    ABOUT US
Hi! We are high school sweethearts from Atlanta, Georgia who decided to take a year off to travel around the world. Together we decided to create vlogs for our journey as a fun way to remember it. On September 15, 2019, we left Atlanta with 3 bags, 2 one-way tickets, and 1 goal of traveling for a whole year. Little did we know, 6 months later we would find ourselves in a nationwide lockdown in India. After spending 5 months in India, we came back to the United States and decided to purchase a 34’ Trawler, dive headfirst into boat life, and kick-off America’s Great Loop.
The good, the bad, the ugly - and most importantly, the real and real funny. We’re not here to tell you “how it’s done.”, just how we’ve done it. And that whatever it is that’s calling you - the way you’ll do it is much more attainable than it may seem.
Thank you for following us along our journey!

I am sad to think that Pivot is sold now and you all are moving to the next adventure. Thanks for still putting the time in to complete the videos. I keep looking and no one matches your quality and watch-ability. Showing my wife your vids is really helpful, I have much more foul weather tolerance than her, and how you both agree on conditions before cruising is simple and clear. We’re adopting it. Really enjoy your product.

Interesting perspective of your cruise on the Cumberland River. Very enjoyable. I cruised the TN River years ago. Now based out of Ft. Loudon Lake, I have new curiosity of making a cruise on the Cumberland River. Safe travels!

It was interesting to see the old Confederate Ft Donelson go by as you ascended the Cumberland. In my opinion, the loss of Ft Donelson was the beginning of the eventual loss of the war for the Confederacy as it destroyed the South's ability to move large amounts of materiel from West to East. It was also the battle where U.S. Grant earned the nickname "Unconditional Surrender Grant."

I grew up on Land Between the Lakes. My family has a place there and I just bought a waverunner. Looking to go from KY lake to Nashville this summer! Nice video.

Nice! We highly recommend that side trip, its not too long but very pretty. I wonder how the locks would be in a Waverunner - there is a guy who did the entire loop in a jet ski last year, so definitely doable. Hope you have fun!

Another tip for you guys to watch for.. look to the tree tops wherever you are. If they're moving with the wind the water will be choppy accordingly. If the tree tops are bending in the wind the water will have some good chop and rollers.
... plus...Boy in this clip you guys are in some awesome fossil bearing and native American artifacts area.. personally if it was me i would be stopping a lot and hunting beaches. It's a passion of mine👍

You guys are doing a great job. If you ever get back to the Mississippi River. I regularly cruise Pool 24 & nearby. I would love to show you some good anchorages in our home waters. I have been charting some uncharted areas since I have a transducer connected to Navionics.

What kind of heating system do you have aboard Pivot, for those cold nights? Opening up the hatches for Linda to keep you warm? Bet you will be glad to get back to Florida, where it will be somewhat warmer (although when I lived in Tampa back in the '70s, it snowed for the first time in, like, 30 years).

You need some type of heater. It has snowed in Key West, Florida. I've lived at Apollo Beach, Aberdeen, & Port St. John, Florida... Texas & Louisiana. It does get cold. Thank God I have HVAC on my cruiser. 🦜

I was wondering if I could get there by boat from the upper peninsula of Michigan. Love your content. Also, there has to be something near St. louis Arch. I know they have a couple of river boats there.

There is not much at St Louis except a lot of tow boat traffic. The pools upstream are nice, though. I do a lot of boating on pool 24, which is between L&D 22 and 24. We have a few videos on our channel.
