Oliver Fox, one of the pioneers of astral projection, used lucid dreaming to induce bilocation, I would add that quantum spatial superposition, where all one's electrons are coherently "displaced" in space, whilst entangled with the physical body, could be an explanation for this phenomena.. Also if the body was part of a slayer exciter circuit, which finds the resonance of a system, it might assist with obtaining the longitudinal resonance.
I had an intentional OOB experience. Visited my granddaughters who lived a short distance away on the same property. I was going to touch finger tips in ET or The Sistine chapel image. Felt myself being rushed through space at the speed of light, even hearing a swooshing sound as you might hear in the movies. I realized that I did not have a body so touching finger tips wasn’t going to work. I encountered my young granddaughters and Immediately swooshed back to my home. I found myself back sitting on my bed as I had been before my little trip. I laughed at the silliness of trying such a thing and thinking I might be able to pull it off. I must have had a short dream.😂 The next morning while watering my garden I had a visit from my daughter and granddaughter. I was asked if what my granddaughters had experienced was me. Thank goodness that my daughter has had enough paranormal experiences to even consider that it could have been me. I learned I indeed didn’t have a body but was a ball of light. Unfortunately I had frightened my granddaughters. I have never tried doing that again. Not knowing how i did it, or if there was hazards doing it, I won’t be doing that. But it was quite an amazing experience.

Then, immediately, I was walking there on a narrow road of an ancient town, crowded with people of all nations, races and dress. 50 yards in front of me, I saw two known, `dead` Ladys, walking arm in arm and chatting merrily. Suddenly they noticed me, with horror in their faces they came running towards me, screaming: "But Angela, what are you doing here, you are not supposed to be here, go back, go back, faaast !!!" Thus, immediately I came to within my body, jumping up on my bed in surprise. The amusing fact is, that on earth those 2 Ladys were the worst enemies possible, both fighting like mad over the same man: But in that other world they are such loving, harmonious friends. A.L.M.
This is a great interview, but both parties have something backward. ALL that occurs occurs INSIDE of consciousness. It is only because people are conditioned to think that there is something external to a "self" that things seem to be outside. This is the common misconception simply because people identify as individuals instead of as consciousness itself.

The strange part was that the following day, I (in real life) drove to town, looking for the location of where a man in a wet suit, exited the saltwater carrying a small child, looking dead and petrified, out of the sound and into a large construction disposal bin. I truly believed a child had been murdered (long ago), and it needed to be reported. I could not find anything that looked like a trash receptacle; therefore, I drove home and searched the internet for news stories, so I could confirm what I viewed. It felt that I was out of my body, instead of being in my bed sleeping. I am still baffled! My posts are way to long, and I apologize for my questions and concerns. I believe I was attempting to report childhood emotions to myself. Yes, being dismissed as a small child probably makes many of us feel that we were symbolically murdered in spirit and souls, as children.

There's evidence such as measured brainwaves and neural activity associated with it. You can do a simple google search for evidence but it won't be "proven" to people who don't experience it because it's pretty much an entirely subjective experience. See, while you think you're being a skeptic, you're actually being anti-intellectual. A real skeptic and logical thinker wouldn't make a comment like that dismissing OBEs on the basis of research you didn't bother to look up.
I've been listening to these accounts for a long time and there are a lot of different descriptions. I'm not talking about or dismissing the near death OBE descriptions, which is where they talk about no neural activity while the person claims to have had one. I'm talking about the self induced OBEs as described in this interview. The claim is simple, that that they can willfully move their consciousness perspective around independent of their body and observe the real world. Those claims could be easily tested.
