This song got me through some tough times in middle school. 6th grade to be exact. When I first clicked on a video of this song, my mom called me from the hospital and told me my sister and her 2 year old had only 48 hours to live after getting in a horrible car accident back in 08. Not sure why clicked on this video after I heard that news, but it popped up on my UA-cam recommendations and it always kept me strong and I knew my sister and niece would be fine. My aunt was watching me at home and let me play on the computer at home until bed time and I played this song every second with head phones in everyday ever since and sing along to it on the top of my lungs in Russian. They’re fine today and very healthy and my sister has a successful business and my baby niece is on her way to a basketball scholarship. I listen to this song and I’m reminded why I love to learn Russian and Russian music. I adore my family no matter what and I always think of them even with the most “oddest” comparisons. I often create songs on my keyboard that remind me of tatu songs. Idk why and how, but it found me and comforted my soul. Everyone thinks I am weird for being a black woman learning Russian and Russian music/culture, but I’ll never forgot my mother’s words that day and how terrified I was. This song gave me hope and strength. The pronunciations of the Russian words explained my heart as cheesy as it sounds lol. I hope to one day be fluent and teach others and warm their hearts! Thanks Tatu!!!
