The studio didn't pro-actively shelve Affleck's Batman film. They were DYING for him to do it. Affleck in that role was one of the few things in the DCEU that the public was actually enthusiastic about, but Affleck walked away from it to deal with other things going on in his life. There was a TON of drama going on behind the scenes surrounding that film that the public was never told about.
@91MoonKnight Nobody wanted that, though. Ben Affleck is one of the shittiest Batmans ever. Although Pattinson is equally as horrible. There's never been a single comic-accurate live-action Batman in any big budget movies, but Batleck is probably third to the bottom, with only Clooney and Kilmer being worse.
I've learned to manage expectations so I'm not putting much stock in Gunn's DCU or any rumors connected to it. One red flag for me is the involvement of Tom King, who is infamous among the comic fans for his Batman run.
@@RaulMéndez-s9n I honestly don't know how good DC's working relationship is with Paul Dini. He's been praiseworthy of media that wasn't terribly kind to Harley Quinn (his best-known creation), but I can't imagine he's happy with the current state of affairs and I haven't seen a single comic with his name on it in a long while.
Best case scenario, it's force awakens. Worst case scenario gladiator 2, transformers one or the Homer Simpson car that bankrupted his brother's company. 😂
My initial thought of the trailer is that: a) this is not a Superman movie, it's a Superfriends (if you know what I'm alluding to) movie, and b) Gunn is making the same mistake all over again with the Snyderverse, only with a brighter color palette. Mind you, I didn't hate the darker tone of Man of Steel. But I wasn't too keen on it either. I only wish Snyder had the chance to complete his vision of the universe. But since this is supposedly a fresh start, I'm a bit anxious that this doesn't seem too "fresh" at all. I guess we just have to wait and see.
@@2012sonora It was really Zod Man of Steel. Brought to earth for his greatest mission: to re-establish Krypton and her people. He shouts to the traitorous son that he is not s monster but Krypton, his people, matter more than the people of earth. When he could not accomplish his task, he forces Superman to kill him. I though it was the best rendition of Zod I had ever seen...the leader of a failed invasion, whose love for his people give him no choice but to clear the earth. If Snyder had brought us Superman, Man of Steel, we wouldn't be here waiting for Gunn's Super Friends.
I actually think had Gunn just openly made a Superfriends movie, the general public would be more hyped. All the talk would be, "Who will play the Wonder Twins". Superman plays the straight character.
I think that Gunn and Safran have been doing a terrible job selling this universe. Announcing all of those projects and starting their DCU with Creatures Commandos was underwhelming. Not to mention that he is keeping his stuff from the old DCEU in an ego driven move. I hope that the Superman movie turns out good, but I'd keep my expectations to the minimum.
I agree. All of this is confusing to non comic-book fans and underwhelming to people who actually know the source material. The DCAU got a shared universe right in the 90s; how can a movie studio with over ten billion dollars put into these movies still not get this right after 12 years?
Watched Superman 1 & 2 this Christmas, DC would be better off remastering that into HD and re-releasing it in Cinemas. It's just all round better than anything they could possibly produce today.
I keep thinking that about many movies that Hollywood put out int he past. Especially with updated CGI and AI now, I WOULD like to see certain films with improved sfx/vfx scenes. They might make more money than the flops they keep churning out...Good luck to the DCU though.
I've also rewatched first two Superman films, they are better and still hold up. Pudgy faced supposed Gunn's Superman doesn't hold a candle to the chiseled C. Reeve or H. Cavill. At this point, I'm only surprised they didn't use Hollyweird's favourite, Pedro Pascal.
@@xisigmaMarvel sucks they were always inferior to DC! There wouldn't even be what's left of the MCU if DC didn't start it all with Superman The Movie.
I have said the following two things multiple times and I'll say them again. 1. While I think Gunn's Superman will be good, it has to be great to save DC movie wise. 2. Gunn's Superman comes out the week after Jurassic World: Rebirth does. If Superman doesn't decisively beat that movie, both it and the superhero movie genre are done for.
The superman trailer is the most viewed trailer in DC history... So can you people touch grass with there being no intrest??? And with you people believing that those rumors are apperantly true 😭😭😭
After this initiative fails, WB will do another Batman movie or two and then the main DC characters will start going into the public domain in 2034. By 2037, the entire original Justice League/Justice Society will be public domain.
@@daniellove162 Just remember that you have to abide by what Golden Age stories will actually be public domain. IE: Superman didn't fly until 5 years after being made. And most of Batman's rouge's didn't appear until a year after he premiered.
So you never saw Star Wars ep 4 to 6? Is the luke story and the other characters fullfill the plot, is not that difficult to understand a side character. Or Hawkeye having a minor scene in Thor throw you off the main plot?
Never forget. Gunn said that The Flash was the greatest super hero movie he has ever seen. 🙄. So. How does anyone think anything he says is true. The guy is JJ Abram’s light. He messed up suicide squad and Guardians of the Galaxy. He just is not any good.
You must be super slow. What’s he supposed to say? “The movie sucked”? Comparing him to JJ Abrams just shows your biases and, again, slowness. The Suicide Squad was a success, and praised by fans, and so were all 3 Guardian movies. All 3 were both commercially successful and hailed as great by the fans. He was one of the main architects behind the first 3 phases of the MCU. Not to mention Peacemaker was one of the best shows of 2022. The man knows comic books, and what he is doing behind the camera. Some of the people that watch this channel, like yourself, are so bitter and just want to crap on everything, and claim everything is garbage.
From the trailer alone, it was clear the story was going to be HORRIBLY cluttered, shoving far too much into one film. That never bodes well when there's no clue as to the story, and just a ton of disconnected images.
I have thought deeply about this for many years and I have finally come to a conclusion: The DC people at WB are all idiots. Batman is their single biggest/most popular character. How hard can it be for them to figure out what they need to do?
They discounted the people who know these characters the best. The fact they don’t reach out to the animated writers at least to consult angers me. It’s like they hate ppl who’ve been consistently been making successful properties
The problem has always been Warner Brothers themselves continuing to interfere with the creatives. The best DC films are when the director has the balls to tell WB where to go so that they can actually complete their vision without interference. The last person to accomplish that was Christopher Nolan.

@6:43 Absolutely right. The Damien Wayne nonsense was the wrong direction to go in the comic books. If the next Batman is to include Robin, then it has to be Dick Grayson, youthful ward of wealthy philanthropist Bruce Wayne.
A Cinematic Universe for GotG would just be the Galactic Marvel Universe, which had it's own incredible cross-over epic in the naughts called The Annihilation Wave.
I really didn't care for the Batman movie it was too long and bored me at points. I don't think they should make another Batman movie, and this Superman movie looks like a child's movie. They should've never used James Gunn and never got rid of henry cavil. He was a perfect Superman.

One thing I noticed about the Supes trailer, this feels like the weakest Superman I have ever seen. Never mind the scene where he crashed on the ice and was really beaten up. He could be fighting some really exceptional enemy. But in the trailer, every single time he engages with someone or something, it looks like he always needs an imodium. I would have preferred some appearance of proportional effort since it can't be possible that pushing some metal thing away from him has the same difficulty as being charged by some guy. Heck, I'm surprised he didn't do the imodium face when a guy threw a can on his head.
People have been complaining for years superman is boring becuase he's indestructible, making him a bit more vulnerable answers that criticism and add stakes. You can't possibly complain about that.
I doubt it. Man of Steel was only moderately well received, amd they took that as confirmation that they should go on for 10 years. Wasting everyone's time and money. This movie will likely be treated the same.

Superman looks fun but I have a hard time believing it'll be a billion dollar hit. The damage done by the snyderverse will cast a long shadow over DC especially after the string of awful DC films the last few years. MCU going to sh1t hasn't helped either. Superhero movies are tainted.
Snyder didn't do any damage. WB meddled with the directors work and vision. They kicked Snyder aside and had Whedon do reshoots and such and the theatrical version was Doo Doo. Snyder, Nolan, Ayer, and Affleck would have been the dream team of Directors for the DCEU had WB just allowed them to cook. Zack Snyder's Justice League was epic. Man Of Steel was epic. BvS Ultimate Edition was great! First Aquaman and Wonder Woman were great ...WB meddling is what ruins things. Just like what they did to Richard Donner.
@@comixof2morrow Most people didn't seem too impressed with Snyders vision. I know it has passionate fans but they aren't numerous. General audiences found them boring and dull.
It’s deep enough to work but they have to be really smart about it because the spider verse villain stuff failed miserably. They have to bring out more heroes than Batman for that to work like robin, bat girl, red hood and all these other heroes that exist in Batman’s universe, Batman beyond and have anti heroes etc you saw how making a movie without spider man isn’t going to work. Also could have major villains fighting each other and maybe that works better like morbius vs kraven and not have separate movies
I'm generally not a James Gunn fan. And DC completely destroyed the franchise for me with Batman v Superman. It was stupid to cast Ben Affleck and, later, Ezra Miller. Don't even get me started on that stupid "The Batman". And when I saw the Sad Emo Superman, I knew it would be garbage. Again, DC has lost all credibility of being able to do squat with the franchise. As far as I'm concerned, the last good Batman was the Black Knight trilogy, and that last good Superman was Man of Steel and, to a lesser extent, Superman & Lois. Anything else from DC was just crap. Yes, I want to see the new Superman movie bomb, and they need to go back and look at what was RIGHT about Black Knight and Man of Steel.
I was concerned when Affleck was cast as BatMan. But. I fell he was the most complete BatMan of anyone who has ever played that role. Never thought I’d say that.
People who think Ben fcking Affleck is a non-awful version of Batman are the same people who unironically liked the Snyderverse. I know people are entitled to their opinions and all, but _Ben Affleck?!_ Are you kidding me? There is no defending that. He's as shtty as George Clooney, but at least Batman and Robin was a comedy. Henry Cavill is god-tier casting and then they do the polar opposite with Ben Affleck as Batman. Might as well as used Lizzo; its the same level of "WTF were you thinking?"
( 8:18 ) I gotta press back on that. This man is another potential bob iger. He’s got a similar mentality with him being a streaming monger. If DC somehow makes a successful film series this man could see it ruined by his own service being put first
Personally, I haven't seen anything in the new Supes trailers or leaks that get me hyped. It looks ok, but feels very average quality. I'm open to being surprised with this film. Pattinson Bats was solid, but again, felt just ok. No hype was generated for me. Not sure I care about a sequel. I love superhero films, but in recent years most have been substandard films. Zaslav should never have hired James Gunn, he did a job with Guardians of the Galaxy compared to Amazon's Rings of Power, he changed everything and only kept the names, of course normies will find it interesting but all the wealth created in the 80s and 90s in comics was left aside because Gunn doesn't know how to write and direct showing what the characters could do in the comics, Pacemaker was a disaster along with Suicide Squad 2 and both were a commercial failure and even so Zaslav gave the presidency of the DCU to James Gunn, very suspicious. Warner values DC characters and only hires directors, producers and artists who love the source.
@peterthowsandho3198 James Gunn planned out the entire Infinity Saga in early phase 2 of Marvel. Gunn has talent. He's also a massive narcissist and likes to co-opt C and D tier characters in order to exploit merchandise off them, but he has talent. The issue is, Gunn shouldn't be handling heavyweights like Superman and Batman. Let him make his stupid Creature Commandos, Mister Terrific and Hawkgirl movies, but he's already messing up Superman and Batman as we speak.
The Batman wasn't that great. It was ok....that being said, is it worth the studio dropping 200 million for TBM 2? May as well put The Batman universe on max.
I DON'T TRUST GUNN. PERIOD. I don't trust his understanding of Superman OR the DCU. That suit he wears will forever be a deal breaker for me. What also doesn't help his cause is this: HENRY CAVILL WAS A ONCE IN A GENERATION CASTING. So much so that even people like ME who hated his films still believed he was an IDEAL SUPERMAN. This film seems to make all the wrong choices when it comes to the main character and it's over-stuffed with supporting characters.
There are MANY scenes in the trailer where this new guy reminds me of Cavill SO MUCH, that it I kept pointing and saying 'Look! Henry!' and everyone in the room with me nodded their agreement. Kicking Cavill out of the role was brain-dead retarded.
Creature Commandos is aggressively "fine". It falls into all the same tired tropes of every "adult" animated show post-Rick and Morty, but it does it job of being entertaining and interesting just well enough to keep me watching.
Yeah, I haven't seen that, but I did see guardians 3, and it was terrible. Could have been good, but I think they let Gunn have too much freedom. It seems like that's what DC is doing, so the suck will continue .
The Batman is a Terrible Movie that should of never got made. It's Boring, they took Catwoman's theme from Batman Returns and used it for The Batman. At times I felt like I was watching Seven and Saw. Robert Patterson was Batman all of the time when playing Bruce Wayne he never seemed to understand that he doesn't have to do the Bat voice when he's Bruce Wayne. The issue with the movie just going on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. An yes The Batman barely made a profit is another issue because most people after seeing it didn't want to waste another 3 hours of their life watching a boring movie that goes on and on and on and on and on. Matt Reeves could of taken some notes from Christopher Nolan on how to make a Good Batman movie.
Here's my opinion for you my friend. The Superman trailer is enough to evaluate the whole DC project. The aesthetic of the film is stylized, and there is a clear desire to present in movie a clean world that no longer exists. The aesthetic of the Superman movie slips into childrens channel tv show, gentrified and refined to the point of having no "smell or taste". Imagine eating food that looks fresh and beautiful, but is made of wax. Also this trailer looks like a copy of a Wes Anderson movies. Аll the best, and keep up the good work.
My only problem with Zaslav is what he did to Cartoon Network, by erasing the channel! I grew up with that channel along with Nickelodeon and Disney Channel!
I knew when I saw the lead actor wearing the Superman suit and how whack it looked I knew we were in trouble because when I first saw Chris Reeves in his superman suit I knew it was gonna be a great movie sometimes looking at the costumes can kinda tell how the movies gonna turn out
Unless a proverbial miracle happens... I'm done with Marvel... And I'm done with DC! I mean I have simply LOST COUNT how many Batman and Superman reboots we have now... When does that time come... When we wake up and realise, that this dead horse we've been flogging, is now starting to decompose and stink????
I'm completely unenthused for Gunn's Superman and will more than likely skip it. The nail in the coffin for me was the addition of Krypto, I mean come on a dog in a cape. No no thank you. The disrespect for Cavill was the first reason. Thank you but no thank you.
I'm so blown away how many people are howling for that clown shoes nonsense. So we're making this a kids movie now? I mean like a Smurfs/Care Bears movie? Ok, have fun with that.
Oh look more fools who still think Superman needs to be an edgelord. Krypto was the best part of the trailer. Why's Krypto a no but a privileged rich guy beating up a clown or a midget that waddles like a penguin okay?
Gunn is such a narcissist. He literally modeled Rick flag and his love interest off himself and his wife in creature commandos (which sucks by the way).
Pattinson has become a respectable actor, he's really good. It's not his fault that this movie sucked. The lamest and most spineless Batman movie I've ever seen.
I mean he's more successful than most now. At least he can act better than Jared Leto playing Joker/Morbius and is a better person than Amber Heard/Ezra Miller.
I still find it amusing that people find "Twilight Batman" to be actually "good" - it's a sh*t movie. Just like how The Joker was a sh*t film as well but hey, it's not like the general public are known as the beacon of intelligence and good taste. DC's James Gunn Superman shows that they havent learned a bloody thing - lets rush to build up the entire universe all at once instead of a slow build... Either way, I think a good portion of us are done with superhero movies anyways.
The biggest mistake of James Gunn was to fire Henry Cavill. The biggest mistake of WB is to not stay close to the original material, the mighty comic books!
The budget for Dune II was reportedly $190 million, and its worldwide BO tally was $714 million. The budget for The Batman was $185 - $200 Million and it made close to $800 million. The assertion that Dune III being fast tracked whilst The Batman II has not yet begun filming, having anything to do with box office is nonsense. I do think something is transpiring behind the scenes. However, I seriously doubt it is anything to do with WB not wanting a Batman II. The rest of the report seems quite valid though.
Movies shouldn't need to hit a billion to be successful. Joker was lighting in a bottle, and Aquaman had the advantage of elaborate special effects combined with a holiday release.
Personally, I'm not a fan of James Gunn, or Zack Snyder either. I think they were both wrong for making Superman movies. (I would like to see Zaslav stick it to hollywood, though, but trusting another hired-gun rock star director isn't going to do it, in my opinion. I think Gunn is another hollywood-system loyalist, just like Snyder was, regardless of what Gunn's fans think.)
I will have nothing to do with the new Superman. What Gunn did to Henry Cavill was disgusting. If they fix that issue I’ll come back. I won’t rent the new Superman. I won’t even watch it for free on UA-cam. Screw this.
Just stop with the gender and race swaps, stay as close to the comic books as possible, and I’m talking about the good comics, and make it look plausible.
I honestly feel bad for Gunn. He is in a delicate position where there's little to no room for error, and I think he is painfully aware of it. He tries to keep a brave face, but deep down, he knows that if this fails, it's over, and his career might suffer for it.
I think his career is safe cause he's been very reliable with his movies prior to this. Even if he weren't, I wonder how much he's making for this. But I get your point though, he's gotta be taking anxiety medications
While I think his career will be fine even if this fails, he is still in a position of tightroping with a bicycle and the ground under him is full of land mines. If he fails, the superhero genre will be even more f***** than before.
Compassionate, but the guy got to make his own movie, tv show, and animation. He could have hired a director for superman, but he's enjoying himself too much.
I've never understood why it's implied that Reeves' The Batman was a flop. The movie made nearly $800 million and was the highest-grossing film of 2022. It was the second-highest grossing film since the pandemic. It still performed that well in spite of some Batman fatigue with the public.
It performed moderately well same as Man of Steel, but it wasn't some giant success. For a character as popular as Batman, it should've done better, especially if you compare it to the heights reached by Nolan's trilogy.

Nobody wanted that, though.

I still believe it was WB that caused issues with Snyder. I liked his vision it was much more closer to the comic world than other modern versions.
I liked Man of Steel as an alien invasion movie. I did not like it as a Superman movie.

Why??
I've also rewatched first two Superman films, they are better and still hold up.

I don't know about the Superhero genre, but DC most likely is.
I agree with the first point. Less with the second, though I know what you mean.
But still its just another fluffpiece for superhero fans, the interests still dwindle and it will not garther a massive crowd like Batman:Rises did.

Because it's glimpses from the movie and not the entire movie itself, so of course it will be disconnected images.
There were characters I've never heard of.
I have thought deeply about this for many years and I have finally come to a conclusion: The DC people at WB are all idiots. Batman is their single biggest/most popular character. How hard can it be for them to figure out what they need to do?
I have a theory that The Batman universe is their plan B if the Gunnverse fails. So I'd be prepared for a decade of Batman related stuff.
They discounted the people who know these characters the best. The fact they don’t reach out to the animated writers at least to consult angers me. It’s like they hate ppl who’ve been consistently been making successful properties

He could be fighting some really exceptional enemy. But in the trailer, every single time he engages with someone or something, it looks like he always needs an imodium. Heck, I'm surprised he didn't do the imodium face when a guy threw a can on his head.

And each iteration of Batman will just be of lower and lower quality.

Either way, I think a good portion of us are done with superhero movies anyways.
Oh so edgy and contrarian. I bet you get all the ladies at parties being so cool like that
@@chaosgyro fyi - your panties are in a knot, you, you might want to untie them. Cheers.
Does this include the marketing budget? Idk why, but most people ignore it to bloat numbers.
Movies shouldn't need to hit a billion to be successful. Joker was lighting in a bottle, and Aquaman had the advantage of elaborate special effects combined with a holiday release.
I think Gunn wants to do a Batman movie, and The Batman is interfering with his plans
“Dune” does well during awards season. That is why the third was fasttracked for production.
@@ChienaAvtzon It makes money, too, so a win all around.
Is it just me or does brave and the bold trigger thoughts of daytime soap opera bold and the beautiful?! Lame name n not a good association
The Batman/Joker movies sucked. I hope Gunn doesn't let either of those interpretations anywhere near his projects.
Matt Reeves said that the script was done, but then a couple days later James Gunn said there is not a finished script ? James Gunn is lying.
Well, one of them is, but its more likely that its Gunn than Reeves
I believe you’re spot on. Gunn lies constantly and hopes people don’t notice.
What the hell? Are you being fr?
Yeah I was so confused about that
I will not support any studio mistreating Henry "Perfect specimen, gamer and fellow nerd" Cavil and I'm not interested in different Superman either.
I will have nothing to do with the new Superman. What Gunn did to Henry Cavill was disgusting. If they fix that issue I’ll come back. I won’t rent the new Superman. I won’t even watch it for free on UA-cam. Screw this.
That bad screeanings of Superman are fake, since yesterday they are appearing in some facebook pages with a very bad reputation
It was a bad screening. The investors aren't happy and WB is worried.
Fire whoever chose the music for the video
That's not going to be the movie theme Jack- ass
Indeed😅😅😅😅😅
@@bola5671Gunn is a hack he's been coasting on his GOTG success his whole career.
Let me get my tiny violin. His vision is crap, he's a bad person and a liberal to boot. So screw him sideways. (PS: No, I'm not a Snyder Bro.)
Compassionate, but the guy got to make his own movie, tv show, and animation. He could have hired a director for superman, but he's enjoying himself too much.
Great! Thank you for clarifying. You’re spot on as well
I've never understood why it's implied that Reeves' The Batman was a flop.
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp Yes, I've heard all these arguments. I don't buy it. Context: Batman fatigue, pandemic, HBO Max.....and it still earned nearly a billion.
@batman.darthmaul Batman fatigue? That's simply not true. This movie came out 2 years after the lockdowns when things were returning to normal, so that wasn't a factor. Max, OK sure.
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp Things "returning to normal"? People STILL don't go to the movies the way they used to. We're talking at least 1/3 less. Regarding fatigue, Batman movies are _nowhere near_ the event they used to be. The average moviegoer (and don't fool yourself, they are the target audience) doesn't get all a-twitter over Batman movies anymore. It actually goes back to the Schumacher era, but the long passage of time and Nolan's quality filmmaking somewhat reversed that, at least until Dark Knight Rises, and certainly after. If Reeves' series ends up not happening, WB/Discovery would be very smart to give B-man a long film hiatus. Unfortunately, they've already made plans otherwise....
‘The box office for Batman Begins’ didn’t suggest that the box office for The Dark Knight would be what it was.
@@krishall2086 But it was a refreshing change to what Schumacher did with the character. Matt Reeves’ is just Nolan Lite. Which is why The Batman just edged over 800 million where a property with that kind of brand recognition should do a billion easy.
@@fishjones4618 - “The Batman” barely earned $770mil.
Do I think Superman could turn DC around? Sure!
*THIS* Superman? No.
James Gunn works great for individual films and sequels, but not for an entire DC cinematic universe. The overload of “Gunn-isms” would get old so damn fast.
I don't want the James Gunn universe Superman looks cheaper than the CW universe and cluttered with characters. As for The Batman 2 the first one was awful is unwatchable when I try to re watch it. The Peguian was great but that's it. So I hope no Batman 2
Can some one explain to me why scripts now take years to write? I thought that a Studio got the rights to somethng, hired a script writer who was enthusiastic about it and they started filming within 6 months. Now it seems like it's a couple of years in writing, 6 months of shooting and another couple of years of reshoots. Is this all due to VFX issues?
David Zaslav aint any better than the previous regime lolz
He might even be worse. He came in with an ego and an agenda, wanting to make Discovery as big as WB. No Dave... Take your shark docs and get TF over yourself. He had no idea what he was doing with such historic IPs
Why the F is a “The Batman” sequel even being considered? The Penguin aside, why cause confusion when you would want a coherent DC Cinematic Universe?
I’m confused, which movie will have Harley Quinn farting?
All of them
Glad someone’s finally said The Batman wasn’t that big of a hit! I thought it was just me who thought it was a distinctly AVERAGE film!
Everything Gunn is touching is turning to tin- he’s gonna finish the DCEU and turn DC into an even bigger laughing stock! Should NEVER have got rid of Snyder- his JL was on the verge of being absolutely spectacular!!
James Gunn movies will cost more money than they earn
I remember Vallient Renegade saying how Superman costs $300 million to make. Considering how rule of thumb says a movie needs 2.5 times the total cost to make a profit or break even, that means Superman needs to make at least $750 million to get that.
@@rhedosaurus2251Not a chance it cost that much. Even ridiculous space films like the Marvels needed absurd levels of reshoots to hit that kind of money. And Gunn hasn’t blown the budget on his other films.
If it sounds ridiculous to spend that much then it probably didn’t happen.
@@Flaris VR used tax returns or something along those lines from the UK as his main source. And it's not like he makes up BS.
@@Flaris Agreed! People can't be trusted. He isn't Zach Snyder
@@rhedosaurus2251they need it to make a billion just to restore confidence.
It’s possible this massive budget covers stuff that will be used further on in the DCU
Good coverage! Thanks 😎
The first The Batman was a terrible movie. Why make a second?
Indeed 😅😅😅😅😅
Krypto the super dog already spells major disaster for the DCU. Camp cheese was not the way to go, James.
There's a reason why James Gunn was fired from Disney that everyone's forgotten. When James Gunn's P Diddy moment comes, James Gunn will flop harder than his Australian distant cousin Ray Gunn's dancing.
Most studio films do additional shooting/reshoots. It's budgeted for and not necessarily a cause for concern for the final film. Quite the opposite sometimes.
For Henry Cavill, I’m hoping this new Superman iteration dies quickly
There was a box fight with Uwe Boll? 😳 And the critics were stupid enough to go into the ring against him? 😂😂😂
Someone needs to do a wellness check on Rian Jonson, and ask him how his Star Wars trilogy is going. ☠
I wish we could go back to a time when we looked forward to these movies coming out rather than dreading them.
I absolutely hated The Batman. It had great ideas, but man it sucked. Worst Bruce Wayne put on screen. The "all white men bad" story line is old and this movie is filled with it. I don't care if the sexonr movie never happens
Batman is literally white my boy, almost everyone in that movie was flawed in some way. Did you just pull some bullshit out your ass and cover your eyes with it while watching?
Worst riddler.😅😅😅😅😅 or should i say zodiax killer
Gunn causing this genre will to potentially be put on ice, the very genre he heavily helped flood normies into that in turn helped ruin it, will be funnier than any "joke" in his movies.
James Gunn sucks and he lies ALL THE TIME Im tired of people not calling him out for it
cry about it some more
@@stellviahohenheim but why stick up for a liar??
@@Ghosthound_X because the anti-woke youtube sphere has descended into assessing art based on team sports logic of "our guys GOOD their guys BAD" while not even understanding that Gunn is as woke as they come
Test screenings never should be taken as an accurate barometer of overall quality.
Lest we forget: the test screenings for _BvS_ were meant with standing ovations... 'nuff said.
Andre simping for Gunn, as per usual.
Can’t be hard to make a Superman Movie! a) Cast Henry Cavill! b) Use the comics as a basis for a script! c) Sign up John Williams for the music! Outcome : Billion dollar movie!
Superman is the hardest movie to write. You have to write a compelling movie with stakes where your hero is a god.
@harrisd1983 Which the comics work as a base for, since they show how that plays out.
So far, the only DC properties that have been close to the comics, is all of the Arrowverse shows. Which has been totally destroyed by Gunn being there.
Dont like the new Superman and dont like the new Batman, at this time just dont like DC
I’m not rooting for its failure. I’m just generally sour about anything DC, because they have a perpetual loser approach to everything, both movies and comics. I’ve been burned too many times as a fan because they can’t stick to a course. They’re the Democratic Party of IPs.
"I went to dinner with a source who said his father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate saw the movie." Riiiight.
