Good to have you back mate I thought you might've chucked the channel. I'll happily watch anything you put on here and know the struggles to keep coming up with new and interesting content.
My son got a new kitchen fitted 4 years ago with built in washing machine etc, just recently the washing machine was tripping the rcbo, the engineer came out and fitted a new pcb in the machine and it still kept tripping,it turned out the kitchen fitter had not properly tightened up the terminals in the socket and they had been arcing for ages and eventually started burning,he said I thought I could smell fish for a while now dad 🙈, enjoyed the video Sean but I enjoy all of your content
I enjoy the videos no matter the length of the video. Currently learning to get in the trade. Passed my theory exams with help from your channel and others as it's sometimes better seeing it in action. All great content. Hope you and Ryan are enjoying your time off 👍🏻 I'll be looking out for the next video!
Content is good Sean, appreciate its everyday to you and Ryan but it’s informative to your subscribers. Hope you enjoy your Christmas break and happy new year to you both.
Short videos of everyday work are good, if footage is presented correctly it will always help someone and they will be grateful. If possible I would include some detail on the circuits and how they are configured, maybe a diagram. I wouldn’t be apologetic for using certain brands, no real evidence of such brands causing any bigger issues than the more expensive brands. Really admire the work and effort you youtuber guys put into producing videos, shows the real frontline when told as it is in the real world.
I need to keep this on board because a lot of the time I just don’t show things simply because I think it’s easy or common knowledge, unconsciously, I wouldn’t even think about explaining certain things because of that if that makes sense. I need to assume the viewers are learners instead of assuming they already know certain things.
@@Cablesmith also gotta be careful not to show too much as you’ll get dodgy Dave the kitchen fitter thinking he’s basically qualified “cos I seen it on UA-cam” 😂
@@Cablesmith obviously not your responsibility to police these d1ckhead DIYers however the more you show them the more likely natural selection would take its course. I give them lights a good rating 3failed out last 7years of only using these so prob in the good 100s , they have just re boxed n slight diff print on fitting so hoping they stay as reliable
Fitted the LAP downlights quite a few times. (Customer supplied) Don't think their the worst on the market tbh. Always WAGO the CPCs, dunno why people cut them out. don't like that they can't be terminated inside the fitting though. Enjoy any video from you bro. Can't really complain about them cuz you make us wait 5 weeks between each upload anyway 😂
Great videos as always Sean thoroughly enjoy them but your not becoming a closet plumber are you? 😆😆😆 HOLD TIGHT 😆😆😆 I will let you into a secret.... I have my city and guilds in electrical engineering and I also have them in plumbing and heating 🙄 I ended up with both as I started off at the bottom being on the tools working up the ladder to management, and I'm still no richer 🤣
Your a plumber!!!! Please unsubscribe 😝😂 I’ve done my fair share of plumbing around my own house tbf mate. Not just odd little things like outside taps either… completely done the whole central heating myself 😂
Good video as usual, I've fitted them downlights for a customer and they are rubbish ,lap do another downlight that is much better and quick to fit and reliable, keep up the good work
Yes enjoyed the video Sean / Ryan, but I wouldn't trust the socket type of thing (blue European type), did it actually have covers over the terminals without a Earth pin like the UK sockets?
Yeah, I've fitted those LAP downlights in the past, and did the same as you to keep continuity of the CPC. Technically non-compliant to do it that way, I believe (something to do with size of unprotected protective conductors being minimum 4mm2), but it's the only sensible way of doing it IMO. Prefer shorter vids personally, some of the youtube spark vids are a bit too bloody long IMO.
@@Martin_Martin_Martin_1 I’ve had something similar I was going to send him before, but I didn’t want people thinking I’m doing it in the hope of gaining subscribers 😂 so left it.
I refuse to fit them Lap Downlights. There crap no fire rated either and that ip65 sticker is never coming off. Takes longer to fit then likes of an Ansell prism
Spot on 👍🏻 good find on the pull chord. Definitely watch more like this fills the break time 🤣👍🏻
Haha thanks mate 👌🏼

I clicked on this for the click bait.
Reverse clickbaiting, trying to get the click bait viewers to watch a video that isn’t click bait 🤫😂
Good content, thanks for sharing.
“Insert click bait here” - you been watching Artisan Electrics again? 😂😂😂
🤫 😂 also, how are my first 2 comments from David Savery and David Avery 🤯😂
For sure, I watch them
I wish Ryan would let you get a word in now and then! Always a nice watch if you thinks it's worth uploading, happy new year lads 😎

I enjoy the routine stuff, it's the way you tell them. 😉 (I like the gorilla.)

Yes enjoyed the video Sean / Ryan, but I wouldn't trust the socket type of thing (blue European type), did it actually have covers over the terminals without a Earth pin like the UK sockets?
Yea it did have the shutters on the line/neutral. Glad you enjoyed it mate
I can't see properly from the video. Did those weird sockets have shutters on the line and neutral holes? Or are they proper deathtraps?
Yes they did that’s the first thing I looked for too 😂

I’ve never liked having the cpc outside an enclosure tbh and very rare I ever need to but sometimes it just makes the most sense
Is that a real double socket Sean ..?
