I've always just tied a knot in the shoulder stap webbing. Worked great, but know what your saying. Heading sobo starting August 1st. See you on the trail.
Well worth the time! A number of things I had not thought of, specially like the circle pads for your cook set. Saving so I can reference when my time comes closer. Thanks so much!
Appreciate the video. Built a. Little water scoop from your ideas. Thanks. Will you take your head net from Campo or add it later, like Oregon or NorCal?
The Leki poles are not long enough for the AltaPlex unfortunately. I have tried both the "trekking pole extender" and the "two-trekking pole strap". The pole extender is way easier to use, and that is what I recommend.
Thanks for the well wishes. Yes, I've have tried back-flushing (cleaning) Sawyer water filters before. The two Sawyer Squeeze filters that did fail on me in the past would hardly pass any water at all and they both would not back flush at all. (That was very strange as I've used Sawyer filters for many years before.) The Katadyn BeFree water filters did the same type of failure last hiking season also. Again, very strange for this to happen.
Stumbled upon this, thanks UA-cam. I am looking forward to following you on the trail. Have a good time, Dan

I usually carry the bug net everywhere I go. It's so light and small I never notice I'm carrying it.
New sub here :D I am excited to follow your journey you can do it !!!
I didn’t see what you were using for the Altaplex. Are the Leki poles long enough or are you using the extender?

Hey good luck, have you tried back flushing the Sawyer squeeze that usually restores the flow.
