    Mostly work from home and I like the Lightcycle's flexibility to change the lighting angle, lumens, color temp, and the lighted tube for ambient night light is a nice touch.

    You didn’t mention how the light can focus the beam based on your activity, like reading a book. Is it worth $650? Probably not. I will say this for Dyson as a whole. Their customer service is probably the best I have ever dealt period. If you buy a product from them, and you have a problem, they will take care of it. I own a lot of them, but a light ain’t one.

      For the absurd prices they charge for their below average quality products, the customer service better be damn good.

    Hi! I've a question:
    Is there something inside the tube to diffuse the spotlight or is it completely empty?

    • @bluegrass571
      @bluegrass571 2 роки тому +2

      This is an excellent question. I read a review of the Dyson Lightcycle that noted that, unlike earlier models, a plastic diffuser of sorts had been introduced, which qualitatively changes the light being emitted and degrades the quality of shadowing produced by the light.
      I am by no means an expert on this subject, but if you look at the Dyson CSYS, some models had a single LED COB array, meaning all the light was emitted by a single LED (that was passed through a lens to achieves the desired dispersion of the light). I think the issue with this design is that it might not support outputting at different color temperatures. I do hope that they return to an LED COB design some day, as I prefer the beauty of that light compared to one that can automatically change the color temperature based on the time of day (which isn’t as important to me). Thanks for your comment.

    No it's not. Video unnecessary. There's nothing anyone could ever say that could justify the cost.

    I don’t recommend this light. I just got mine today, April 14, 2023, and not even a full day, it started turning off by itself. Yes, the sensor was disabled. Stay away from this $650 junk! You’ll regret it. It’s a common issue with this light!

      I never heard about anyone with the same problems. I ordered one long ago and thought now it's time to get it exchanged because they had enough time to fix the controller problems:/ I thought if it would be a software problem they had already solved it by update, but doesn't fix

    Looks very cheap. Much rather buy one or several hue bulbs with a properly designed lightstand from a renowned designer, for that money.

      You better not look at Italian lamps that win international design awards. One example among many is the Atollo lamp, which has a simple on/off switch and costs $4,347. You would probably have a heart attack. There are dozens of other examples like this, anything by Flos, well over $1,000 and have been selling for more than 40 years. It’s a big world out there…

    • @StardustLegacyFighter
      @StardustLegacyFighter 3 місяці тому

      @awesomelife3710 That's a very good point, although this Dyson lamp wouldn't even be classed as affordable, especially when looking at functional lamps only.
      I could buy 2 BenQ lamps for the price of 1 Dyson lamp, and still have £50 left over.
      Sure, I'd be missing out on some smart features, but I consider them to be pretty gimmicky and only "convenient" for really rich and lazy people.
