  • US Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick tells VOA’s Peter Clottey that her vision is for the U.S to support Haiti's lead as it charts its own path forward towards peace, stability and economic development. She is the first Democrat member of Congress of Haitian descent with a large Haitian American constituency. She also talks about the renewal of the African Growth and Opportunities Act which expires next year.
