Try to put a ring of silicone based material in the solder via iron holder. It won't dissipate the heat of the iron. That bearing has a very high thermal mass. It will. suck the heat right out of your tip. That's counterproductive. A silicone-based insert in that would be much better. because it insulates the heat. It's also much less likely to warp the plastics surround.
It's good advice, though the rear shaft of the soldering iron tip doesn't get nearly as hot as the business end; the thermal conductivity just isn't that great.
Ah, I was wondering why the bearing was used. Good thinking. I guess however you will need to let the iron cool completely before putting it in the box or the whole box would melt like a bar of chocolate Ona hot summer’s day 😊
@fritzbox5014 on mine, I made the iron slide into a ring and then clamp, so it can't touch the plastic no matter what, to prevent that. @@fritzbox5014
Wow, the way you did that is simply brilliant. You can't even get such perfect speakers from reputable manufacturers. Simply brilliant. You're a genius!
If you have this you know the issue is that you need some kind of cover for your brass mesh. Otherwise the inside gets covered in solder dust since it’s free to just fall out of the mesh
Закономерность - чем лютее дичь, тем больше лайков и просмотров. А потом удивляются, что вокруг одни идиоты и сделать ничего в сервисе не могут нормально.
I printed one of these for my pinecil, the people who made the designs are awesome and this case has been amazing for traveling with the soldering iron
Looks very like what I did about 3 years ago, except carried on to perfection! I just made it a snap shut design and engraved the writing by hand. You'll hate your solder reel in a short time - you need to take it out to solder. I went with a sort of flat frame to wind it around that snaps in and out. Good job, anyway.
Мне пришлось всё тоже самое, делать из поролона, внутри чехла на молнии (змейке). Вышло тоже очень приятно и эффектно. Правда не настолько технлогичен был процесс, как у автора ролика.
Nice. First I thought why the ball bearing? But with a little thinking I realized it is a great ideal. Outer and inner ring only have point contact via the balls of the bearing. Therefore limiting the heat transfer from the inner ring to the outer ring.

Yes please! Looks great

Smart appearance and robust design. Like the seal touch too! Yes please. Thank you.
Great job!
Can I get an STL?
This is very good, I'd appreciate if you could share the STL,thanks!!

No, the tip isn't anywhere near the steel holder. The bit of the iron it touches should be nearly cold.
Very good printout

Hello.. I like your smooth 3D printed. 😊 What type glue did you use?
This looks great! I would appreciate the STL files!
Great job and so... complete in every aspect!

STP files would be even better.
Awesome! STL please!

Wow.....fantastic work!!
Maybe a bit overengineered. I use a pencil case for my soldering stuff. To hold the thing while its hot, i got a large paper clip.
😂😂😂
paper clip configuration please
If the irin stays in the bearing too long its gonna heat up and melt the plastic
did you not see the screwdriver case? This is underengineered, if anything
This is how you get better cat CAD.
If you have this you know the issue is that you need some kind of cover for your brass mesh. Otherwise the inside gets covered in solder dust since it’s free to just fall out of the mesh
Nice case, I really like how everything snaps in place. I would love the STL files please!

Search for "TS101 Rugged Case".
yes please! amazing!
This looks really well thought out! Did you design it yourself? I love the color scheme you did! I want the stl file please!

@@ThisIs3DPrinted I see that it is remix of my initial design on thingiverse. Especially bearing holder that inserts in case
Wish I had this level of 3d design skill

A post showing your design process would be fantastic.
Love the work.
Brilliant case for a soldering iron that I also have
Yes please! Looks great .i want the STL file

Really nice, cant wait to print
Bravo, bravíssimo! Amazing job!
Fantastic idea! Absolutely love it!!
such a satisfying build. lovely execution
Looks super clean. Curious what the screwdriver set is though?
Nice case for your soldering stick. THX
Yes Please this looks Amazing
Super great design, but make sure nothing melts and do you know if just putting screws without nut at the end for the hinges is reliable???
Hell yes! Would love this file

Thanks for sharing. I could watch how you put it together all day 😊.
Very nice model.
Thanks 😊
Prettiest 3d printing i have ever seen very useful
Coool case for T soldering-Cool work bro🎉

Excelente trabajo, gracias por el aporte
Wow yar a premium designrr
That was satisying to watch. And very aesthetically pleasing. ❤

I LOVE IT dayum, i use this like everyday 😅
Love it, can you make custom cases?
Wow.....perfection 👌
Love the design. But when I saw the misuse of the bearing I had to laugh 😆
What do an engineer in its boredom? An over engineered case for something that doesn’t need. Good work sir!
I like it!!!!

Чувак как у тебя так все здорово получилось 👍
I love how ingenious this design is. so little parts with so much functionality. Keep up the good work!

@@ThisIs3DPrinted ... You are Welcome bro...
Love the modularity. Do you list the hardware needed?
I have listed the hardware here: makerworld.com/models/1368601
Dude, why are you not using variable layer height and ironing. Your work will look so much better.
Why did you put a bearing in the holder? Heat resistance?
The spool is kinda genius
Amazing!
Love it
❤ Love the craft here!
❤️
By any chance have you checked the fitment of a TS100? Or are there different liners? This is absolutely perfect
I believe the TS100 also fits. You can find the print files here: makerworld.com/models/1368601

Good point. I was wondering the same thing

What is the gasket printed out of?

I'm curious about the font now. Which one did you use?
Отличная работа! Поделитесь пожалуйста STL 🚀✨👍
But who makes that cool micro tool set and case?
This is a very practical container for soldering accessories. I would also like the STL files for this beautiful project.

Very nice. Plenty of other box options on Bambulab.
fantastic work👍
Can I get an STL?
Anyone that solders a lot will know a wet sponge or paper towel is better that that copper scrubber for cleaning the iron tip.
Thanks!
Dude thats neat, I would buy that kitt
Very neat design!
