There is definitely no way this game is releasing in 2025 or 2026 definitely later than that
Why not? 2025 is optimistic but not impossible. Depends when the actual development began.
@@MatiZ815 Part 3 is going to be a next gen game or atleast similar to it. Even if development began last year, it will take atleast 4-5 years for the game to be built. The second game itself took 7 years to be out (agreed some blame lies with the COVID pandemic but still).
@@DragoN1O1 Why is everyone forgetting that between TLOU 1 & 2 Naughty Dog developed two other games? While some work surely took place before, the actual development on Part II began in 2016 after Uncharted 4 was finished and then ramped up to 100% in 2017 when the rest of the resources where moved from Lost Legacy. Neil talked about a 4 year development cycle for their games so if the actual production began in 2021/ 2022 then the release window of 2025/2026 for Part III is very possible.
Think about how long gta 6 has been in development. I bet tlou3 will take about as long, even if more linear. I bet the game will be as long or longer than pt2 so yeah, big chance it will timeschale to that too

And I am really not sure if they will bring back Ellie again. BECAUSE in the world of last of us the main Charakter has always to suffer (that’s how you give them a story) do we really need Ellie to suffer again?
In the end of part 2 we get a little Happy End for her…

You call that a happy ending?😂Her girl left her, Tommy hates her, and she lost a couple fingers inhibiting her from being able to play the guitar which connected her to Joel. In the end we watched a shell of Ellie walk away all alone... Literally the most depressing ending to the most depressing game ever made.

She forgave herself and her anger for Joel's death. Her connection to Joel wasn't the guitar, it's who she became because of him. She left her guilt behind and decided to finally pursue Dina and be with her.

@@BreadCatMarcus That's a positive interpretation of the ending you got there, but after 30+ hours of a sad story it would've been nice to have an ending that you don't need to be "a glass half full kind of guy" to leave the game on a positive note. As far as I'm aware the game ended with Ellie all alone, sure she got something akin to closure for Joel's death, but at what cost? Her biggest fear became her reality. Did she go to reconcile with Dina? I don't know, it's nice to believe that maybe, hopefully she did, but at the end of the day the game didn't confirm or even allude to that. During the game we're shown that playing the guitar brings Ellie comfort and is a way for her to connect with Joel. That was something positive they shared together...she looked pretty beat up about not being able to play properly.
@@breburke7286her biggest fear is not to end up alone. Her biggest fear is that she will be the last of us because she is the only one, since we know, that will not turn into a infected.
Also she is not alone. She is with Dina and JJ. If you play that game WITH AN OPEN HEART AND OPEN EYES, and pay attention to the details you will clearly see it. And just because she can’t play the guitar anymore does not mean she isn’t connected to Joel anymore. She has his weapon, his clothes, god damn that men raised her. While following Abby she slowly become more and more like him. But Joel is not only a good men, he found love again trough Ellie. Before that he did horrible things to survive.
In the end scene between Joel and Ellie, Joel tells her that he loves her and she should Dina love her too, because that’s what she deserves.
She didn’t kill Abby while remembering his words.
If she would have killed her, just to get it done, she would clearly end up alone you know. She did the right decision. She didn’t lost herself completely but found herself and her humanity again while she is drowning Abby.

Last scene at the game where she comes back to get the guitar. When paying attention you see on her right arm the bracelet from Dina. When she left Dina to get Abby she didn’t had the braclete on her nor in her backpack. That tells us that she must have seen Dina again before coming back to the farmhouse.
Also if you read hear diary you would see that she drew a scatch from Dina and JJ. There you see that Dina’s hair got longer and JJ a bit bigger than the last time she drew them. That tells us that she must have seen them when she returned. Also she wrote a poem (before drawing the scatch from Dina and JJ) where she is taking about herself, what she should do, if she can present herself like this to them again, she is afraid that Dina won’t take her back. And unter that peom she draws a new scatch of them, witch tells us, like I said before, that it’s a new scatch. So she saw them again.
Also, Dina misses her a lot. When Ellie goes in her room at the farmhouse you see the album “crooked list” on the guitar. This band and the songs are Ellie’s and Dina’s songs. (They play their song at the winter dance festival in Jackson where Dina kissed Ellie) so if you look up online witch songs are in the album you will see that the first song is “can’t you hear me calling” it’s a heart breaking text that is from Dina to Ellie. God damn, I love naughty dog for those details.
Dina means a lot to Ellie, but we don’t see that so clear in the game because Ellie is busy hating herself and Abby but if you pay attention she loves her a lot and is in love with her since many years (also can read it in the diary) also Dina loves her a lot. She went trough so much with her and yes, she would 100% take her back. She loves Ellie from the bottom of her heart.
I hope Abby will return and Ellie will bite off all Abby's fingers

Truth. It's sad that people who haven't even played it also talk crap on it. The internet is full of sheep.
To be fair, Part 2 was a thinking persons game, raising story telling in gaming to an entirely new level. It has so many complicated themes running through it that people are posting an entire analysis of it and giving their thoughts which opens the floor to major in depth discussion. The only problem there is that the vast majority of people are idiots and incapable of understanding such themes presented in the game. I wouldn't be surprised to see the studio dumbing down Part 3 for their customers.

i don't think it's crap but i didn't like it as much as i hoped. And i appreciate a well told story and always go out of my way for movies and media that try to do more than the basic with their storytelling and i thought this game is lacking and it's pace is annoying.
What you people who liked it need to understand is that you're no better than anyone because you like a fricking videogame, you're just more in line with the line of thought Druckman had for this game.

I'm not even going to start with the politics of it because it's far too big a conversation. It's a fact that practically all genres of the entertainment industry are a shadow of its former self. The glory days of high quality, well produced and original content are behind us. That doesn't mean it won't come back, but the way society is just now, it's highly doubtful it'll be any time soon. This has been widely recognized by many highly educated and intelligent people around the world. As I said, most people will find that content akin to TLOU2 simply goes right over their heads, mostly down to an ability to grasp such heavy concepts.

Not the storyline everyone wanted but it shows how brutal real life is and i thought it was amazing regardless.
i don't think it's dead, these are quality games. But it's a make or break game to decide which type of franchise they want it to be.

honestly half the clowns who said part2 was crap havent even played it & they piggy backed off the anti LGBTQ agenda off the gay themes. tbh I'm anti LGTBQ myself, and cant stand this gay woke crap being shoved down our throats constantly through games, music & movies. However, having said that, there was only one gay scene at the start, and the rest of the game was quite solid. The story was not 1 dimensional like part 1, it brought a new layer into it, making you understand abbey's upbringing and really put you in her shoes. to blur who was right & wrong. I think thats the second part people hate, is that joel died too early and its basically ellie's story this time & not joel's and they hate abbey & cant / dont want to relate to her becus she killed joel. understandable, but I think it was an amazing story with alot more layers & complexity than the first, and it needed to be! it couldnt just be another 1 dimensional story like the first, it needed to evolve & it did. keen to see where they take it for the 3rd
