How Your Role Should Effect Your Loadout.

  • Brief video discussing how the current time and place, along with your role within that time and place, should dictate your loadout. Many want to jump into “it has to be a combat loadout” but many dont think critically past that.
    Also not mentioned in the video but as armor comes into play you generally have to decrease the amount or weight of other things carried in order to maintain a lower over all weight. So thats another factor to consider.

    Could you please make a video comparing in an ATV, a dirt bike, and a horse for shtf tactical mobility?

      Not really my wheel house. Ive talked about it on the podcast in the past though. In the end everything has trade offs. ATV/Dirt bike has high mobility, distance capability, and and field reparable; but they are loud and fuel dependent. Horses cant cover as much distance, can be injured, and have a mind of their own. However they are much quieter and can forage if need be on the environment for “fuel.” Going into an active fighting intent, needing to move casualties, etc? Id go with an ATV or bike. If im thinking post collapse mobility then a few horses is my choice.

    I have seriously been thinking lately of getting into drones. If they are going to use them against us, some of need to be able to use them against them . I personally think those of us around urban areas need to be more " greyman " than camo dudes .

      The cheap mini camera drones on eBay and Amazon can be really useful, the 4drc even shares images without internet connection. I have a couple, and at 20$ they can definitely change the battlefield for you.

    Nice well-thought out bit man. Very true, in a typical day to day situation, the equipment and general loadout is going to be starkly different than paramilitary type ops in the sticks.
    I suggest for the first loading of the rifle, use a set of coupled 30-rounders and then have 1 to 3 spare 30 or 40 rd. mags, less headache that way. I also have a backup/ 2nd mag for my pistol ccw/ edc and that suffices-- if you're getting into an extended gunfight in the day to day, something has gone very, very wrong and you need to get the F outta there.

    Great vid. For a me, as a loadout as police in a big city, I rock a glock (between 19 or 45) in a OWB Holster. I wear 5.11 jeans that have these perfectly placed pockets that I carry 1 spare mag and flash light. Lastly my star and cuffs clipped to my belt with everything under a cover(flannel or button-up). In my personal vehicle, I got my rifle setup with a coupled dual 30 mag. I have a go-bag with identifiers, radio, and cuffs with some more mods in the future.

    Let me suggest that you consider making a video detailing the different types of roles...
    Infantry
    Breach team
    Medic
    Comms
    Intel
    Construction/Engineer
    Etc.

    • @samculpepper7289
      @samculpepper7289  Рік тому

      Outside of my lane but ill talk with those more qualified and see what we can come up with.

    • @anferneefigueroa7635
      @anferneefigueroa7635 Рік тому

      Roles such as “breach team”, Medic, Intel, infantry, comms and such aren’t actual roles outside the military or an “organized militia”. Everyone is a medic, everyone should have the capabilities of saving someone’s life if it came to that point. If you are in a scenario that you’re “breaching” an infrastructure and you’re a civilian, you’re breaking a law and are now part of the problem. There are no Intel guys as Intel usually need certain hardware or ability to invade or break into certain places or things. The best piece of Intel we have is social media and GPS systems. Everyone plays a part on that. And lastly, infantry. There is no such thing. Everyone is a “infantry” in their own ways. We are the modern day minuteman and we all play a part in protecting our country if need be. Roles in the civilian sector are split up Less diverse than what you think. Typically into capabilities depending on the equipment you own and are open to. If someone has a larger household with land and open fields that would usually be your “fall back guy” or the person that holds most of the equipment in the case a scenario like “tyrannical government” would happen (which it could sometime soon) people with trucks, SUVs that have terrain capabilities fall into such category on transporting and such. Individuals with prior military/law enforcement or knowledge on tactics fall under the “training and/or instructing role”. Roles aren’t Call of Duty or Battlefield, where some guys are medics, infantry or whatever, it’s more of categories based on equipment and capabilities.

    • @philliplopez1501
      @philliplopez1501 Рік тому +1

      @anferneefigueroa7635 Respectfully, all of these roles exist outside of military and militia.
      Infantry=police
      Medic=EMT
      Engineer=Construction/Demolition
      Intel=drone operator/Linguist/investigator
      Breach team=fire department
      Etc.
      As to legality,...each is utilized legally in everyday society. It's not a stretch to see where these roles could easily be adapted to building a more capable team that might be utilized to save lives or protect communities. The topic is 2a and he did speak at length on "leadership".
      There was a lot more to your post. But, I hope I helped you be able to see those roles through a slightly different perspective.
      Phil

      @@philliplopez1501 Those aren’t roles. Those are jobs/occupations held by qualified personnel that are trained and hold that capability. By roles I thought you meant, as a civilian, if you are your friends are in a group, etc.
      Cops, Fire department, etc, they’re all support elements/specialty groups. Any of us can defend, and/or conduct arrests or stop an attacker/crime. Same with fire department within fires, breaking and entering, etc. they’re just a better equipped and trained group of individuals. I’m currently in the army. Can’t say what I do but I can definitely say one thing.
      What separates special forces and regular infantry is motivation and a tab. Any soldier can be special forces if they train and prepare accordingly. What separates civilians and soldiers? A uniform. We’re all capable of defending our country, now, I understand some aren’t and won’t, because they’re trash bags of a citizen, worthless and spoiled brats, but any good American citizen can protect our country. You see what I mean? Roles aren’t given because their skills or whatever, they’re given because of capabilities or to fill slots accordingly to better fit the group.

      @@philliplopez1501 I do understand what you mean and am all for it but we gotta make sense of it and see the reality in things. Police aren’t infantry, if anything, we the people are the infantry, all of us, willing to defend and support the constitution of America. To include Soldiers, Marines, etc and civilians as well. I’m just trying to clear it up a bit and help you see what I mean by “roles” vs “occupations”
