blastoise in front of a chi-yu???!
My guess is they thought alcremie would go before Blastoise (probably right) and wanted to resist the d gleam so they could retain HP for water spout.
Skill Swap with Intimidate Hitmontop with Coaching? 🤔
Prankster just breaks this game. It’s insane

Thanks Benny!
I think my biggest take away is that maybe Gravity is just a better utility move than we thought, even if you don't have specific 'gimmicks' with it.
I knew it! I KNEW that Meowstic had a place in conpetitive! I wasn’t being crazy when I made a team focusing on its prankster!
Goldfish: Go to Hella😂
My favorite Skill Swap back in the day was taking Tinted Lens from Venomoth onto Slaking.
Nice strategies!
This was epic. So many diverse ways to win

All the rules of prankster into dark go out the window when you're attacking your own ally. It's weird I agree!

why use supercell over wild charge the extra ten damage not worth it in my opinion over the risk of crash damage
The guaranteed recoil of wildcharge is not worth the 10 less damage in my opionion
At 10k subs we decorate the background am I right?
There should have been a mechanic long ago where moves used on a sleeping pokemon don't miss cuz ummm ... why tf should it miss
