Thanks so much for this video. I’ve had a few rack bags for my axe fx 2 and they aren’t always great. I have had gig skinz in the past and they are good but also cheaply made. But this video definitely helps me to choose my next one. I’ll definitely get the road runner one because I use my laptop for editing patches at rehearsals so that is a massive advantage being able to carry that and also leave it plugged in whilst packed is awesome. Thanks again. Great video.
I bought the GATOR. My biggest worry was the airflow. When I got it I realized there was nothing to worry about. The air holes on the Axe FX are on the sides. There is an inch of free space on both sides. There's also a tiny bit of space under and over the Axe wich we don't see in this video, so airflow is not an issue. Only if you would have a piece of gear that gets rrrreally hot would it be a problem, but it is not the case of the Axe FX at all. This thing does not get hot. Also, when I got this rack, wich is my first, I realized how valuable it's quality of being small is. This thing is all ready quite larger than any guitar amp head, larger than most cabs, so it is more likely that you would knock it over. The bigger the rack case, the more likely it is !! The gator bag is not perfect, it has it's flaws, but it does the job.
+Frethub Guitar Lessons Cool. By the way whats your favorite preset? How awesome is Run like Heck (288) and Mr Gilmour (297). Unbelievable. And I haven't even created custom ones yet.
This was very helpful, thanks. I tried the SKB but mine arrived with the stitching off by about an inch. Thus the velco didn't connect. Trying a 3U Gator.
+leo DJ I don't think they changed the overall outer dimensions from the Mark II to the XL. You may want to double check the dimensions for both on the website - but any of them should work. All 3 bags have their pros and cons - so it is really up to you. I chose the Gator case only because it worked best on my keyboard stand.
Thanks for reviewing the cases I've been trying to figure out which brand to get. I do the the air flow complaints are a bit silly i wouldn't run $2000 worth of gear without a power conditioner anyways. Power conditioners are only about 4-5 inches deep. So get a 3 space and a power conditioner and there's no air flow issues
Hey - I updated the info on the video a little while ago with some more thoughts including my choice - which was the Gator bag (see above) Thanks for watching! If you have any questions feel free to post.

Thanks! This video will help me decide on purchase of case.
Thanks for the video man. I think I'm going to pick up the gator 4u bag. I'm only going to run a 1u power and a 1u sliding shelf for my in ear setup.
Thanks for the very detailed video

Great review. Having watched that, I'm leaning towards the Gator bag, but they all have their plus points.
+Frethub Guitar Lessons Let me know which one you get. If it's good enough for you, i'm on board
I bought the Gator in the end. It's great. No complaints so far.

Thank for the video. Now I'm completely sure I'm not going to buy Gator Bag :)
Are they all suitable with Axe fx ii xl? Which more better

Does the Roadrunner bag have back rails? Thanks.
Jason Chen hmm...I don't think so. I'd Google it/ check it out online though. I no longer have the case to try in my possession

Will these work with a line 6 HD Pro?
Which rag bag did you end up settling on?
