    Got this working thank you! Using mac so I just used a internal loop (mac doesnt need loopMidi for anyone wondering)

      Yeah, loopmidi and RTPmidi are developed for windows to do what is already built into macos.

      I have a mac and was wondering what internal loop is. Is that build in the mac software

      @@BigRockRanch look for the Audio Midi app in utilities on a Mac. From there, look up in the menus for the network midi stuff. That's where you'll control all that.

    It seems that selecting miditimecode using virtual port was not possible a few months ago with 1.8. Only possible selecting Artnet timecode or using the MA Hardware midi interface. Is this new in 1.9? That is great. Using reaper to import beatmarks in MA2 using a plugin . Working great . Al times available in MA2 in list . Will convert then to MA3 because the timeline is modern .😊

    So for us mentally challenged people I’ve been an audio recording guy a long time . How do I translate this over for timecode for audio sync with video and lighting without a grandma $80000 console😊

    Hi,

      Without looking at all the settings, Itd be hard to say where it broke. Person on the discord was saying a similar thing. I had them follow back through and they found one of the settings didn't match. After that, it was working.
      A screencap of the various settings could help figure it out. Join the Event Lighting Discord and we can look at it there. I have a thread connected to the video. discord.gg/wP4s8fJJ

    Hi bro!
    I have a little question. Do you have any "drop" on the TC?? I have a problem with Reaper and MA3 usong MTC by LoopMidi I'm having drops in each 00 seconds 😖😖 Thank you so much!

    • @solusfides
      @solusfides  Рік тому

      Don't recall having much trouble with drop so far.

      In your video, at 07:47 when the TC goes to 00:00:00:00 you can see a little "drop" on them, that's what I'm talking about 😓 I have this problem in 00 seconds of every minute

    But if LoopBe is input, then connecting another Midi Device is impossible. You need some 'assistance' then. But what Software is best for that?

    • @solusfides
      @solusfides  Рік тому

      I'm afraid I couldn't say what's best, as the extent of my knowledge with this connection is just for timecode so far. There's a handful of programs that can work more as a central hub for midi and osc conversions and the like. That will depend on what sort of workflow you're after. One LD on discord mentioned Bome's MIDI Translator Pro as an option for building a rather elaborate controller rig. Showcockpit is another popular one. If you like building signal flows in a node-based setup, Chataigne and PD (Pure Data) can be pretty cool.

    Can you do this on Mac?

    • @solusfides
      @solusfides  2 місяці тому

      some of the things that loopmidi and rtpmidi do on windows are built to mimic what is built-in to the mac. so, I imagine it's already there. been a few years since mac was my daily-carry. So, I can't test it at the moment.
