Not really, Alicia had Yosuke promise her to stop using memory erease on himself and others, Yosuke on the other hand "I don't want to be on a world where the majority of people keep treating me like a monster"
I really liked watching this anime and I can only recommend it. I hope there will be a 2nd season because it has so much potential and towards the end there was a hint of a sequel.
The lyrics sound really ominous when you think of the potential memories that oji-san has erased, hoped nothing horrible happened to the otherworld girls.
The most important spell from the whole series is the brainwash spell, the day ojisan remember and accept all events from the book is the end of the story. Hopefully it's not some crap like be mature and learn to accept tragedy, what's important is the journey not the destination. Really, even though I don't like that crap, but it's true sometimes. However, here, his whole "journey" is already crappy enough, if his destination is also a tragedy then ... At least, if not a happy ending, make something like an open end where ojisan decide to set on a journey to find (and save) the girls
The last line being 'dont forget' kinda makes me think of the truly horrible things the uncle had experienced which he wrote in the book before removing it from his memories, you can watch his memories, but some might never return
There's a theory that it's not because something traumatic happened, "Don't forget" it's more of a reminder to his resolve to return in his world. There was a point in the series where he was wondering how to get back in his world. Also you can see the chain as his attack's its also a reminder to refrain any feeling or emotions to stop his purpose.
0:28 Some mistranslations here... No matter what, (I) won't change/don't change Do not forget your goal/purpose (do not enter a state of (continual) forgetfulness of your purpose) 0:34 And again here, though it's somewhat corrected later in the song... Who decided (that) such a way of living (is) unusual!?
I think the lyrics are from the past and present of uncle like the “I believe in what I’ve done no reason to go back again” that is with the older uncle where he must have done something that he’s proud of or he’s lived his life in the other world where he has no need to go back, while the lyrics of “ trust yourself don’t be naïve” and “set me free end this game” is the times where uncle was somewhat new in the other world and due to his face being considered ugly like an orc he trusted no one and those were also the times he was depressed and wanted to be dead. I read the manga and things have gotten better for him, so if they ever do another op we may find out more on how both the young and old uncle feel about the other world
Why is this anime so fucking sad? He truly regrets leaving everyone and these 17 years behind especially since he can now see things from a different perspective but like the lyrics tell he tells himself that it was the right choice and his goal which he couldn't forget. Also Sui couldn't confess her feelings which she will now never be able to and like everyone else miss him. Even his ability is kind of sad since he wanted to understand others so he got his ability but he never let people near him and pushed them away because of his trust issues and therefore never tried to understand the people he loved.
Trust yourself by ice girl
Don't be naive by elf girl
Save yourself by hero girl
Don't forget by hero boys
DAMN
😮

I am pretty sure it's actually "don't deny" and not "don't be naive"
Oji-san is a good guy, I hope he can recover from the trauma and live peacefully with his family and friends.
and with his favorite console games
His friends literally Sega characters 😂
Yo was not expecting this op to go this hard absolute banger
another comedy isekai with a banger op is The Hero Is Overpowered But Cautious

I can imagine he half destroying the world so that he could go back to Earth...lol
Well... Op and ends theme are made on the basis of a summary of the history...
His memory viewing spell show everything, even erased memories, so well probably see what happened.
"Trust yourself. Don't be naive. Save yourself. Don't forget." - last words of the girls
