Being someone who leases out registered Angus breeding bulls to the locals in my area, I really love seeing the Brian Sonne bulls! Cole ya got one of the best agricultural farm mentors in the state coaching you along, you’ll do just fine on the new lease. Good luck brother 🇺🇸
Corgies are awesome dogs. Like Border Collies, they are herding dogs. What a sweet puppy. I'm sure Ellie will warm up to him.
We all have highs and lows, and nobody likes the lows but they happen !! Congratulations on the Highs and pray we can all keep the lows away 🙏 I Love watching you Farm with great attitudes and attention to details and your Livestock 🤗
Sure glad the Sonnes are dog lovers. Ellie would have made a great cattle dog when she was younger with training n paired up with another cattle dog. Only way we could safely control our breeding Angus bulls n Angus Holstein cross grass fed custom order on ranch butchered beef
Shooting a young dog in training still and then the kids pet goat. Pretty darn cold. Wonder how she raised her kids, whips n clubs.
Cole, you don't have the financial investment in the farm that Brian does, but you are fully vested in it. The appreciation you 3 men have for each other is heartwarming.
I've thought for years I would get a Corgi but didn't. It will be fun to watch Sonny as he grows and becomes a farm dog.
Congrats on the new ground and the new pup. You guys are the best.
I hope Ellie doesn't get too jealous. What a little cutie. Congratulations on the acreage Cole. I'm sure that farmer/friend is also a fan of your channel and knows his land will be in good hands.
As a father it is great to help out a son. It is even greater when the son truly appreciates the opportunity given to him by his father. Great channel. Great family.
Very biblical, great comment !
"I care alot" - Cole, it shows, Brian too - that's what makes you great farmers! Sorry for your loss, it's never easy on the wallet or the heart.
Congratulations Brian on the new puppy, very cute. I'm sure Ellie will warm to him as he grows - right now she's just like "I'm too old for this puppy shi..."
And Congratulations Cole on the new expansion. I'm sure you guys will take it under your wing with ease!
Thanks for sharing! Congrats Cole! Love the newest addition to the farm.
Well Cole, you're another rung down on the credits--Sonny is gonna be a star.
Cute pup....
Congrats Cole.
They're not making any new land , so its great you found some fairly close.
Sonny is so cute. So sorry for the lost of the cow. New feed wagon...WOW. Great job on getting more land. thank you guys
Most people have no idea what farm life is like ! Its hard when you lose livestock but you see it enough you learn to move on in life and do your best keep your head up and provide the best life for them possible ! So happy for you Cole that you get a chance to farm more land , looking forward to it
Congratulations Cole! Always exciting for young farmers to start their own spread! 👍
Life on the Farm isn’t always a bed of roses. It’s blood sweat and tears to be perfectly honest. We raise Quarter horses and train barrel horses. It’s a matter of pride in how we take care of our animals. I see compassion and kindness in your guys operation. My grand daughters watch these videos and I appreciate you so much. It’s good clean knowledge! Thank you!
Congrats on getting some land to farm. The new puppy is so cute
Love sonny and the new cafe we new a name for it to sorry for your loss 🐮🐮🐄🐄
Cool pup, Corgis are the best. I have had one for three and a half years, love her. I'm sorry for the loss, but rejoice with you all with the good things. Good luck with the new land rental, Cole.
Love the farming videos you do Brian ,Cole .
It's always a shame when you get casualties. But as our vet says "When you have livestock you will get deadstock". On a brighter note, that pup is golden, going to be a handful. Very bold little fella.
Sonny is adorable!!!❤️ Love watching y’all’s videos!
Sonne farms video on your birthday, nothing better than
Happy birthday
Happy birthday. 🎈🎈🎈
Happy Birthday
Congratulations Cole ! When opportunity knocks its best to open the door. One never knows when it might come around again.
Congratulations on the new rental acreage Cole! And Brian I love Your new “squeeze” Corgi’s make great farm dogs. Cuteness is an added bonus. Ellie will be a good teacher for Sonny👍
When I was a little kid my dad picked up some land a few miles away. He told my mom over supper that we needed a hard man. Rodney laughed at me when I went to school and told him we were getting a hard man.
Love Ellie's reaction to the new puppy. . .
Corgis are awesome farm dogs.We had 2.One lived to be 15,and the other 17 years. They are the sweetest ,most loyal dogs. They love to herd even humans.I have fell over, them a few times. They keep all wild life off their property, love to retrieve.Miss ours so much!
Good for you Cole! Go for it😃😃😃
You and your dad are awesome man
Thank you
That is great news for Cole, moving up to the next level much success to you. And congrats to Brian on the puppy. I had the exact same color Corgi. His name was Bandit. I named him that because his face looked like he had a bandits mask on. He lived for 15 years. Sadly he is gone now. I miss him very much. Corgis are great dogs, especially around critters, they were bred for farm work. They will go all day, tons of energy.
Congratulations, Cole! Cute puppy, Brian!
Thank you!!
Nice puppy. Appreciate and throughly enjoy your content, be it good or not so good. Thank-you ❤.
Those that got them will lose them, Those that don't can't. An old farmer told me that years ago.. he has been gone but not forgotten for a long time.
great episode
The realities of farming! Great video! Enjoyed that one! Best of luck to you guys in the 2024 growing season!
It's awesome your showing the bad with good it makes for a much better channel.
Sorry about the cow. Those bulls look fit and feisty. Love your electric fence tester! 🔨 Congrats on the lease, Cole. It’ll be well worth the planning and field work you do. Please give us lots of Sonny videos while he’s little, he’s adorable.
Stunning video guys........the highs and the lows, the future and the past all in one video, thanks for all you do......
Sounds like a great opportunity.....renting the farmland. Congratulations 🎉. Thank you for the video 😊
Good dogs, takes loving people.
Sorry to see that you lost that cow. Life I guess... That's a great looking new puppy!!! Congratulations on the acreage you now have to farm. ..
Class Act Operation, handle the good and bad, and when you realize your success from hard work, you will be happy. (And continue to work hard for the next generation)😄
Cute pup
wonderful video the highs are great but going through life there are some lows beautiful puppy God BLESS
Family farming great 👍
Congrats on the land!
Have it happen several several times over the years mostly during winter time on hay bales
Brian looks pretty proud that you picked up some acres.
What are you going to be planting ? Any hay to help build that back up. I know corn & soy beans is what makes you money. Good for you Cole. Brian I love Sonny he's so cute ❤ is he going to be an inside dog also or just outside like Ellie ? This one you can train to ride with you in the fields & anything else you want him to do.
Hopefully soon!!
So when the bottle calf gets older will it still run to you ? Nice job guys.
Congrats on the opportunity for the new acreage.
Thanks
Cole
Your future could not be in safer hands !!!
That of your Dad , Uncle Jeff , Ellie the Pup and your good self
What a pity the young Farmers of Scotland don't have such a great start in life
I wish you luck
ps there was one Huge Bull in the loading circle nearest to the Camera much more than 2000 lbs
Does Dad buy in New Bloodlines from Bulks yearly ??
High regards for this Great operation
Brian Dawson Edinburgh Scotland 😀
Brian / Cole when I had cattle I lost a few. In about 1966 we had a flock of sheep , we lost 1 once in a while also. We sold fat lambs. Dad made this comment , son we got 25 cents a pound. We made money! ( fat lamb about 100 pounds)
Just a little PC help for you - KUHN should be pronounced kyoon' as they do in the americanization of the name from Germany from where this name derives. Good to see you back, Brian! You look rested, too!
I think the Queen of England had about a half dozen or so Welsh Corgis. Good compaions and herding dogs as well. Raise him right and he might be able to show Ellie a thing or two about moving cows around.
Sonny!!! #CorgiPower!!!!
Brian I like your dog
Appreciate you sharing.
Thanks for watching
Keep up the good work !! and the videos
Who could ever see enough of a puppy?
My dad lost a cream color cowin January
So is that bull going to be a steer or just go to the hamburger 🍔 plant? Cute new puppy.
Congrats Cole for new land rental .. how many acres if not confidential ?
Hiya Brian and Cole, loved the video today. Just curious: What happens to an unproductive bull? Surely you don't keep him. Take care...
Just curious why you go with a reel mixer over a vertical?
Farming is definitely full of ups and downs. Real life isn't always roses and rainbows. I lost a first calf heifer this spring the same way to bloat. You can't have livestock without deadstock.
I think Ellie is going to have to think things over before she is BFF with the new pup. It's life but bummer on the loss of the cow.
Better than driving on the road
😮 new cow pecking order
We are concerned about the health of your Uncle Jeff.
Sorry you guys lost a Cow and your Bull isn't going to be passing on his genes anymore. At his age is He just ground beef or can he still get top dollar and butchered into steaks and higher cuts? Sad he won't be passing on his genes especially if he was that studly looking one you were patting the "New York strip steaks" on! He looked so good my tummy growled a bit! It would make my day every time I saw that little calf come running for me even if I wished mom could care for him. Love it that's awesome. Hope mom's problem with giving enough milk is temporary and will be okay, if not that's two cows and a bull your down.
ground beef
Looks like Cole has a new little sibling
So what do you do with the dead cow? Bury it, burn it??
What happens when a cow passes unexpectedly ? Do you bury it ? is it still worth something to someone ?
It really isnt worth anything. Most farmers have a hole that is used for dead animal disposal
In our area in Wisconsin there are still a few mink ranches around. We call a hauler and a truck comes out and winches the carcass on and they are fed to the mink.
By me there is a Big Cat sanctuary and as long as the animal hasn't been medicated they are grateful for fresh carcasses that the farmers bring them. In the winter there is always a stack of new born dairy calves out by their gate.
You guys know better than anybody life and death is part of farming
This video was out for only one hour and already had 2.3k likes on it
At least there were more highs than lows.
The loss of the cow was expensive, but don't look at the bull going sterile as a great loss. I'm sure he had plenty of fun during his time at bat and now its time to move on. The look on Brian's face when Cole mentioned the bull at the end kinda said it all. But.....BUT....the funniest thing I heard Brian say today was:" UH OH! THEY'RE COMING BACK!" Nobody wants to be standing on the tracks when the 15 thousand pounds of beef train comes running through!
I didn’t know that happened to cows.
Puppy!!! Per my Niece E.R.M.
Another high is green grass!
It sucks finding a de ad animal but thankfully it doesn't happen often
Corgis were bred to herd.
How does the price compare from a refurbished mixer to a new one?
less than half
@@briansonne814 Good deal.
Congrats on rental
Hi cute puppy. I want a little puppy
Sorry to see you lose the cow but it’s part of life. Congratulations Cole on getting that farm land. We are very happy for you!
yeah, I can't tell you how many times I've woken up in a great mood to a beautiful day, and gone outside to find animals deceased. Just ruins your entire day.
Welcome back Brian I think everyone has missed you
Cole, your father is really doing some great things in setting the farm up for the future with some very nice upgrades. You both are outstanding folks and the world would be a better place if more people were like you guys.
I so appreciate that!
Congrats Cole on this opportunity to grow your operation! Your dad and uncle Jeff will help you make it all work! Great job young man!
Brian - this video should have been called “Being a Dad” We got to see the lows you have to work through, your son who has learned a lot - and still has a ways to go. The learning never stops. Hopefully that new pup helped brighten your day a bit.
Sonny is a cute name for the puppy. I’m sorry about the cow dying but thats part of farming. Welcome back Brain hope you had a great trip. Thanks for sharing this with us
Thank you for the great content, and Brian, is sucha cool dad!
Y'all are so blessed to have each other, Brian it's so awesome to know that someone will be there to care on your dream and life long passion... God has blessed Y'all..
Sad days make the Sonne days so much better. Ownership shows in the way you both handle problems.
Sonny Sonne! Love the name. Another Sonne teamwork video. I’m sorry for your loss, but happy for the opportunity for expanded farming… wishing you all the best with the 2024 planting/growing/harvesting seasons.
That puppy is precious! Good to see Brian back. Sorry about your loss. Thanks for putting it out there though. Farming is hard. Physically and emotionally.
It’s so great that you two get along with each other. There are many reasons why I watch you guys but the best is your relationship with each other. Thank you keep up the blessings for us to enjoy.
Have you lost weight Brian? Looking healthy. Congratulations on the opportunity Cole. All the best to you guys 👍💪
Very sorry about the cow passing and the bull not passing. Congratulations Cole on getting the land to farm. Welcome little puppy, you are certainly going to live the great life on Sonne Farms.
Sorry for the loss of the cow. Hope the best for her calf. Looks like Elly will have a running mate, bet they will get into a whole lot of "Sonne farm mischief !! Prayers for you all and for all the cattle!! Be safe, God bless. Congrats on getting to lease the land, I'll send my spouse to help (haha)
Wow! Congrats, Cole, on the new land rental!! What a truly great opportunity for you. With your dad and your Uncle Jeff at your side, this seems like a gift from God. And welcome home, Brian! My husband and I really enjoy armchair farming, sharing both the good and the sad, with both of you and your families. 😊 Here's to many, many more great videos.
