That's because Gary and this drummer were together in Tribal Tech. They are on point and familiar with each other. All they're missing is Scott Henderson burning up on the guitar 🎶 love TT
Felix is nailing it. @ 9:46, That's what Chambers does. Meter modulation in his solos. Take a groove in ⁴/⁴ then drop to half time straight or a shuffle. Henderson & Berlin said the were really counting where 1 is when Chambers was soloing with HBC.
Donald Best Jaco is still my favorite bassist of all time...for so many reasons, but I’ve loved Gary Willis since the 80’s with Tribal Tech...Gary is my favorite living bassist for sure...
will have to learn Armegeddon due to this. And the German drummer is so awesome. First have to play Gershwin Rhap in Blue tmrw and then get my brother to transcribe Armeddon since I can't find it online. Just bought a 5 string frettless because of Gary. Shipping to Switzerland means 4 weeks of waiting. Zoinks
What u talking bout...where the fuck is gary coleman...didnt realize the had bass guitars in 1842 he was prob in his mid 20s by then...i think he should do something him n buckethead idk...
Probably no more than Tomas de Torquemada, Hernán Cortés or even Augusto Pinochet....! I think if he just got rid of his moustache, the doppelgänger issue wouldn’t arise and you could enjoy the music a touch more!
Thanks Gary for showing us proper right hand technique.
I love gary. He is probably my favourite bass player in the world.
Gary has some of the best and funkiest phrasing
I think this is drummer for Gary. they are in sync, clean and he compliments his playing wonderfully. Gary Willis. Oh man!!

@@Josh-yi4gr Felix Lehrmann in Tribal Tech? Cool
@@Josh-yi4grErr no they weren't,the drummer for Tribal Tech is Kirk Covington.

Nice, Gary is incredible bass man
Jaco used to me my favorite bass player. How could have I never heard of such an awesome talent? Better late than never.
The best thing that happened on electric bass ever since Jaco! Gary Willis!

never heard of this guy before today

BASS MAN AWESOME..BASS WAS SMOKING....DRUMMER KILLING IT...LOVING IT
Absolute madlads. Incredible performance.
True joy was brought to my soul with this performance. Thanks
😮 Gary’s the best ever! Thank you Gary.
Good effort from this Felix bloke, living up to a prime Dennis Chambers is probably the most impossible task in the history of mankind though.
I am most surprised about this drummer. Isn't that the guy from Martin Miller? Fantastic performance
That’s the one!
this is really drum&bass!!!!!
1st listening to Mr. G Willis. . awesome
oh.. Felix Lehrmann on drums... nice.. didn't expect this.
El mejor bajista del mundo. No podría der mejor.
Directo a mis favoritos, que buen video, la técnica de Willis es incomparable y el baterista es excelente...
I dont know i hear Jaco every where in his frases....great gary !!
great drumming
I've never really been impressed with Gary Willis.
But in this video he's playing awesome.
Wish he played like this more often.
Just my thoughts
Who the hell are you impressed with? You must've not heard any of his albums, solo or with Tribal Tech.
What do the three switches on the lower edge of the ramp do? My guess is they are not on the "production" model.
My favorite german drummer!
2:10 bass starts after drum solo
Fantastic drummer - reminds of the power and personality of Ronald Bruner Jr
Grandissimo Gary
Missing Scott Henderson on this one. Gary and Scott are like hand and glove
Freaks, both of them! :-)
Wow
Gréât drummer
Anyone know what those black things poking out of his finger ramp are? Knobs or switches of some sort?
GK interface switches
Damn.
What about the three "pieces" at the side of the ramp ??
GK interface pushbutton
Let me find out that Gary Willis and Jerry Miculek are actually the same guy.
(It makes sense...)
drummer of MM Band

A monster 😗

Gary Willis=> The Promised Land
Everything but heart.

Il est fou raide ce Gary! Arrêtez le! My Hero!!
Drummer often plays with click, not with bass player. Must shift focus - 20/80 - click/band. And Gary is one of the most undervalued bassists.
My understanding from hearing Gary speak is the drummer only starts the song with a click!
Nette Bass-Sologitarre. Aber es fehlt ein Bass!

The tone of the bass drum kind of ruined it for me.
Mistake at the end
IT'S JUST ME OR THE DRUMMER LOOK LIKE HITTLER !!! LOL
