    Agree with the others. Would have been much more useful to show how to clean/replace the filter.

    Hello, I have a problem, I have a Peugeot Speedfight 1 100cc that recently seized up/heat seized. It was not tuned. I then changed the cylinder, piston etc. It now starts up right away, but after a while it dies all of a sudden (as if you had turned off the key) and then I can start it right up again, this usually happens when I go over 60 km/h or uphill.
    When I changed the cylinder etc, I also cleaned everything thoroughly, such as the carburettor, intake, new air filter, new fuel filter (there was no fuel filter before) new spark plug. I also removed the oil pump and put a metalplate with a gasket over the hole instead, I now mix the oil directly into the gasoline.
    Some other info that might be important.
    - When I drive over 60 km/h, it starts to make a noise from the variator (CVT), it´s sounds quite a lot.
    - When it died, I tried to start it again while it was rolling and then it started right away, but it made a noise from the variator, like something "let go" that had been seized up, like a rubber sound, maybe from the belt.
    - The variator belt touches the variator cover on the inside and has grinded a cut in the metal.
    - In the variator, where the weights are, the belt does not go down to the bottom of the wheel.
    - The clutch bell had turned blue from the heat.
    - The place where the connecting rod attaches to the crankshaft had turned blue from heat.
    - There was no fuel filter on it before. But i now saw there is an internal fuel filter in the gastank, can it affect the vacuum if you now have 2 fuel filters.
    Please help me.
    Regards
    Andree.

    Hello, if you have had such a case, the craftsman told me that he knows it often and it is not a defect and it is not a problem.
    I have a sym xpro 50cc air filter to clean it and the plasma in which sits the plasma that is attached to the scooter and joins the rubber hose coming out of the carburetor came out gasoline viscous both in the hose and in this plasma not much, the filter is clean.

      I doubt it, I would advise you to check for spark, the spark plug is located on the cylinder head, try to take take the spark plug cable off the plug and screw it off, then reinsert the spark plug into the cable and attempt to start the scooter while holding the threads of the spark plug against the frame of the bike, if there are normal sparks for every stroke, you know you have spark, if not you will see little to no sparks. If there is spark then you can check for compression by using the Kickstarter, if there is resistance when you press, and you can hear the cylinder head moving you should have compression, if you don't it will be super easy to kick
      If there is no spark, try replacing the spark plug and checking again, and if there is no compression it may be part of a bigger problem, if you're not mechanically inclined I would recommend going down to a service center, also do the same if replacing the spark plug doesn't help, as it may indicate another electrical failure

    If you're going to go to the trouble of removing the cover and showing how to check for a dirty Air Filter you might at least also include showing how to clean it using a dirty example. Crystal clear video (hence Thumbs Up) but way too "Special School" simple.

    Thanks for the video sir. I have a suzuki burgman 250 (2001). At a low revs, sometimes I hear a loud rattle from the transmission. My dealer/mechanic tells me that it's common with burgmans in general (dry clutch). And fixing it only stops it temporarily because it eventually comes back. In your experience, is this the case, or would you know a permanent solution to this problem? Having said that, it does not affect the running of the bike at all. Just the that unpleasant noise.

    never quite seen a filter like that most of what I see in that style box at paper filters the size of the black plastic thing around the filter. my self I ripped the filter box off and installed a cheap coin filter better air flow more speed. warning tho some bikes require carbrator rejetting.

    Hello from Turkey. I have yamaha xmax 250cc scooter. While i am changing oil, i used MOTUL 4T 10w40 mineral yağ. Problem is Everybody says use syentetic or half syentetic oil. So sould i change it

    • @hazama9853
      @hazama9853 6 років тому

      not exactly an expert but full synthetic lasts longer, and no you should not change that oil so quickly, regular oil lasts about 3 months on cars so you're good for about a month and a half

    Fuck cleaning a dirty filter. For like 10-15 quid (15-20 bucks) just replace it with a brand new one

  • @jamesdexter7481
    @jamesdexter7481 Рік тому

    NOOOOOOO......the screws are self tapping and the housing is plastic, undoing it is ok with an electric tool but re fitting it you MUST use a handheld screwdriver, put the screw into the hole and turn anticlockwise as if undoing it until you feel a click as the screw drops into the previously cut thread the screw made, not doing this will result in difficulty doing it up as you will be cutting a new thread into the plastic and it will feel very tight, doing it the wrong way will cause the thread to dissappear meaning the screw wont tighten and will be loose. These SYM filters are not designed to be cleaned, one side has a non removable metal mesh and the other a thin foam covering the corrugated paper element just like the ones on cars which are also just meant to be thrown away. Some scoots and motorcycles have a foam reuseale air filter that you wash out then re oil in the way you might wash out a cloth with water and then squeeze most out leaving it damp. Most scooter air filters have aftermarket patterns ones that are much cheaper than the original ones £10/$10 instead of £20/$20 and are just as good.

    º.º Another one does it, not; i don't think i'd let you touch my scooter if i saw that; you did it, but took a big risk
    hint: ever heard about a drill clutch? and **IF** you do not check its setting JUST BEFORE tightening them screws,i No Want.
    You MISS the BEAUTY OF THE DRILL CLUTCH,it is a GEM;
    Well, some are still too strong on their lowest setting avoid those , NO buy
