OMG! Life is Strange ❤️❤️❤️ 5:47 when I start hearing the song Home by Gabriel Aplin, I teared up because it's one of my favorite song! I love this so much, the music, the voice acting, the writing and the graphics are so good! I'm glad that you are playing it early and you're the first one I've watched.
I romanced Steph and don’t regret it for a second, but kudos to True Colors for finally introducing a male love interest to the series who doesn’t make me want to buy the protagonist a 10-foot pole.
Ryan is such a delight, I'm glad that there are actually people who like him :)
They are both great but I don't feel them as great romance so far.

I knew I would not want to play this game solely because of what it touches on. I was in foster care for only a year, thankfully, and I feel emotions very strongly (hard to explain but it does seem to happen. I can't imagine what it's like being in the system for so long WHILE feeling those emotions. It's horrifying to even consider. Thank you for having this because I've cried at least 3 times this video alone xD

i think it explained in one of the trailers that the stronger the emotion the more likely it is that Alex can get taken over by it. she is basically an Empath...someone who can understand people through their emotions. but emotions can overwhelm people...so if someone is really angry around her she gets taken over by it i guess...it might explain her past behaviour of avoiding or blocking some people on her phone.
Blocking people on her phone doesn't have to do with it though. That's just because they are dorks or she simply doesn't wanna have to do with them anymore (like the Doc and Isaac especially). But it will become clearer with more messages later on.
@@darthgregor9232 didn't say it has to...just said it MIGHT. i mean those situations on the phone seem to imply she gets into situations that emotionally stress her out so she blocks the person to avoid more problems...but this is only my theory. i mean look at the texts about the boy...seemed like she was in a decent relationship with him but then something went wrong and when he kept pushing she blocked him.
@@IDyce88 Well he got her drunk and had sex, she said she did not want to any more and when she needed a place to sleep, he kept pestering her for sex if she wanted to sleep over...pretty normal reaction in my opinion to block such a douche, doesnt matter that he was playing a nice guy before.
The emotions taking over is something different here in the game, only happening when the person is near around her. She herself actually is burying her own emotions. But I recommend to just play it, its worth it.
@@darthgregor9232 yes all that is valid but i'm more wondering if perhaps the sex went bad for her not because she didn't like him or was drunk but because she can't appreciate it because she links too much emotionally with someone when she does that. just a theory. so she blocked him because she was trying to avoid conversations about what happened as well. if it only happened with the boyfriend i would agree but she also blocked the doctor and that other girl...so

That was SUCH a great way to introduce us to the up-and-down side of Alex's power. And, y'know, her life story as well. For some kids, fosters and group homes have the same effect as for people that been in and out of prison, you have to be hard and assertive to survive and that doesn't always make for easy transitions back into the "normal" world
Plus, first sign that Erika Mori's performance was going to be legendary.
You're not wrong, she *does* read their minds. it's kinda funny to me that they focus on the empathy and bury the lede that she's at least partially telepathic as well, which is Kind of a Big Deal

So far, I don't really know what to think about our protagonist. I'm pretty sure her emotional stability is all over the place, considering she is literally picking up other people's moods. Can't be healthy for anyone in the long term. Imagine being in a relationship (romantic or otherwise) where you simply absorb the emotions of your partner. Sure, if everyone is happy, it's great. But if you argue? Yikes!
Maybe this is why she is into music so much? It's a way to experience other people's state of mind without getting "the feels" from it.
To be fair, all those musical references were completely lost on me. I knew who Celine Dion is, for what it's worth...
Also, the more wholesome scenes we get, the more worried I am. We've been through this before. For every "let's hang out with Chloe and test our powers" we got the "Katie jumps off the rooftop" scene.

Playing Steph's story now. Me and my hubby play. Life is strange 2 is my favorite and it's weird that I just started playing all these games a few months ago where the dad's keep dying. And then. My dad died :(. Buried him less than a week ago.

Hey Katie, its been a while huh, hope you're doing well and happy. Still remember the og LiS playthrough, man feels like ages ago. I don't watch many playthroughs anymore but these choice based games are an exception, so im in for this one, itll be fun to see how different it is from my playthrough, i do remember LiS games are not that deep when it comes to different outcomes, hopefully this one is. BTW have you played de Mass Effect trilogy? also a choice based game, if you havent the remaster came out recently and it has a pretty damn big fanbase, maybe cosider doing a playthrough, the ME fandom is always happy to see a new playthrough.

Hi Katie! I think It is the 1st time I finished a LIS before you could! :D I began last week-end and finished yesterday night! Great game! A bit shorter than the others. Alex is so cute you just want to hug her in your arms forever! I have to say I felt in love (Alex I mean!) with Steph the minute I saw her dancing in the radio studio room! This was the obvious choice of romance for me. Ryan is cool (I have the same job and I'm a birdwatcher IRL :D so he speaks to me!...not as hot as him of course! bref....) but Alex and Steph have so many things in common. I loved their relation.

I doubt it, most people quit after the second episode (because it’s trash). I even quit after it, but episode 3-5 are actually really good I wish ppl would give it a shot

@@TK_Trickster it’s not trash lol. You just like the first game because you’re an emo cringey dialogues loving quirky individual. LIS2 had better dialogues, better environment and good decisions making gameplay compared to the first game but the game also has flaws. But LIS2 had more flaws.

i'm seeing a pattern emerging in her texting...it's like she gets involved with someone and then things go wrong and then blocks them...hmmmm
the girl in the record store is Steph...as in the same Steph who was in LIS Before the Storm...you know...who was friends with Chloe and fancied Rachel. Steph the lesbian redhead chick. she is awesome. we knew fairly early on she was one of the only LIS characters that would be appearing in True Colors.
that choice with Gabe n Ethan (just IMO) sounds like a damned if you do damned if you don't situation...LIS doesn't so much give you choices...not always...as it does alter perspectives of the characters based ON your choices. i think (bearing in mind i have no idea) if we tell Gabe the truth he will try to save Ethan n something will happen to him. if we don't Gabe will find out somehow and he will still disappear. this is more about HOW than IF.

After Life is Strange 2 heavy handedness I am quite suspicious of these Game developers.
I am watching to see you Katie, but if it gets to be too much I am out.
I am an empath, it is the reason why I love watching reaction channels because I get to feel all of the emotions of the reactors. I don't like how this game is portraying the trait.
The way this game is showing being an empath is a way it happens for some people but it is not a healthy way, letting it be a way to play as a victim of something happening to you. That mentality is never the healthy way to go.
The main character could have walked out of the record store for a bit if the anger was getting to her that bad. Admittedly, it mega sucks when you are around a toxic personality. An example of a person I would mean by that would be the Therapist. The Therapist had a position of power over her and was forcing uncomfortable responses out of her on purpose. Blocking her likely felt like such a relief.
As for the boyfriend beating up on the main characters brother: Being angry at someone who had sex with your girlfriend is righteous anger. The bother seemed like he was just taking it. This implies maybe he felt guilty and there indeed was something going on. Even afterwards as the brother walked away from his sister, something seemed off with his interaction.
Even so, fighting back to the assault on the brother, is justified for the main character to have done. As for the "super strength" I thing she was just pumped up on adrenaline matched be a by of shock and surprise that the guy did not expect the sister to start beating on him, so she got a few really good punches in to start with.
I am hoping the main character learns to be in control of her traits and adapt to society in an empowering manner. I am hoping the game does not turn it into a "poor me" circus and fill it with cringe retaliations that go way beyond what should be morally acceptable.
