I may be wrong, the guitar playing with fingers on "पर्दे" and strings plucked by the fingers of other hand/plucker is possibly termed as "Spanish" Method of playing guitar; the other method of playing guitar with "Small Heavy Rod" ( like "Mohan-Veena" popularly played by Pdt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and in past by Sardar Hazard Singh) is Hawaiian Style of playing an acoustic guitar.
