These poor kids have been through so much. I hope they are getting the support they need. The Director seems like she really cares. Brava to Kathy and the volunteers.
She is crying because she doesn't get the thousands of dollars each child brings to her pocket. It is child trafficking.
So grateful for Kathy and her contacts. She's a marvel and a wonder! She and her team mate risked all to go to my son's side and be with him when he was wounded.
I know her personally and knew of the story long before this video.
Kathy is in it for the money. 'Christian Adoption Agencies' make BIG money off of this.
Child trafficking is big money in Ukraine. They sell babies and children for profit. It has been big business for over two decades there. Russia banned international adoption because they saw it for what it is - child trafficking. Ukraine has been the most corrupt and unethical country in europe for a long time already. When I think about all the pain and carnage that Putin’s war has caused…I simply feel weepy! How can this happen from a Country that should be part of the influencing powers? I just think Ukraine and Russia should get along . I don't want my countries money being spent on this . I don't want my taxes spent on people who don't care about my country . And we have nothing in common with Ukraine people. Russia and Ukraine are more closely related then us Americans
The US asked Ukraine to give up its nukes and signed a memorandum in 1993 that in exchange, it would defend it. Having a nuclear armed Ukraine would have posed a very serious danger to the world including to the US. A nuke exchange between Ukraine and Russia would create some serious fallout.
Ukraine, as a result, stopped being a nuclear power. Now, when Russia attacked, the US is keeping its end of the bargain. At least by supplying it with weapons.
The war is happening on NATO borders, and the US is a member of NATO, thus, it is interested that it does not bleed over into its territory.
In addition, if Putin wins, he may invade Poland, the Baltics, Finland etc. Some Russian politicians want Alaska back, too.
And Ukrainians do care about the US. They love it. Their community in the US is some 1 million. All very good citizens.
But asking Russia and Ukraine to get along is like asking a wolf and a baby sheep to get along, or asking a hungry tom-cat to get along with a little mouse. They should, but they usually don't.
