Hey hi ! First of all lots of love to u n your fam❤️
Now abt dearest coco❤️ I really want to give u an advice because even I had a dog who pass out last year sadly but let me tell you he lived for 20 great years which i call as he lived his 100% life and they are our kids so we never wanna loose them right. Now my advice is that at this stage like my dog’s 18-19th year even he was not able to walk properly coz his back legs were getting very weak because of age so when u take him for a walk please I request you to hold his back side like give him support from back side with your hands( stomach k niche halka sa usko pakadna n help him to walk )because now if he os walking alone his legs are hurting alot internally. Secondly he will not wish to walk alot on his own but if u giving him support to walk as i told u that is more than enough to make him walk. My dog was not able to walk in our carpet area also, so tiles pe walk karna is also difficult because their paw area pains at this age and even the nails area. So we will have to accept this that usko abhi kahi pe bhi chalna aasan nahi hoga until and unless u give support to his back legs like hold him from there. Next is ,where ever he sleeps or sits put some warm rug or something that provides alot of warmness. Next is, at this stage sleeping on one side will make his skin dry or some rashes so if u find anything like this then apply a cream consulting his Vet. Next very IMPORTANT THING, at this stage generally dogs do not clean their private areas after peeing… so I request you to clean it after ever time they pee BECAUSE if it remains unclean and when a FLY 🪰 comes n sits at that private part ..they either pee or poop there which later on causes lots of literally “lots of” little worms(maggots)in dogs private part which we are not aware of and even it happens hum ko easily pata nai chalta kyuki its in their private area .. we understand it only if we see that our dog is behaving restless. So I request you to please keep watch on their private areas each and every day. This thing has happened with me trust me. At my dog’s 19th age he got this maggots and at one night I observed that my dog was very very restless so i just check him so there was a little amount of light blood color on his penis area so i checked it properly (it was around 1 at night) and i was just terrified after what i saw. Almost 10 visible little worms(maggots) i could see on top of his penis head.They had literally made holes in his top penis area so at that night I couldn’t take him to his VET ..i had to wait until morning but I couldn’t resist my self by looking at my dog’s condition. At that moment of time what i did was i took a plucker and very gently i was removing those worms and putting it in fenyl water so that they die there.. one by one visible worms i remove and trust me I could see that relief on my baby’s face he literally then slept while i was applying little haldi and soon the next morning i took him to vet. Doctor said me this happens at this age coz dogs don’t clean their private parts after peeing then because of that fly sits on their private part and then his maggots take place . His Vet then cleaned him and treated him well. But i want to tell you this prehand because I don’t wanna anybody else to suffer like this so it is better we take care before hand❤️ and at this stage make sure no flies are around your dog. From my dogs 19th half age onwards till his complete 20th, i had to feed him by my hand every day every meal because he wasn’t able to sit or stand . So when he use to sit on floor completely he use to loose balance so that’s why i started feeding him so that atleast he can finish eating his whole meals and his stomach gets full. So eventually even this is going to come in your way❤️. Lastly , later this stage will also come where u have to hold him as i told you while doing potty or pee.. because they don’t have strength to even stand or sit at this age.. so they are going to need ur physical support all the time now. I know u will definitely do it❤️❤️ Lots of Love and blessings to coco baby❤️

Thank you for sharing this info. All dog parents should be aware of extra care to be taken in dog's old age. My female Pomeranian lost her battle against old age last week. She was 17 years. We also experienced same situation you have described about back legs & feeding by hand

You can lay wooden flooring over tile flooring…we have done that for our pet…we had marble flooring and we layed wooden on it as too much slippery floor is not good for there bones…pet Dr. Told us. And this process of flooring takes max 1-2 days. They lay it directly over existing flooring…no tod fod.

Happy birthday to Coco from Layla the bichon frise from NZ..I am amazed as Coo has lived a good life and is still healthy at this age. I have not come any across any small dogs living this long. Wishing him more and happy years with you.
