Came the loving mandate, "Now let there be light."
Through the rosy pathway of the morning bright,
With a gentle coming floats the tender light.
Father, for the dawning, grateful thanks we raise;
For Thy countless blessings, songs of joyous praise.
Let a light far brighter than the sunbeam's ray
Gild our lives with glory 'till the perfect day.
