Gold was averaging £260 an ounce in 1984 ..A 1oz krugerand is made from a 91.67% gold composition and 8.33% copper...equals £238.34 of pure gold
‘Expert’ Stating a 1OZ Krugerrand was under £100 in 1984/94. What a load of nonsense!!!
The price of gold was $250 per ounce in 1984 which was about £150. Not as far out as you might think.

To be honest I woulnd’t have paid anything for that plate, condition was shit. I hate when people hang them on the wall on metal hooks, that plate hade several metal hook scars.
