I've always bought plastic glasses too, but then I bought one pair that had nose pads (for my latest normalised reduction). I spent most of the day preparing for the diopter reset, but as soon as I put the new normalised on, within minutes I had a headache. Luckily I had another pair of plastic glasses with the same prescription, so I used those instead and didn't have any headaches. I have no idea why the glasses with nose pads gave me headaches, but I've decided to stick with plastic glasses
    .
Good luck with the new reduction, Gemily.

Do you anything regarding corneal astigmatism? I couldn't find anything other than it can't be cured? Is this true? Or can I do something, ANYTHING PLEASE to reverse it?

    Hi Gem,
Reducing is best, when you begin reading 20/60 on your Snellen.
Then it is one year to 20/20.

      Hows it going!
I've been looking for people who have reduced low myopia.
      Do i need plus lenses?(haven't found actice focus+currently -1)
And whats the benefit of the + lenses for fast progress...jake warns us its challenging stuff and calls it off by stating no need for diffs( for low myopes) your thoughts?

High gem! Just thought I'd let you know that I've had a 0.5 diopter improvement that has been optometrist confirmed!
But I've run into a big problem. I've been playing piano for the best part of 5 years now, but I keep getting ciliary spasm every time I play music.
My differentials don't allow me to see the music clearly and I can't active focus well because my eyes are constantly moving fast across the page and down to my hands on the keys. Any solutions?

    Hi Gem,
I truly relate to your struggle.
    I am impressed.
I am curious - about your choice.
Since you are approximately -2 Diopters, at 20 inches, your vision will be clear.
Do you always take your -2 Diopters off, for reading at 20 inches.
That is what I would do.
    Why not?

I took my glasses off (-3.5) 8 months ago. And do not recognise improvement (of course?) but i love the feeling of space in my face.

Sister, you change your glasses a little fast, so I recommend you to buy fytoo glasses, which is cheap and accurate 😉

Not sure why it's not said more often, but I found out you can compare your current Normalized with 0.25 Higher. When there is no distinguishable difference then you can reduce. There's no longer a difference because you've made all the gains you can and can see clear late in the day or even into the night. Compare them using an Eye Chart at the time of day when your vision is weakest and ask yourself do I see as well as I do with 0.25 more?
I also think wearing the strongest Normalized possible and still be able to do Active Focus is best. Why make it harder than it needs to be? My eyes want Clear vision or as close as I can get. That's how they improve from my experience so far.

I'm at -6.50 and -6.25 and plan to reduce as soon as less than 2 weeks. I'm not sure this comparison method for deciding to reduce will work exactly as well for low myopia. I'm guessing it will help at least as one way to measure and decide when to reduce. I made a lot of mistakes partly by consuming too much information and other information than Endmyopia. I was overthinking a lot, but I am happy I've reached where I am with Eyesight Improvement today. It's easier than I thought! =D

Gem there is a hack online that keeps glasses from sliding down. Not sure why you guys/gals that struggle make the same mistakes its like its an addiction lol GOOD LUCK this time. Those glasses look really good on you. Did you make a .25 gain that is locked in?? Like almost every meausurment??

biggest mistake what you all endmyopia doing is changing frames and having few different frames. If you making your crazy things try to stay in one frame so brain will not get that crazy when you switching. You so focused on diopters but do not focus on mosy important thing in the glasses is frame, which has vertex distance all the angles which create extra aberrations even some spherical errors. So please endmyopia use same frames for all pairs and please use same lense design, cos switching with different lenses material is another stress for the brain.

Hey gemily, is it true I can use plus lenses for an astigmatism only correction to reverse it? I have found that reduced lenses for astigmatism only correction does not work

I’m probably going to switch contacts. I just hate every bit of wearing glasses. Plus when you do it with contacts, you have one set of glasses for let’s say +1.50 for your diffs and you never have to change them, just your contact prescription. Glasses get dirty constantly and if it’s snowing or raining, *sigh, goodbye vision. Plus they are useless at the beach. I dislike wearing contacts, but I dislike glasses more haha.

    • @Ben-pk4cv
      @Ben-pk4cv 2 роки тому

Is that working well changing two focal planes at the time? You could wear +1.25 when you reduce your Normalized to Keep your differential the same until ready to go back to the +1.50. I decided to switch to glasses to do Endmyopia after 24 years of contacts. I don't have experience using plus lenses with contacts but using two different plus lenses makes the most sense to me especially if changing both focal planes seems to cause a long interruption in improvement.

@@Ben-pk4cv ah, good point, didn’t realize that would be changing two planes at the same time.

Hi Gemily, it's your retired optician again. You're really struggling with going back and forth between prescriptions. I know you're following the instruction of someone else in your reducing process but one thing I know you shouldn't be doing is going up and down like that. You need to go to what you feel is you're lowest but yet is able to provide your eye with nearly perfect vision but less than perfect. Then stay with those glasses until your eyes fully have accepted that as your "true" prescription" Then reduce again.
I like your newest glasses on you. Their really cute and I'm sure very light weight as well. But you clearly haven't wore glasses with adjustable nose pads before. Even before you said anything about your glasses you were driving me crazy watching your glasses slide down your nose. i wanted badly to have been able to reach through my computer screen and take your glasses off and adjust them myself. Don't mess with them yourself because you could very easily break off one of the nose pads if you try adjusting it too much. Take them to any optical store and have them adjust them for you. Remember that every Walmart Supercenter has a really nice vision center right in front of every store. When you push them up they are sitting too high on your nose and that in turn has the top of your glasses blocking your eyebrows. The nose pads need to be spread apart so they fit lower on your nose. The earpieces need to wrap behind your ears to help keep them from sliding down. The only good thing when they slide down is that it is weakening the prescription slightly since your lenses are further away from your eyes. But sitting on the very bottom of your nose isn't the best look for you wearing glasses.
