  • This is my OM 642 Mercedes sprinter van when I bought it the brake lines have been replaced and I needed to bleed the brake lines out but traditional bleeding would not work for me so I had to undo the fuse on the ABS so what you do is your turn the key on remove the fuse so that Ecm knows and it closes the circuit turn the key off and just do a normal procedure like he would any other vehicle works excellent now hope the video is helpful

Thank you Clay. Brake fluid is hygroscopic. The air on top of the fluid, inside the reservoir, contains humidity. Over the years of sitting in the reservoir, brake fluid absorbs some of that moisture in the air. I believe that is why brake fluid should be changed after a few years. This is why the internal abs valves get corroded over time. Have a blessed weekend.

Interesting that makes sense. Never really thought about it that way.
I’m gonna pin your comment because I might be wrong …. I’ve just never had any necessity to ever change brake fluid.

Great Funny Commentary How To as usual. John Moore, Acadia Ambulance, Abacus Plumbing all switched out their Sprinters for Fords here in Houston, TX. Our MB parking lot looked liked a used Sprinter lot due to all the break downs. I was the only Sprinter tech at the dealership.

Yeah, it’s a shame that government entities will not delete their own mistakes because what I found over the years of working on these these are exceptional except for the exceptionally terrible EPA requirements. It just didn’t work on these vans or I should say stay working and then they would nickel and dime you to death.

Clay for the love of peace can you PLEASE tell me where the blinker relay is on a 2012 ford escape, I had the whole steering column cover off most of the plastic around the gauges and the plastics underneath and I still could not find it. I could hear it and it sounded like it was behind the gauges. Please tell me before I go loco.

Well, if you can’t find it, I don’t know off the top of my head, but generally when you can’t find it, it’s inside the four-way switch. Hazard switch.
      Have you looked there?
