With these units that have actuators to move the legs, it would not be able to move out of the way. If it is a Quantum or Permobil without leg or seat functions, you would be able to put legs on it that swing out of the way. The footrest on these units do flip up which allows you to use something in its place so that may be an option.
I currently have a permobilele M3 and an MP5 from hoverround. I find the seat on the permobile extremely uncomfortable. I'm 5 foot 2 and I can't really get that chair low enough to be comfortable unfortunately. Also I was talk into the midwheel drive where where the hoveround is front wheel drive. I find the midwheel drive due to the caster wheels in front very jiggly and harder to control in smaller spaces. I was wondering if the stretto is that front wheel drive is smaller and a nicer seat than Permobile?
The Stretto is smaller width and may work better for you but they are mid wheel drive as well. Im leaving a link below to the Stretto's we have in stock. marcsmobility.com/catalogsearch/result?q=stretto
Thank you for your quick reply. I would also need to know the seat to floor height. Because I need the lowest. I can possibly get since I'm only 5 foot 1.9 Wish you had that info on all of the different chairs.Thank you.
We would have to know the model that you are looking at to tell you the seat to floor height. Let me know the exact model you are looing at and I can get that measurement for you.
Thanks, a question about battery life. The Quantum chair in your video has "deep cycle" marine batteries (correct me if I'm wrong). I've heard conflicting advice about charging frequency... Some say to discharge deep cycle batteries as much as possible between charging; others say to charge the batteries after every time the chair is used. Which charging frequency is preferable when it comes to maximizing the life of deep cycle batteries?
@@Marcsmobility I always keep my quantum plugged in when not using. Batteries lasted 4 years!!! Battery places say not to do that because they want to sell you batteries in less time.
@@Marcsmobility I currently have the Permobile M3 and I am in the office alot. Is it it possible to navigate the M5 in tight spaces and does insurance generally cover it?
The M3 is a mid wheel drive unit and will be able to navigate in small areas better than a front or read wheel drive unit. About the insurance, we wouldn't know because we do not bill insurance. You would have to contact a mobility store that does take insurance and ask them. Sorry I wasn't able to answer that part of your question.
Give us a call at 800-677-6293 and we can talk about what you are interested in, ask you some questions and narrow down the unit that would work best for you and your needs.
Do either of these chairs have the ability to move the leg/foot supports out of the way in order to use a pedal type leg exerciser?🤔

It is best to drain those down past 50% and then recharge, now I would not recommend leaving them on a low charge for a long period of time.

What's the fastest/most durable chair?
the M5 and F5 are going to be the fastest and most durable
