Oh my God! I am researching both of these for online school so I’ve been watching videos on them all day. I was watching your other Sony review while also looking through your videos and saw this as your latest. It’s like it was meant to be. I never expected to come across a video comparing both of these.

They both are good with the mic quality. The sounds are definitely different.

have you tried the Koss Porta Pro? They look quite funky (1984 design) but they're a bang for the buck

@lucif3rx2005 actually they are both good. If you would prefer not to have something in your ears then I would go with the Sony headphones
This Sony is a hidden monster. Without its damper, this headphone has a very detailed and natural sound, even though it can be a little agressive. Unfontunately, its drivers are very hard to drive, to extract its full potential it needs a considerable ammount of power.
I'm deciding whether or not I need to buy new headphones for voice acting. Would the jbl 500 be okay to start out? Can I turn the mic off (on the computer) to use my snowball mic?
I wouldn’t use it for your mic on your computer. The snowball mic sounds much better I’d presume. However, JBL does have a headphone set that’s for gaming but sounds really good for mic quality. I would go with that.
@@NatashaHerbert I have these already, they were on sale at Ross, and I'm happy with them for $20. I'm wondering if there's a way to disable the headphone mic, and only use the snowball? (For now until I can afford a new pair 😅)
I just bought the jbl and it’s super super super tight and it just overall hurts my ear 😕

i bought the jbl 500's and they have amazing bass on certain songs, but after a while it pinches ur ear and you have to take em off for a few minutes.
Yes, I’ve noticed that as well. Some songs sound way better than others.

i have the sony mdrzx110's and for the money they are good value considering i only paid $21 aud for mine they get a thumbs up from me...i would like to try the jbl's at some stage just to compare.
Yea the Sony’s def outperform them. JBL has some nice products but those headphones aren’t it lol
@@NatashaHerbert yeer well maybe not 500 i would buy... the only thing i do not like about the sony's is they could make them more comfortable i dont not recommend wearing them for any longer than 2 hours at a time then have a break for a few hours.
just picked these up from Ross cause i was looking for new swim trunks and they were $17.99 so meh, they get the job done, but would def grab a a higher price headphones for editing n such. But $17.99 I'll give them a shot, anything higher, and I might pass hard.
Yes, they will get the job done. Yes for editing I would do the Soundcore or Audio Technica headphones. Thanks for watching tho!
