And I greatly agree with you as far as story goes. Everyone thinks they all have to be full of twists and turns and what kills me is that most people point to AoT which is the most popular trash story of all time. The writing is all over the place but I get why people like it. Sometimes simpler is easier and also just better.

Nah not really Demon Slayer is very complex, there's lots of symbolism and there's tons of theories and predications to be made. The story, characters and themes are very multilayered, and the story leaves a lot of hints and setup for analysis that tells you a lot beforehand. There's so much to dissect about all the characters before we really learn about them, story too, heck you can even predict the exact fight matchups in future seasons because of how well everything is established and the parallels that are included between all the characters in every fight.
