A Very useful boost converter (XL6009 DC to DC) trick

You should know this trick if you're using this boost converter. Here I used a switch between the pin 1 (GND) and pin 2 (enable) of the XL6009 boost converter. And this small modification will makes a boost on and off feature to the module.

THERE ARE A LOT OF SIMPLE WAYS TO DISABLE THE BOOST FEATURE OF THE BOOST MODULE. JUST LIKE, YOU CAN USE TWO WAY SWITCH AT THE INPUT WIRE. ONE CONNECTION WITH THE MODULE AND JUMP THE SECOND CONNECTION OF THE SWITCH TOWARDS THE OUTPUT.
WHY PLAY WITH MODULE IC, RISKING IT, SO IT CAN BE DAMAGED????

Does it shut off when battery voltage gets to low or will it drain the cell to 0.0 volts? That would ruin a lithium cell.

Depends on if your battery have a protection circuit integrated. If not, that'll kill it
