Dry humps, the bane of a reliever's existence.

I know with independent baseball, there’s times where the team doesn’t want to waste any arms and instead will warm up a position player (aka: a utility player) and put them in the game, now if the starting pitcher somehow gets ejected from the game… then you’d have to call in a reliever on short notice and instead of having them warming up in the bullpen, having them warm up on the field as they get as much pitches as needed if the starting pitcher gets thrown out. I’ve actually seen that happening last season… the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks playing the Gary SouthShore RailCats in Fargo, Matt Tomshaw the starter for the RedHawks… Tomshaw goes to get the out at first and Tonshaw was on the base, the batter/runner for the RailCats trips over the base and umpire calls them safe, Tomshaw arguing his case… RedHawks manager Chris Coste comes out to argue and the starting pitcher gets ejected after getting just an inning pitched, Coste still arguing his case, the RedHawks infield trying to tell the reliever to warm up on the field as they’re going to get as much warm-up pitches as they need, and as that’s happening… Coste gets ejected, and he tries to eject the umpires. I suggest searching American Association of Professional Baseball tv for the whole entire video (costs $14.99 to subscribe)
