  • A question, "Do you have any questions for us?" is typically asked at the end of the interview. You do want to leave a good impression before you leave, so the answer to this particular question is always "Yes". Not asking questions is a missed opportunity. Asking good questions not only shows you are interested in the position but also it is a chance to show that you are critically thinking and actively thinking during the interview. you just need to make sure it is the right question.
    So, what should you ask?
    Your new position is like a new relationship. Be careful what to ask, because there is a fine line between right question and bad questions. Make sure to avoid cliche questions or questions that could have answered through basic online research. And never ask questions about salary, benefits, or time off. Asking these questions indicates that you are already thinking about these subjects and it will definitely damage your image.
    Some of the good examples are;
    What do you see my role and responsibility as a medical assistant growing from 1 year from now?
    What does the typical day as a project manager for this organization look like?
    I've read and understood all of the qualifications and skills necessary to be successful in this role. In your opinion, which ones are the most important?
    How can someone succeed and grow within the company?
    What are the specific goals and expectation for the position?
    If I am fortunate enough to land this position, what would be one of the first projects I would be involved in?
    What are the next steps in the interview process?
    Asking these questions demonstrates you are serious about the position and leave a good image. Don't overwhelm the interviewer with too many questions, and try to limit them to 3.

    I wish I could ask them what a typical day looks like! Sounds like an easy way out. I can never ask because in 90 percent of my interviews they voluntarily discuss the duties and expectations throughout the interview and before they ask certain questions. So it's a pointless question to me.

    This is the way how I handle this portion of the interview:
    Most of the questions I ask tend to be about how what qualities that the employers look for in their work force, how can one succeed in this position, and what does a typical day in the office look like, and how can one prepare themselves to properly execute [insert company's name] desired goals?
    In order to leave the interview in a good hearted manner, I tend to ask this last question, "When can I start?"

      Raul Martinez One of my favorites is, "What would a typical day look like"! In one Interview, I found out that there were meetings ALL the time, and people were expected to attend, even if not applicable! In my head, I was like, whoa, dude, I want to work, not attend useless meetings just to make an appearance. It was a great job, but there were two things that turned me away, and that was one of them. Glad to know I'm not the only one who asks!

    would it be appropriate to ask about the work environment? Such as saying something to the effect of "what kinds of people would i be collaborating with"
