Going to definitely try this on my keezer build in progress.......seems easier than mounting brackets, hinges, etc. for the fan. Easy, clean setup. Nice job !

Drill a hole for that cord! We're not Neanderthals!
Seriously though, nice idea. Keezer is on my list of things to build so I'll definitely keep this in mind.

Where is the temp control sensor? Just got my fan today, thanks for the link!

Some insulation on the inside of your collar would make a big difference too

Hey guys, the Amazon link you provided for the 4”, 90 degree elbow, goes to a 6” version. THX

I think you seal the bottom of the fan to make sure your only pulling air from the pipe and not the top

Just curious...would it make more sense to reverse the fan and blow down through the tube instead of trying to suck cold air up from the bottom?

It could, I think because it's a rather small area in general the physics behind it doesn't matter. In this case we are just trying to move air. I'm sure it would work either way.

Do you keep this on all the time? Or do you hook it up in the controller out so it just turn on when the fridge does?

This runs continually, plugged right into the wall.

This idea looks very promising and I think I am going to give it a try. I'm curious, did help with the problem you were having? I have a fan mounted to my lid but never felt like it did much in the way of moving air. I have always had some foaming issues with my keezer, especially with the first pour or two. I've messed around with my pressure settings, nothing has really helped. Recently I set a 12 pack of canned beer on top of one of my kegs. Went to drink some 2 days later and the canned beer was room temperature. My temp probe in a water bottle on the floor of the freezer reads 36 degrees. That is a huge difference. Makes me wonder if my foaming is entirely beer line temperature related.

It has certainly helped with the issue I was having with foaming.

The issue I had with foaming came from the lines being too short. I did have a frozen keg in the keezer as well so I'm hoping this resolves the issue.

Awesome video and build. Just one question though after looking for a fan. The one you linked is around 45-50 dollars on amazon. Is there a cheaper alternative that you think would work? Thanks for your help. Cheers

Geeze, they are pricey now for some reason. Ill add the following one as a possible alternate, but im not sure if its made of plastic or metal. Either way it should work and appears to be the same size.

LOL the huge yawn on camera at 3:45 basically sums up Eric (on the right)'s 'give a dam meter' for Mosku HB UA-cam

Knowing how we typically film.... He was probably ready for this to be over 🤣. Not to mention probably past lunch time 💀😂

Those 2 fans are exactly the same price now.

The fan is 15amps. How are you not blowing a breaker when it comes on?

    • @MoskiHomebrew
      @MoskiHomebrew  4 роки тому

      Should be 75mA not 15A. Only 9W at 120V.

Moski Homebrew gotcha. Thank you for the clarification.
